I work at a family owned nursery here in Arizona, and its nice seeing the difference between your summer/winter annuals vs mine here in Arizona. The supertunia/petunias are a fall/winter annual for us, since they cant handle Arizona's heat & the superbells, we call them million bells, theyre so beautiful!! We always have different colors of those in hanging baskets, they do good in both summer & fall only in the shade. Hope you guys have a good summer!
Last year I planted many of the shrubs, perennials, and annuals that Laura has recommended over the years and every one of them thrived, bloomed, and blossomed in my Zone 5 landscape. They were definitely Proven Winners.
I found a local nursery in my area that has been around for ages and I had never even heard of it. They carry Proven Winners!! Found them by going to Proven Winners site. My husband and I went yesterday and WOW how have I missed this place??? 5 acres and well designed to find what you are looking for. Staff that is well versed. I know where all my $$ will be going this year. But thanks to you I found this place! Shout out to Martin's Nursery in Greenville SC!!
I was able to order 2 varieties of proven winners from my local nursery just by asking! And not paying expensive shipping fees online. Thanks for suggesting!
Hey Laura, My husband and I just got back from a wonderful vacation in Houston and we went to a rare Van Gogh exhibit, and I read that Mr.Gogh loved the color yellow, thatâs why you will see that color in a lot of his paintings đ»đđ»
This makes me smile! =D Laura, you are positively giddy with excitement; I love your enthusiasm! Such a wonderful time of year! I saw a male cardinal courting his love by feeding her a seed yesterday... spring is in the air! Yay!

Beautiful flowers!! Your enthusiasm is soooooo contagious!!! Could you PLEASE do something along the lines of a pollinator/butterfly/hummingbird garden??? I really want to start one but have no idea how to go about it!
I work for the flower vendor to walmart on the east coast...mid-Atlantic...an Thanks to you, I can answer any question people throw at me, like the fact that lemon slice likes to be a little dry, while some others don't, you're always full of info........Thanks again for that.!
Iâm obsessed with your channel, I think Iâve binged over 6 hours of your videos in the last 3 days! Now with my new home with a bunch of garden beds I am so inspired thanks to you â€ïžđ±
In the old times when dying eggs was difficult, we picked daisies and cut their stems. Then we used a stocking(women's tights) and wrapped it round the egg with the daisy head inside and tied the stocking and dipped it in red die.
Unfortunately many garden centers here don't carry PW annuals because of their price point. They are quality plants and PW has great selections and I love them. I tend to purchase PW shrubs and perennials since they are more budget friendly and more readily available.
So glad I found your channel. I have purchased PW petunias and superbells and I love them. I started container gardening in 2016. I've planted several containers just today. I also love the calibrachoas. Thanks for all your tips and ideas. My flowers always make me happy :)
I just bought some proven winners super bells today in three different varieties from my local store! Got them planted this evening a little while before it started raining. I hope they grow well. But if not, I'll take your advise and pop them out and move them! Thanks for all you share! I'm learning so much more about flowers âŁ
Helps so much to know the habit and see the pictures of the annuals in the ground. We only have a few of these in garden centers right now but they will appear soon, and nice to be ready.
I have done exactly what you talked about! I support my local greenhouse & I also order from Proven Winners!!! When my order comes or I bring plants home from my local greenhouse it is like Christmas!!!! Gardening for me is therapy, I can go outside in my gardens & just plant, maintain & forget the negative which quickly turns positive!!!!
Oh jeez...I just decided that I would limit my spending on annuals this year and put that money into perennials but now...Iâm changing my mind! Love all the colors youâve chosen-I prefer them too. I had no idea that the alyssum would grow that big. I planted one in each container but they got choked out my my supertunia vista bubblegum! Doh! Not a good combo and now I know!! However I have a new huge bed thatâs going to need some filler plants (Iâve got 2 Invincibelle Mini Mauvette and 3 Czechmark Trilogy Weigela being shipped end of the month đ and I have you to thank for the recommendation đ€đ) I look forward to seeing where you plant these cuties!
Great video. I have such a hard time finding much of anything Proven Winners here in the South. Same with Espoma. BUT...I am overjoyed that we do have some "pop up" types of plant centers that set up from Spring through Fall every year because guess what? I am now in possession of 16--SIXTEEN! Supertunia Bordeaux! I cannot wait to get them all put out and see how they will do for me in the area I will plant them. If they do half as good as the ones you grew last year I will be pleased!
I have found the Holly Tone and Plant Tone at Home Depot indoors around the indoor plants, they are in small bags.... in Montgomery AL and I also found a few Proven Winners plants at Walmart, also in Montgomery...
I just love all those plants that you use in your garden. I have to get some of those. Everytime I watch your videos, I have to go to my garden center to get some of those plants. I canât believe your supertunias grew so big. Your garden always looks so beautiful! I have some Hawaiian Ginger plant in a big container and the fliers are beautiful. When I have some that multiply, I will send you some if you like.
I love Alyssum, I tried it from seed last year and it did not disappoint. It has an ethereal quality and smells heavenly, It was my "new" favorite last year! Happy gardening Laura.
Hi Laura! Such beautiful flowers! I love supertunias, superbells and alyssum. PW always have very nice plants. Thank you for explaining the differences in alyssum. My favorite flower color is purple, too. Thank you for sharing!
I SO needed this! I LOVEEE flowers and gardening, it is my therapy for life....my mom has cancer, the winter months themselves are always tough but the past 9 months have been extremely tough as I have been taking care of mom who is under the care of hospice and now at the end stage. Your videos have helped to lift my spirits as I walk out this path of life....nothing says life like flowers and they truly make me so happy. My love of flowers came from my mom, she loves planting each yr and taught me alot over the yrs. I came across your videos a few yrs ago and just love them, you too have taught me so much about gardening and flowers! Thanks for your dedication and God Bless you for all you do my friend!
I have such a hard time finding all the Proven Winners brand plants I see everyone using. Just little bits here and there-I wish they shipped to Canada
So this morning I was at my garden centre and I asked if they had Allysum. But I accidentally said âwhere can I find asylumâ đ€ŠđŒââïžđ€ŠđŒââïž
I live in Canada and it's snowing today. I love watching your videos, and I am just fiiiiillledddd with envy. Thanks for lifting my spirits on a really cold, snowy day!
I LOVE visiting garden stores in the spring! I've had great success with lemon slice (paired with lemoncello and white) and bordeaux. I think I'll try White Knight this year.
I just love your enthusiasm with gardening. The flowers you chose were beautiful. I too get excited every Spring when the stores start stocking their shelves. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I do set a budget for the year but find myself spending more than I had anticipated. What's a girl to do, it's so hard! đ Happy Spring and happy gardening.
when you mentioned the annuals can fill in empty spaces until the perennials grow larger another advantage is that they'll fill the space and stop/smother any weeds that try to grow.
Weâre great fans. My sister from Chicago first introduced you to me. And I live in Canada, then my sister in California and now my sisters in the Philippines. Weâve become fans. Just great to learn and see your garden. Theyâre so beautiful.
I have used several of those flowers. Thank you for the wonderful ideas. Now, if the weather would just shape up. Here in western Iowa we had a few days in the 70's, then it was some snow again, which melted, then high winds and rain. It has settled down today. Looks good for Easter weekend. Hope springs eternal.
I enjoy your videos so much even though I live in the uk- the plants are usually available here as well although planting times can be a little different. I just love your enthusiasm and you give me lots of ideas many thanks đ
Oh my!đđŠđ”đŒ Look at all that gorgeous color. Time to get busy. Thank you so much for showing how they look when you get them. Can not wait to see were you put them.đđžđșđŒđč
My local Lowe's just started carrying several varieties of Superbells and my county's greenhouse is carrying some PW supertunias so I can't wait to check them out when they're mature!
The lemoncello has been on my list since last Spring! Definitely excited about planting it this year. The color is perfect with my palette of blues, pinks and purples. Thank you for such inspirational videos....I look forward to your posts and learn so much from every one!! đ·đŒđž
Thanks for talking about the differences between the dark/white knight alyssum verses the old variety. It would tick me off that they would sell that in the 3 inch pots as I thought they were just trying to sell it for more money than the 4 pack cells. I didn't realize it was a different variety. I'll try it this year. Thanks. đ
Awesome spring plant haul, Laura!! I live on the other side of the mountains from you in Oregon, Mid-Willamette Valley, and there are so many "local" nurseries all over this valley that there is never a shortage of variety, brand, or choices. It's incredible! I am very lucky. The rain this season is the only thing keeping me from accomplishing all the projects I have waiting. It just won't let up! Oh well, at least we're not having drought. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and life with the world. You're a friend to many through this channel and we love you!!
Laura your amazing with all your idea's and the beautiful proven winnters plants. I'm having trouble with the wait process as our weather is still in winter but soon will be spring and I'm heading to Mt. Vernon to the nearest garden center to see if they have the Flower Pillows as then I can plant my hanging baskets. Also want to plant the new Calendula, and Globemaster Allum. Thanks for sharing your Video's
Gorgeous plants. I wish more centers carried PW in my town. We only have 1 big box store that carries them. And the care after they arrive at the store sometimes makes them less than desirable looking. Tfs. đđđ
Found your channel yesterday love your enthusiasm...... Can't wait to do some containers and the edge of the house. We just moved and I love to garden. Passed this site on kiss the baby and say hi to your mom......Love kathy
I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET MY HANDS ON SOME DENIM & LACE!!! Ive been wanting some ever since seeing your rpund garden area where you have them and the boxwoods. I was only able to afford to buy a couple of them though as they were $10 a piece and I only have about $50 left in my budget after buying things for my vegetable garden and buying a couple container planter this year, But I am so excited! I hope they have them again next year So that I can put them in a circle around a fountain like you did!
Oh Wow Laura, thank you so much for sharing, I love proven winners and I have noticed that one of my local nurseries carries them, so excited to start planting my pots and flower beds, I love purple and there are so many gorgeous plants that are different shades of purple. I love pairing purples with yellows and peaches. I am so inspired to get started on planting now that the weather is shaping up.
Thank you very much for explaining the differences and uses between the superbells and supertunias. I look forward in better production with the superbells in my hanging baskets this year! And NO. It is not easy pulling back from planting beautiful and colorful flowers! Your videos make me want to plant up everywhere! Thanks again!
Such a great plant haul! We are getting a little closer to the garden centers getting annuals, but Iâm very ready for them now. Thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers with us!
I just love your videos and your property. its so grand and always something to do. I loved it at Christmas time. So many lights out side and the inside decorated. It makes me want to do more in my back yard. I just took out all my grass in the front and did like a dry river bed/dessert look. Used people's and river rocks, sand stone. Used drought tolerate pretty plants. Can't wait for them to mature and fill out. I dug it all out by hand, about 52 hrs of digging. was on a budget so couldn't afford to rent the machine that takes up did. Love the end results. PS I miss you cat in the videos. It's so heart breaking when we loose one of our beloved 4 legged babies
Spent yesterday at the garden center, watched your videos all winter and could hardly wait for spring to fill the mile long list. I've become a big believer in Proven Winners. The flowers you received last night were almost exactly the same colors and varieties I picked out, maybe not in those amounts. I will add to my savings for next season, a few hundred $ extra sounds like a lot more fun. Not interested in shoes, clothes, or traveling, but love gardening.
I love love love your videos. I have learned so much from you. I live in Oklahoma and have started potting my containers. I stayed away from the plant stores as long as I could.
I had to leave the Picasso in Pinks alone at the nursery because I could not find a good pairing for it. The edges are a avocado or lime green rather than yellow or gold. I will be getting the Bright Lights Double Moonglow African Daisy. Just don't do to many annuals.
Simply beautiful! I love them all! I'm going to planting a lot of proven winners I think this comes from watching your videos and going on line to look at them all thank you Laura!
Ohhhh my goodness, my coffee with Laura time this morning was so fun! I actually went to a garden center yesterday with a co-worker and we picked up some herbs, annuals, grass, hosta's and some veggies and I am so excited to get things going in our gardens!! Thank you for some wonderful suggestions on flowers and I will be off soon to see what I can find. We also are ordering some seeds from the Snake River company. Can't wait to get started!
I noticed that my local Loweâs started carrying PW, I snagged supertunia Bordeaux and Picasso in Purple so fast lol. One year I seen Limelight Hydrangea but I didnât get to buy it but Iâm hunting this one down hopefully they carry it this year.
What beautiful flowers! Funny how different zones use different bedding flowers. I live in Louisiana and we use Alyssium for a winter bedding plant here since we have such mild winters here, lol.
I ordered four flower pillows from them and theyâre getting ready to ship them out to me!! I canât wait. Iâd ordered them since Jan. Zone 10b here đđœââïž
Debbie Frederick I ordered Candy Store, Summerfest, Botanical Bouquet and Joy flower pillows. All different to see which one I like the best and next year Iâll order all the alike to have symmetry!
@@StudioErza929 I ordered the Beach Sunset pillow... The original one I wanted was out of stock... will try again next year to order it. My daughter picked out the Beach sunset, she is looking forward to it's arrival... Uri, let me know how your plants look... Thanks..
You are so awesome down to earth and full of lots of info for us beginning gardeners. Proven winners hit the jackpot with you! đ

I found Martins from the PW website too. Love that their staff is so well trained and knowledgeable.
I don't drive. So Proven winners online ordering helped me a great deal this year.

Gorgeous flowers. Do you have a video with gift ideas for the gardener in your life? đ Iâm already thinking of Motherâs Day gifts.
Beautiful colors and plants. Can hardly wait to see where you put them....good luck (although I know you both do not need it like me)!
Iâm so ready to plant some stuff! My proven winners haul wonât be here until the end of April, but I have been buying locally as well! đŹ
Beautiful colors
I love love love your videos. I have learned so much from you. I live in Oklahoma and have started potting my containers. I stayed away from the plant stores as long as I could.
Omg Laura thank you I lived in florida I can enjoy my garden all year. You are a great inspiration đđâșâșđŒđŒ
YESSSSSSSS PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite color. That fence is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!!
Those colours say Easter all the way! Beautiful colours and plant choices. Variety is great đđ
I canât wait until you start planting up containers! I love to copy your combinations!
And the hayracks on the front fence.
Jake Jones yes!!! Iâm actually putting some on my board fence this year since she inspired me last year!!!
I love the super tuna s flowers. I love purple
I really love alyssum because of there bunches of flowers and how small they areâ€ïž
I LOVEEE how much information you share in every video!! đđđđ
I ordered four flower pillows from them and theyâre getting ready to ship them out to me!! I canât wait. Iâd ordered them since Jan. Zone 10b here đđœââïž
I ordered a flower pillow too! In zone 8. Can't wait for it to arrive maybe this week or next. Which ones did you order?
Debbie Frederick I ordered Candy Store, Summerfest, Botanical Bouquet and Joy flower pillows. All different to see which one I like the best and next year Iâll order all the alike to have symmetry!
@@StudioErza929 I ordered the Beach Sunset pillow... The original one I wanted was out of stock... will try again next year to order it.
My daughter picked out the Beach sunset, she is looking forward to it's arrival...
