    Your obstacle is so cool, I'm waiting on a panda hobby sport k1 to come in, in a few days...so it's been really nice to watch your videos on it. But keep the course up, I think your onto something. It's nice to see, because this was my next 1/18 rig...even though I don't even have the panda yet haha ✌️

    Awesome appreciate the video, I just got the new FCX 18 LC 80 oh I love it. I have change the wheels and tires that’s it so far, I’ll watch for your next one

      I understand you love it.
      It will make it a lot better. Donno why so many reviewers say those tires are good. They have a "2" and are maybe (?) a little bit stickier than the "old" TeraX, but IMO do not perform better. They have foams inside... maybe good for tilt angle. Even the super old (and no foams) Hobby Plus tires perform way better, at least on my pebble stones (check the CR-24 "2s" MCCT).
      However, even with better tires most people would upgrade to metal whees and better tires, so not a big deal. Everything else is really good, even shocks are very ok, so IMO no upgrades needed urgently. Maybe a smaller, lighter battery would also improve performance (did not test).
      What I love is the new 2-speed gearbox with shifting servo mounted to the gearbox, did already disassemble my FCX18 and try to mount it on an Injora Tarantula TRX4M cage, unfortunately would need different links (and maybe driveshafts) to make it fit (for wheel position), will probably order a spare gearbox and do this, sould be a top performer.
      The FCX18 is awesome and the LC80 performed way better than I would have expected (do also have the "old" LC80s, Katana, Patriot and LC80, and their performance is mainly because of body and interior rather poor).

    Hello Donald. Love all your super detailed videos. I just watched a bunch of your reviews of various FMS mini crawlers. Do you know if it’s possible to mount the body of the FMS 1:18 FJ Cruiser on the FCX18 chassis? I want the performance of the new FCX18 but being a 1:1 FJ Cruiser owner, I want the looks of a FJ. Seeing how the FCX18 has the same body as the early 1:18 LC80 that shares the same chassis as the FJ, I thought perhaps a direct body swap might be possible?

      They have slightly different wheelbase (155 vs. 160 mm). Still, if you remove the interior it could work with a bit of modification.

    MCCT is the best!
    is FMS Lemur in plans for test?

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  Před 9 měsíci

      Nearly ordered it yesterday during the live stream ;-) - Donno, maybe... I'd have to buy FCX24 K5 before, ASX24, the new SCX24 and 3 TRX-4M.
      ... That's quite a bit of money, the more if I have way more microtrucks here than I use ;-)
      Do not think the Lemur is pretty, rather the contrary... in my forum there are only negative comments (ugly, high, drives bad, "why did FMS do this", ... first FMS truck ever with so many negative comments) - received an Injora Tarantula chassis today from Amazon (for TRX4M), ... try to use it with FCX18... did already test, skid is too narrow, but nothing undoable.

      @@victorvaganov4119 Both awesome! Wish they would release an updated version of the Atlas 6x6. Atlas does still have the Hobby Plus CR-18 (not P, so no portals) axles (and I assume still the old TurboRacing electronics). There is a rather new 6x6 of Hobby Plus with the good new electronics, the "Conquerer" (also sold under brand Absima and other names here), which is rather unknown (I do not have it), but does already come with the good new ESC (radio, ... Flysky). The new CR-24s do also have those awesome new electronics.
      But FMS and Hobby Plus seem not to cooperate anymore...
      Still love the Atlas, way better than the/my Cheyenne 6x6, a lot of fun.
      And CR-18P Evo performs very, very good (check MCCT 29 to see that it is not really worse than the Fury Wagon).
