You can certainly run a screw multiple times to clean up the threads, and I do it occasionally, but I'd recommend using a tap instead. Any metal part I get for RC's, I run a tap through the threads first. It's very quick, easy, and works like a charm. It has saved me from breaking many screws.
I'd have to do this by hand 24 times ;-) - I do have 1.6 mm thread making tool, but using a screw and and electric screwdriver is soooo much easier in this case... and faster.
My truck came with the 68mm mud tires from hobby plus but came on the plastic wheels, glad I upgraded to injora wheels instead of going with the steelies

Walter vielleicht machst mal ein Reifenreview in deinen MCCS?
Das mit den Reifen geht leider nicht wirklich... bzw. ist viel zu aufwändig. Vor 2 Jahren hatte ich (fast) alle RC4WD Reifen 1.0 schon gekauft dafür, für so ein Video, dann kam Proline mit den Hyrax, Injora mit den guten und ungefähr jede Woche kamen neue Reifen raus.
Man müsste alle Reifen auf den gleichen Felgen testen... am gleichen Auto und natürlich unter den gleichen Bedingungen. Das wäre damals mit ca. 10 - 15 Reifen schon aufwändig gewesen, und heute mit geschätzt 40 - 50 Reifen fast unmöglich. Das größte Problem sind immer noch die "gleichen Felgen", ummontieren ist ja der Horror.
Und dann noch die Einlagen... verschiedene Einlagen, verschiedene Performance.
Vented, nicht vented? Mit Einlagen, ohne, mit "Upgrade Einlagen", ...
Der eine Reifen wird bei einem leichten Truck super sein, der andere vielleicht bei einem schweren, ...
Es wäre cool...
Aber ist unglaublich kompliziert und fast nicht zu machen.

The silver ones are bad too. Super annoying to assemble with one side being deep and one flat. I had to tap all the hubs after the first one was tight. Also two of the hexes weren’t machined properly so either ther front axle or rear axle was wider.
Unfortunately I assembled the first wheel without widening the holes (in rims), which seemed to have worked. However, after this video I disassembled this 1st wheel again because I saw, that the screws weren't even in hex (some deeper, some not so deep). Widened holes and then found, that this rim was bit bent/damaged because of assemblage without widened holes. Very annoying to reassemble then.
4:31 This is an assembly technique mirrored on the Injora site (maybe they stole the idea from you?) for their stamped steel wheels. A known issue, and instead of addressing the problem at the factory, they offer a work-around. 😐
Guess all those tricks have already been used (by somebody) for the 1.0 RC4WD Steelies. Those were the first ones and also very difficult to assemble.
IMO Injoras are easier, and Batrazzi easiest (made some videos somewhen ;-) ).
