There's no guarantee that any other manager would've done better in the short term. It was painful at times, but where we are now I wouldn't swap Arteta for any of the managers he mentioned. He just can't accept that some of the things he's said in the past have turned out to be wrong.

@@choo6988 to be fair I respect your opinion but let's take a look at this, in the mid to late 2000s the top four in England was a monopoly. Man Utd, chelsea, liverpool, arsenal. The other teams rarely broke that mould. Everton for example finished 4th in 2005, and they did challenge in 2008 but other than that they were rarely in the top 4 race conversation. Aston villa were a good top 6 team but only really threatened to break in once. Bolton were decent under Big Sam but they also had a few rubbish seasons after that. And Spurs were capable of going from top 6 to mid table. Wenger did a very good job but it's not like other teams were hot on their heels every single season
