  • I've been fixing up the Civic for the winter, just getting little bits done, here and there. I upgraded my headlights and window wipers and also fixed the hot air blower resistor.
I went for slight upgrades over oem parts for the lights and wipers.
    For my car, I needed 1 x 18" Window Wiper and 1 x 20" Window Wiper.
    Bosch Aerotwin Wipers - amzn.to/3c8gwL4
    I needed H4 Headlight bulbs.
Philips White Vision Bulbs - amzn.to/3oeHl2H
Your vehicle may be different so check before buying anything.

    Great video as always.
Just one thing, first headlight bulb u replaced, u haven't sat it in the holder cerrectly. Top locacating tab is NOT in it's hole, you've missed it. You may get alignment issues.
    Keep up the great content.
    Stay safe. Stay healthy.

Don’t worry, it’s in properly, it was hard to get a camera angle to show it, whilst doing it, that was the best I could get on film.

Nice vid. Any tips on sorting boot water leak?

dry the boot out, then lay paper out inside the boot area. Wash the car/spray down with water, then open boot and see where the paper is wet. It could be a seal is leaking somewhere. Or there might be a hole in the floor pan under the spare wheel, in which case you wont see any water in the boot until you drive in the rain.

The head light covers are rare

Yea, I see one set on eBay for £200! Lol. If they actually sell for that I’d be tempted to say goodbye.

Always a good watch. Did you do a full cross-hatch sanding and compound on the lamps or just a polishing buff?
Also, you're right about the hen's teeth on the protectors (couldn't find clips available separately) for the Civic. I occasionally see them for the Corsa/Combo but also pricier than just replacing them for good used lights. I got a pair of protectors, with a crack in one, for sensible money.

Just a clean with soap and water, bit of scratch remover polish, that’s all mate. They were just really dirty lol.
Luckily the covers are secure with just one bottom clip.

@@RustLocker My Combo had similarly nasty yellow and cloudy lenses. The soap + water was the biggest impact, then I tried 3 manual goes with Formula 1 restorer which was an improvement but not huge. DA buffer with compound better still, though not up-close sparkling. Easily good enough for MOT and not letting the looks down - CBA with cross-hatched 3x grades of wet sanding.
