- Hi everyone, today I wanted to go over what I'm considering my annual of the year - Proven Winners Supertunia Bordeaux. It is a beautiful purple petunia with veining that is extremely vigorous. As a bonus, I've thrown in Proven Winners Lemon Coral Sedum, which is also a favorite.

I agree that Supertunias are amazing!! I’ve been growing Supertunias for about 4 years now, but last year was the first time I bought the Supertunia Bordeaux… and it delivered and impressed! I’ve already bought some for this season. I too am in Ohio, (originally from Alabama) so trying to ever so patiently wait to plant my flowers.
My favorite is Supertunia Vista Bubblegum. I put it in my yard and clients. Thanks for sharing.

Haha.....I have been doing the same to save my beautiful annuals. I even bought a potable greenhouse to put on the front porch, which is south facing, to winterize all my tender plants, which it's been working.

I'm 5b/6a and year's ago wave petunias were good ..don't know what happened to them but I gave up on them. This year I grew supertunia paccaso preformed so well. 🤗 next year I'm going to try bordeux. Thank you for sharing looking forward to more gardening with you.
A suggestion, when you talked about the superpunia and showed when you planted in the spring, as you were talking and saying it looked amazing as the season went on....you should have edited a fade into the later season look at the plant. BTW, I agree...next season I will ONLY be buying Proven Winners plants!

My supertunias came back🤗 I live in Tx zone 9a. We actually got a winter this year low temps of 12 degrees. I was so surprised 😲 they came back 🥰🌸🌺. I didn’t protect the at all from the freezing temps.

Omgosh they're so beautiful. They are a bit pricy tho. I have Supertunia Limencello and Honey that I'm over winterizing rn..hope they come back. I planted a drift of them in 2020. I'm looking for their seeds.
Do you find that plants ordered online (from Proven Winners, specifically) arrive in good shape?
Ever thought about overwintering Supertunias indoors or in a greenhouse?
Did you move from Alabama? Why to Ohio? You are about a 7 hour drive from me (Ontario). I have visited Ohio once on the way through to Indiana- nothing but Farms from what I can remember lol
