Visiting the Christmas Markets in Cologne, Germany

In December 2021 we got to visit the Christmas markets in Köln (Cologne), Germany. The markets are all around the city, and you're bound to stumble upon most of them by accident. In the short time of us being there, we visited 5 markets, along with exploring the rest of the city.
So much of Cologne was bombed during WW2, however, it turns out that so many of the buildings were lost due to fires as opposed to explosions. This is why the Kölner Dom still stands, and I can guarantee you that it'll make you breathless, at least for a moment. If you're fit enough to venture up the spier to view the belfry and the views from the top, then definitely do this! It's a whopping €5 to do it, and so worth it!
