    Thanks for the video. This is absolutely worth doing, makes a massive difference. I found a very short 12mm spanner like you would get from flat packed furniture to be perfect. I definately found turning the rod the hardest part with my fat fingers. I adjusted mine to about level, and found I needed to put a plastic cap over the cruise control switch to make it line up perfect, no gap. Thanks for the great video, its really transformed gear changes

    Hey mate,
    Just wanted to say thanks for an awesome vid. I just finished adjusting mine and I can’t believe how a simple adjustment can make all the difference. I’m still running everything stock and can’t wait to see what it’s like once I’ve done the same upgrades that you have done.

      It's a good upgrade. Clutch spring, shifter springs, whiteline positive shift kit and rear shifter bushing totally transform the car.

    My clutch and gas pedal are a little hard, how can I make them softer?

    Does this mod work if I have the mtec clutch spring installed? Or do I have to remove the spring before doing this mod?

      sorry for the late reply - I did mine after the MTEC clutch spring was installed so works fine with it.

    hi there, my pedal seems to be rubber instead of metal like yours and everyone else's, is this the gts model?

    Do you turn the rod clockwise or couter clockwise to drop the clutch?

    • @JamieKehoevids
      @JamieKehoevids Před rokem

      This is my question, I’m actually spending too long trying to figure out which way it’s supposed to be turned. He says turn the shaft ‘in’?? Does that mean turning it clockwise?

    Does it mean I’m not fully disengaging my clutch now?

    • @numbnutsAU
      @numbnutsAU  Před 3 lety

      no, not unless you have adjusted it too much. after the adjustment you should be able to feel the bite point of the clutch and if it is not disengaged completely

    so whats the potential damages I could do while attempting this? knowing me i'll probs fuck it up. I've watched this several times already

    • @numbnutsAU
      @numbnutsAU  Před 2 lety

      not much really. on a scale of 1 - 10 with 10 being the hardest, most risky job, I'd rate this a solid 2.

      @@numbnutsAU literally just did it, I haven't touched cruise control, it looked alright, but the clutch and brakes pretty leveled atm gonna go get petrol and see how I go lol
      the 12mm was a bitch and I had to pull vid again to make sure I wasn't turning it the wrong way, the plastic bumper stop I pulled out so I could fit the wrench in there, props to you getting the camera in there cause my head was against the clutch the whole time, and I didn't bring everything so had to get in and out a few times 🤣
      the cruise control bit looked alright so I didn't touch it, still works and feels much better, I've only been driving the manual for 3 full month's but I've always complained bout how high the clutch but wasn't very comfortable doing this, so pretty happy to have it done tonight

    I couldn't turn the push rod. From my experience the rod should have a built in nut for a wrench to hold on to. I wanted to use a piler but i figure i might nick the rod and mess up the master cylinder. So i guess i have to live with the default height.

      Don't forget to push the clutch down when you turn it.
