This car is amazing to do long trips, driving and caring less much about anything.
That "caring less" includes not giving a fuck for the traffic code, common behavior on luxury car owners/drivers?
MikeVonDoom he meant more like "stress free" driving. Nothing is going to bother you while driving this car.
By caring less i mean, gears, acceleration ratios, and a lot of factors that we cars lovers always watch on. This car is to enjoy easy driving, not to break rules :)

Henry, I think we will need a Rolls Royce vs Skoda umbrella review in the future. Track battle perhaps?
The reviewer says it was quiet in there but listening to the video I've picked up a lot of road noise.
The suspension also seems pretty spot on for these kinds of cars, which is to say hard.
Cameras can pick up some additional noise due to mounting and such, but also it's on 21s, which are too large in my opinion. Drop down to 20s and you'll be fine.

another great insight Henry. i love these type of videos from yourself and Harry for exposing the cars interesting little details and individual touches as cars like these are a rare sight on UK roads and videos like this one are as close to the real thing as a lot of us will even get.

I was lucky enough to drive one in Italy for a whole weekend and it's simply amazing. Intimidating at first due to its size but you get used to it very quickly. Simply amazing. Way better than a Continental GT.

With all the talk about the umbrella slot, does it dry the umbrella when you put it back,or does the holder become moldy over time?
Yeah, go Wollaston! (where this was filmed). The roads are pretty damn rough around here, so looks like the ride is pretty good!
This was a cool short video! I do think it would be cool if you guys could take a Continental GT V12 and Wraith to a track and a drive through the countryside to compare the two side by side.

Great video. Very funny. I do have a soft spot for the Wraith. I've seen one in the metal and it looked very elegant with a hint of sportiness...like a younger member of the Royals in trainers. I would love to see a more in-depth vid with a blast on a track. I would say take it rallying, as that was Mr. Catchpole's previous report, but TopGear already did that with the Bentley and anyway I would guess that RR wouldn't approve! : )

You stated it was around the area of EVO Towers, i live in Lincolnshire. The roads you were driving on looked very much like my local roads surrounding Lincolnshire ??
We're in Northamptonshire so the roads are reasonably similar.

I did feel rather like I was at times. Spookily quiet in there.
I know this is a silly question but: how does it compare to the V8 Conti? Also, while I do think a Rolls on a track would be interesting, it would probably be better if you take it to the south of France or something posh like that. More dignifying.
Rolls certainly has a much more comfortable cabin. The continental is faster however due to the Rolls significant weight. Depends on your preferences really! Comfort or speed. Don't forget to factor in how quick the wraith still is!
Both are wonderful but perhaps surprisingly different.The principal differences being that the R-R feels much bigger and more softly sprung than the Conti GT. The Bentley would probably feel like it had the agility of a GT3 if you got into straight after the Wraith. Perhaps I could drive the Wraith to a circuit in the South of France as a compromise?!
Henry Catchpole I'd watch that, it'd be nice to see it's gleaming bodywork haunting those roads.

nm, given that the noise of your hands shuffling on the steering wheel is loud and clear... i sense the road noise i hear in the vid is because of a very sensitive camera mic...
A long-distance drive review would be interesting; so too would be a better mounted camera, as the one used in this review introduced a level of noise and shake not usually encountered in such vehicles. Still, a nice car indeed.
I say you guys should do reviews on any car that's interesting.

I think you're right about the sensitive mic - I was surprised how loud the road noise was on camera when I watched it back. It seems incredibly quiet when you're actually in the car.

I believe it's European legislation. The wing mirrors' size is based on the size of the car...

It was the camera mount I'm afraid, not the car. I'll try to fix it for next time - awfully annoying.
I would pick a Bentley over a Rolls Royce anytime. But still, this is a really nice car too.
