I uncovered my trachys last Saturday, March 2nd. I’m in central New Jersey, zone 6B. They look great! No damage. I used wall insulation for the trunks and burlap for the fronds. This past winter we had no single digit temperatures at night and other than a few cold nights in the lower 20s, that was about it. I checked the 10-day forecast and it looks mild with temps in the upper 40s and low 50s. Overnight lows in the low 40s. I never uncovered my palms this early before. I guess there is something to be said about global warming.

Massive spear pull in my queen after unwrapping it😫😫 but my washy is hanging in there. Your palms look great as always!
Have fun in Miami/Caribbean
Thanks
Can’t wait for summer
Hi James
What fertilizer do you use for the Mexican fan palm? Also would you apply once you open the box for good in April?
