    Very interesting set up. Gorgeous petunias. Thank GOD you poked holes in the plastic...as a horticulturalist, I stay away from any container system without drainage. Once I saw you poke holes in the bottom of the liner, I breathed a sigh of relief. Very nice set up!

    My favourite petunia I don’t think a garden should be without it for the smell alone 💕

    That is the best idea of putting plastic liner 👍.. I have been using landscaping fabric on my hanging baskets and It helps so much for watering and the coco liner stays longer.. I. Used mine over and over now from the last few years. I just emptied everything after the season and put them away. I save a lot of money doing it..

    Hi Matthew! Still catching u on past videos of yours. That is a great way to hang the hayracks without damaging the railing. I love the supertunia vistas, and the Bordeaux are so pretty. I think I'll try to get some of them next year. Thank you so much for sharing!

    I use table cloth material, and it works just fine. And without the coco liner, you don't need it.

    You can buy bulk lengths of coco coir at most local nurseries, so that you can accommodate any size container. Not sure if it's any cheaper than what you buy.
    I like the idea of lining with landscape fabric also that someone else mentioned. Clever idea!

    I'm here from Jess's channel. I was so impressed with your stone pathways, existing and in the making. Do you have any videos that show all the steps of the process? Preparing the ground, laying, leveling, helpful tips, etc? Please share.

    • @TheSouthernersNorthernGarden
      @TheSouthernersNorthernGarden  Před 2 lety

      I don’t. There’s nothing exciting about the process. I lay them on top of mulch and cover them with more mulch up to the edges. There’s not really any prep or digging involved. The mulch breaks down over time and they appear more sunken into the ground than they originally are.

      @@TheSouthernersNorthernGarden Thanks! I figured you would have to use sand and level everything to start. I'm definitely going to try this after I find a friend who can help me carry home the stone. I have a quarry/stone place nearby.

    How did your Fairytrail Bride Hydrangea do? I haven't seen it since you first showed it. I want to buy one this year. Please let me know.
