Finally, a practical dirt farm! It's been technically renewable for quite some time now, but nor practical to farm. Now we can finally stop destroying vast swaths of land just to get dirt.
Can stop duping gravel for renewable dirt
@@Halinn bartering farms get you gravel so you havnt needed to dupe since 1.16
That was a lot better than buying podzol from wandering traders, but those were still two-player farms. And they required crafting. Doable, but not exactly practical.

@@BigCroca Gravel is renewable with bartering. We still need a good way to renew sand though, but I think Mojang said they want to add that in 1.18.

That's for the same reason that you don't pronounce the ll in "tortilla", but say "tortiya". That problem doesn't exist in German, btw - we just drop the second L and skip the entire argument about a potential Spanish pronunciation.

@@donovantownshend8783 I just recently discovered that llama is written with double l. Interesting stuff. I thought for some time that it was a kind of misspelling from people.
Encase anyone was wondering why this is, most languages pronounce double l as y. Ilmango is german I believe and as such probably believes that's how it's pronounced.
@@TemphinFD That's actually very wrong, German is very literal in pronunciations. Double consonants only somewhat affect preceding vowels and are not a thing at the start of a word. He also specifically said he uses the Spanish pronunciation of "llama", similar to how people say "tortilla".

Sieve Dirt into Sand or Crush stone into gravel and crush gravel into Sand, this would even fit into that archeology stuff they want to add.
Making sand out of dirt doesn't really make any sense, but some way to make it out of stone would truly be nice

Why do they put composters on the hoppers
To reduce lag, when hoppers have something they can pull from such as a composter (or in the past furnaces were commonly used) they don't perform the checks for items on the ground above them, and so it really helps with hopper heavy farm performance.
