    It is weird how Robles gets criticized for the misplay on the catch today, but there wasn't a single word about the misplay by Raley on Tuesday on a very catchable ball. Also a lot of criticism thrown at Scott for pinch hitting Garver for Raley against the lefty, but then no apologies today when Garver took McFarland deep and then Raley struck out on 3 pitches with a couple bad swings.

      Raley’s already proven himself as a contributor. He’s one of the best hitters on the team and no one doubts his hustle. It was probably just the sun that got to Robles but that’s just a tough first look for the new guy in the locker room.

      Scott gets the criticism for taking out Raley for Garver because Raley has been arguably the team’s best hitter and it isn’t like he’s Mendoza against lefties and it feels like he got taken out solely for the pitcher’s handedness.

      It's possible for both decisions to be terrible.

      Because the main thing he does well is defense any offense is not really expected

      @@SeattleSporting I get why they picked him up but he needs to be very good in the field if he can’t hit

    I very much appreciate Colby's pragmatism. No sugar in that coating! Yet not doom and gloom either. (Perhaps just gloom? 😅)
    Go have fun. Elsewhere. 😉

    Did any clarity come of Woo’s weird pitch clock violation?

    • @SeattleSporting
      @SeattleSporting Před měsícem +2

      It was in relation to the clock between innings for warm up pitches. During non-nationally televised regular season games the clock starts at 2 minutes and 5 seconds. The Umpire is to warn the pitcher with 25 seconds left, and then the final pitch must be thrown by the time there is 20 seconds left. On the broadcast they said Woo threw a pitch at 29 seconds left which would be legal, so I presume they meant to say he threw it at 19 seconds left.
      He did so because before the final warmup pitch, Cal was having a pitch com issue and wasn't looking, so Woo waited until Cal looked to throw it. It was too late according to the Umpire so Woo was charged an automatic ball.

    Scott has been terrible with pitcher management and batting calls. I have been patient, but I am done. Am I alone here? I know in person, people are as upset as I am. I know we won. This is an aggregate rant.

      Scott is, hands down, the worst manager in MLB at handling the bullpen, lineup, and substitutions. The only strategy he seems to know is lefty/righty matchups.

      Evans is indeed very good but Woo has better #s facing Salvador Perez and Juan Soto. I've never seen a starter with a .53 WHIP. That's insane.
