I love that the most hardcore technical players still use an innovation made years ago by etho. Really says how influential etho is
Etho clocks are the backbone of redstone. Pretty sure most redstone builds have it.
Also because any other clock is larger and less easy to set and change the cycle length.
It actually is ones of the few circuits that are almost 'one-block' solutions (many mods often add)
but yeah this all shows how great this innovation and its inventor really is.

i cant help laughing at what they did with the gravity duper. not in a bad way, its just mesmerizing to see the concrete powder get launched back and fort straight into the water source and blast chamber effectively removing the re-placing of the powders.

You must be knew. Everyone knows that design as "Etho hopper clock". He probably made it popular back then and the name sticked (Much better this way, cause everyone knows what kind of clock is meant)
@@racernatorde5318 i remember watching Etho’s video when it first came out. I think he was actually the original designer of the clock. Hoppers had just come into the game and i didnt see anyone else first. Granted it could be that he was just ONE of the first people to figure it out with the right time on youtube to be popular for it. But i think he is the first to design it, whereas everyone agrees he is the first to popularize it.
@@racernatorde5318 That is the joke. Etho invented it thus many people refers to it as an "Etho Clock". Etho himself however meticulously calls it a "Hopper Clock". This is why I found Mangos middle way funny

you could also just fill the bots inventories with obsidian so that if they do pickup any it goes into that slow rather than there hand. surely you wouldn't need to run the system long enough where that filling up might be an issue. only issue is that once its backed up, that solution simply offers more of a buffer rather than dealing with the actual solution.

Wouldn't that mean that some obsidian would be picked up by the players before reaching the hoppers?
@@LunizIsGlacey I'm actually not sure if the game would prioritize a hopper over a player in terms of picking up items. This idea is half baked and a lazy route around a just as simple solution anyhow.
@@TheAGIGuy I think your idea is a really good one. In my experience (of chasing after items when I accidentally hit Q), the hopper always gets it faster than the player.
@@ceruchi2084 i think it has to do with an item timer, when an item is created i think there is a time where a player can't pick it up, but i'm not sure if that aplies to hoppers and hopper minecarts

That snowfarm would be the perfect occasion to use the furnace minecart: first put the player in a minecart, then a hopper minecart to pick up the buckets and the furnace minecart in the back to push
Not rlly u have to constently put coal in it and a hopper minecart would probably lose stuff

@@YounesLayachi exactly. The furnace minecart is totally useless. This would be one of the rare exceptions, where one could justify its use. Bisedes that its total trash
Nice idea, though obviously without furnace minecart. Just sending three or four hopper minecarts with some delay between eachother to pick up the items. I am sure there are systems that can tell apart which minecart is the one with the player
You’d think after streaming 10 hours a day consecutively doing mind boggling complicated redstone would cause burnout. However clearly, Scicraft members are just built different.

The dispensing of the concrete is probably to help the reliability of the sorting system. If you got a lot of the same colour all at once then it wouldn't be able to keep up, but with it being dispensed it comes at a steady manageable pace
Respect for you ilmango, many Minecraft youtubers use Etho's hopper clock design and never give credit to him, even make video tutorials to make it and take credit for themselves, shame on them but noble deed for you.
Yeah, i knew the hopper could be used for redstone but just learned about etho a couple of month ago.
Such a brilliant and entertaining person. Immediately became a fan. His googler (?, the big storage system) is impressive.
Reason why for the hoppers in concrete farm is for item despawning time just as a failsafe.
I have a concrete factory and items don't take 5 minutes to reach the storage system

I assume the item dropper at the concrete factory was for preventing overload on the filters due to the items comming in in batches

You could drop a potion of enchanting through the end portal to reset the obsedian. That way if they had mending on the pickaxe it would mend them and you wouldn't need to get more pick axes

It is interesting how many hermits from the hermitcraft server are know for a part of technical Minecraft. Etho for hopper clocks, Mumbo for red stone and vaults, doors or bunkers. Tango is known for his iron farm designs.

Obsidian Farm: Obsidian gets collected by hoppers, who put it into a dropper, who dropps it into water beneath the farm, to finally sort it somewhere else. And then the problem arises that someone could possibly Pick up a obsidian because the happens could overflow.

The amount of progress these people are making is insane.
For the obsidian farm: Could send the items straight into a water stream that feeds into a system of multiple shulker box loaders? This way you don't have to worry about building enough dropper systems to keep up with the rate of item production
Fill their inventory with obsidian other than the one pick. They will have to pickup a bunch of obsidian before it took the picks slot.
Oh how loooong i have been looking for a 1.17 shulker loader design that works and now I got one thanks to a few frames of your vid. Still, if someone has a link to a build vid of that loader I would not be mad.
the afk-players could have obsidian in their inv (instead of whatever other fillbock you are using) so if they pick up obsidian, it wont go into the pickaxe slot
until their inventory fills up lol
Has anyone else noticed that part of the end island is now dry? I can't imagine the work it took to flood it and now the time it took to drain it!
If you had the time, you could actually find other Overworld End Portals and creator more duplicators for each concrete powder colour.

Would it not top out at 16 accounts around the obsidian platform, given that there are only 16 distinct perimeter blocks? (Even though the whole platform is 25 blo- n/m, answered my own question! Theoretically you could have bots above and below, too, not just on the sides.)
Add a haste II Beacon near the obsidian farm to increase its speed.
the speed increase is very small, and they still have to wait for the item to come through, so its probably unnecessary. not sure though
@@nostromo6257 They dont really have to wait, they can easily adjust the clock so items arrive faster. I think they will add a beacon sometime in the futute.

Hello, I have a question, how efficient can you make "passive" mob farm, passive means no water, redstone, trapdoors etc., using only let's say sandstone and sandstone slabs?
I tried to do this but It's hard for me to go past 1800 items/h and don't know how to improve it :/
Why would you do that though, those redstoneless mob farms are usually super early game anyway just upgrade to a better farm later

with the obsidian farm why don't you just have the items fall into water instead of go into hoppers
Could partially work, but there are two problems. The hoppers right infront of the players prevent them from ever picking up obsidian (Assuming they don't back up) and the platfarm can regenerate to quickly for items to fall down. They would then just land on top of the platfarm. Though this problem should not be a problem for the layout they choose, as they don't regenerate the platform that quickly

They have a wither farm so maybe they'll use the coal from that, Idk tho!

Thays true but its the only place I think they have enough resources to power the cactus Farm - I just remembered they have the lava farm so maybe they will power it using lava buckets. I'm excited to see how they do it!
