Searching for rare Honda parts in the Junkyard!

- In todays video we go on an excursion through 4 different junkyards searching for hidden treasures and rare Honda parts for my 2000 Honda Civic EX Coupe. We ended up finding quite a few goodies!

Our local backwood yard has acres upon acres of cars that never get crushed. However their pricing is outrageous at like 4X the cost of the Pick and Pull which has rotating inventory every 45 days or so.
Complete opposite for me. The big yards charge outrageous prices and the local ones are cheap and you can barter with them.
I went to buy a cylinder head off a civic that had 200k+ miles and they wanted over $400 for it. They were pricing out valves, rockers, camshafts, etc. I didn’t even let the guy finish pricing before I said keep it I’m not paying that.
Here you can get whole ass engines that run perfect for like 800$

You left the sun roof visor on the civic. That’s a gem. You left goods for resell.
Front mud guards on the crv are gems too. Fog lights on the crv.
You should go back for the 240sx headlight buckets+motor, worth like $300 lol for both sides
That first gen crv steering wheel is also a good option to replace a worn out EK. There’s videos on youtube how to do it

Tough to see that both Nissan 300zx's z31 and z32 just sitting there, rotting away, I own a 300zx z32 and yea, just sad to see them there.

Unfortunately I do not have a playlist or anything like that. I get most of my music from a channel on CZcams called NoCopyrightMusic. I really loved the 80s vibed stuff!

I'll never understand why these junkyards stack cars on top of one another, like if they are that bad that you just pile em everywhere, just crush em. Not like you can get anything out of them at that point. such a waste.
Super old junkyard, they probably just can't keep up.
Z31's just inherited the rust problems that all the older Z's had on top of being considered "premium" vehicles when they were new meaning Nissan USA never offered a true base model such as the Canadian market only 300zx SF. US only got GL and GLL, power everything, so when the motors and servos die the car can become near undriveable depending on the climate. The grey one in ur video is an 86 GL...kouki fenders with zenki bumpers and lights, chrome trim around the glass, 71c manual and R200 open diff.
Honda people don't like them for the same reasons that they didn't like S13's 20 years ago (slow AF) and Nissan people don't like them cuz they usually want something with aftermarket support, something Z31's have never been known for lol
junkyards are getting out of control for their pricing in my area,i have a sr20det big turbo kit thats been blowing out spark so i created a harness that allows me to use audi/vw coil packs and just for 4 used coil packs they wanted $85,they cost more then brand new aftermarket ones and even found used oem cheaper on ebay. this price goes for all the coil packs at this yard so its not like they were anything special.
this is in phoenix az and its a big main junkyard
Locally owned junkyards are way better than the big corporate ones.

The trans and all awd components are money out that crv
I typically don't pull large stuff to sell. Not to mention, that CR-V was on the ground and it would be a major pain to pull.
