Brave enough to perform in front of his family? Uh..I don't think so. Dad (2.0), never looked up or made eye contact, his job was just to park the car, didn't even warn his SON eyeballs, third line baseball coach,hand & arm signals.secretly, man code "Your Mother doesn't like the hotel room, the ice machine is too far from the elevators & apparently I am trying to put her or in a "home", or murder her if I go outside & sneak a McDonalds cheeseburger. 🥺
Tells you he's got a good relationship with them. That's nice.
Imagine the fear of wondering if you were going to say something that made mom give you THE LOOK😡 that makes your heart stop as you try to perform. 👀😳.

One of the funniest bits I’ve ever heard in my life was a black preacher describing his mother’s method of discipline. “Black women rap when they beat you. ‘I. Tol’. You. Not. To. Do it. But you did it anyway, …you were bad, bad, bad.’” Lol, “somehow” this preacher ended up a really, really sharp guy!
@@Rosie_C I "was white", on Friday, Monday morning I got "called in" the Principals Office, for "wearing BLACKFACE", two black eyes (RACOONED)?😓, Child Protective Services, I explained I "fell down the stairs".. Wednesday "I had been to the Dentist" FRIDAY..well, we had a SUBSTITUTE Teacher, apparently ours got food poisoning. Hmmm, ?🤔🤫🤫🤫🤫

I laughed so hard, my dogs looked at me as if I were someone different...have not laughed so hard in about 2 years when he did the demon voice, I busted out laughing because I related.
I'm not saying he stole that joke, but Sinbad had that same story - probably same life experience. As they say "nothing new under the sun".

This was AWESOME!!! My Dad would have enjoyed thus tremendously for he too was a United States Marine! ❤ My Dad was the ONLY human being on this Earth that I never once got salty with or raised my voice to. He could shut me down with hust a quick glance at me looking over the top of his glasses frame until the day he passed away 5 years ago. The "stare" or "look" is a real thing. Anyone related to a Marine knows exactly what I'm talking about. Dad was my Hero. The only one I ever had and I miss him every day. Mom used to get aggravated and say, "You're just like your Dad!" Dad would look at her and grin and I'd reply every, "That's not really a secret Mom. 🤨" Thank you so much Jordan! ❤

My mom was a US Marine. I approve of this message. Except, if you are the daughter of a US Marine, you are expected to be tough: What are you, some kind of p***y? No one cares if you’re in pain! Get up! Don’t “my period” me! I don’t care if you’re 13! NO ONE CARES. Get up. Good. Have a good day at school.
I can relate. My mom wasn't in the military but she was a nurse. If you aren't actively and aggressively bleeding from an open wound, have no newly broken bones or a head injury then you're going to school. She used to make me proud and frustrated all at the same time!!
I'm sorry. That would shock me to hear. 😳 Interpersonal relationships are different than being on duty! Empathy from authority figures actually increases grit--in healthy ways! If my kid was under the weather or even just needed a mental health day, we'd assess: what will you miss? Will your absence today solve a problem or create one? Only you know what's happening in your body, so you're going to need to decide. And whatever they decided, I backed. They learned to weigh consequences and use their own best judgment, and I was able to guide them in obtaining those skills because they knew I was on their side. :-)

@@grumpyoldguy584 a little from my dad's stories and I spent a month with several of them on the USS Okinawa in 1985 helping them fix a tough problem on their CH53Es and a few more months at MCAS Tustin.
@@grumpyoldguy584 all righty then. I'm pretty sure I wasn't tough enough to be a Marine but I'm thankful I had the opportunity to work with some and that there are some. I was in the Air Force for ten years fixing airplanes and worked with the Navy and Army for thirty years helping them fix their helicopters.

I usually listen to youtube comedy in the background as I play Solitaire.... You, Sir, made me quit the game (after I won, woowhoo!) and watch. Not many comedians catch my attention so hard. Bravo! Semper Fi from another flea. I am the only wimp in my Marine Corps family. Momma was a Parris Island DI who met Dad a Korean War vet when they were using their GI bill for college. My brother was in the Corps and took Dad to see his grandson graduate bootcamp. We were raised on duty and honor. When Momma said we were having a field day we knew she meant business. Miss them all.
This is the second clip I've seen of him. Absolutely hilarious!!!! I can't wait to see more.

Lol, my mom was a Marine too. So… that’s why I joined the Air Force. But she was a crazy person when I was a kid/teen. Now she’s the most chill person ever.

I was in high school in the early 1980s My high school French teacher talked sometimes about growing up in a old farm house in Ohio. It was a big house, multiple generations under one roof. It had big old-fashioned eat-n country kitchen. His paternal grandfather who was born in Germany, had old country, 19th century ideas about raising children.. He said the one time he ever talked back to the man, his Opa had told him to do something, my teacher answered back with a snotty “Why?”. The next thing he knew his was picking himself up of the floor on the other side of the of the kitchen. 😉
