Hi carrie, so sorry to hear about your diagnosis but be brave
some years ago I had a spinal operation that went wrong and left me with agonizing pain then years later found out I had ankloysing spondylitis, again a lifetime of pain, I was always active in my younger years but that was then
I'm 62 now and saw your videos this year and you have given me the inspiration to get out there again and enjoy walking and camping, pain is a personal feeling that you cant explain to anyone, your completely right, never give in, you can do it, lol just slowly, once again carrie, well done and thank you x

Carrie, I'm Jimmy. I found I had kidney cancer and 4 months after my surgery to remove the tumor I found I had a bad aortic heart valve and needed open heart surgery to put in a mechanical valve, but before I could have that surgery I had to have all my teeth removed because of possible infections which could cause replacement of the new valve. Some days I'm good to go, some days I don't want to do anything, all psychological, but we have to keep on keepin on and never quit. Accept the challenge, embrace the suck, and climb that mountain of suffering. I feel for you and pray for you and send you strength and love. 🤟🤟🤟❤️⭐😁👍 Life is worth the living

Hi Carrie, well done for being open and sharing - chronic pain and CFS are both very common but not always much talked about. I had CFS for 3 years and know how devastating and limiting it can be and feel. I've been doing DNRS for 8 months now though, and I believe I'm out the other side. If you search for DNRS Success Stories on CZcams you'll find many testimonials for all kinds of chronic conditions. DNRS uses a neuroplastic approach, and most chronic pain is also neuroplastic. I recommend Alan Gordon's 'Tell me about your pain' podcast series as he focuses on the use of neuroplasticity to heal chronic pain. (This costs nothing and so is a good place to start!) The neuroplastic approach to healing chronic conditions is the real deal - it's science backed and is a well trodden path by very many people. Shoot for 100% recovery and accept nothing less! You can do it Carrie!

Good on you, don't let it get you down. Being positive is the best thing you can do. In 2007 I was told after an incident that I was lucky because somehow I never severed my spinal cord and that I should have been in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I had surgery on my back and it helped. Unfortunately I still have trouble with my legs and the nerves and can't control them and have had several falls. This has made my condition worse again to the stage where it looks like I need surgery again. I know use a walking stick everyday but at least I'm still walking. I love camping and the outdoors only now its car camping for me and have an emergency beacon with me incase anything happens. Just in case. Hopefully you can still continue on your journey in life without to much inconvenience. ATB from a fellow camper.

Good for you be strong! 35, still a youngster! I was hurting all over, some days just unable to move, luckily I work remotely from home and didn't need to go into an office. I changed up to eating more anti-inflammatory foods and was able function and drop the meds, don't know if that's something you looked at or if you are way more severely affected. Worth a look at to get off meds for sure!
Very glad that you are back with us though! Si X A Brit over the pond 🇬🇧🇺🇸

@@ukcarrieoutdoors9840 Hi ya Carrie, well, I changed out dairy with unsweetened coconut milk, switched to Goat products cheese, has a tange but it's okay. Being a Brit I like my tea with a splash of milk, no real substitute for that or you have a funky taste! Incorporate turmeric and ginger fresh and powder form. I wouldn't say go Keto, as you look in real good shape and don't want to lose anything. It's just taking in anti-inflammatory food stuff, are you able to do salmon or mackerel good Omega3, I switched out sugar to erythritol, but have really cut sugar as the Merican's load everything up on sugar. Being that you're a vegan you're probably aware of better ways to get proteins from bean and legume sources.
Green tea, Lemon and ginger tea. I found that store bought bread causes aches, not sure if it was due to so many additives, so online there is a great old falla called Steve from Canada, he has a heap of simple bread making on CZcams Artisan bread with Steve. Generally just four ingredients in small amounts, way less yeast and salt.
Not sure If useful or not. Si X

We should be extremely grateful that you are willing to share your time with us. At 35 you are half my age plus, and I think you are fantastic, not with standing your medical issues. Carrie the only way you can really enjoy being out is to do what YOU enjoy doing, we have to get enjoyment out of watching you do that, if we want to see you doing something else, we should get off our butts and do it our self. i personally don't get out as much as I used to, so I really like to see you, and others, enjoying what is now hard for me to do. You don’t owe anyone an explanation and it is brave to share this with everyone. Being in nature is good for your immune system and health so it doesn’t matter how you get there, how long you stay or what you do when you are there. Just keep enjoying yourself. All the best.

I was just thinking a couple of days ago that I hadn't seen you for a bit and now I know why.
Sorry to hear about your issues and I hope that you can keep on doing what you love doing and improve as time goes by.
Plenty of info out there and doubtless others who are going through similar things who can help you as well.
    Take care.

I had a girlfriend who gad fibromyalgi so I have a sense of what you must be going through. Two things that helped her...
    1. We bought one of those outdoor jacuzzi inflatable tubs. It gave respite.
    2. CBD seemed to take the edge off.
I'm not sure if it's your thing, but an electric mountain bike would allow you to go deeper into nature. I have one and they are bloody fun too!
I'm glad to see you keeping your chin up. Respect.
