Lee is right about Brighton, they exist to make money, it's a business, not a football club. they invest the bare minimum and get the maximum ut of that minimum, but that business model is unsustainable
When Arsenal needed money to pay off the stadium, we were forced to sell our best players to Man City. It's about making sacrifices to build a future. Brighton are a much smaller club on a commercial level so they need to adopt the model of clever scouting and selling on players for lucrative values. Of course their organisation wants to win trophies like any other team, but survival and financial stability go hand in hand. Look what happened to Newcastle, before they were bought out. Look at Leeds, Norwich City, Sunderland etc. To compete against the top 8 teams, Brighton have to secure as much money as they can to eventually grow as a club worldwide, expand their stadium which in turn increases matchday revenue, which is about 60-70% of any team's income. Their model will change depending on the phase of their plan and other factors such as potential new ownership, new revenue streams etc, but they're a shrewdly managed club and we should be applaud them. Eventually they will be able to compete with top teams, but it's just a much longer process for them. Every club has its eras. People may only see Brighton as a mid-table team, but I see them as a potential threat in years to come. Never sleep on financial success

@@kayjart5766 It's simple really. Arsenal with a better manager and better team did not win the league for 10 years. This manager is worse with a worse team and has bottled the league and top 4. Couple that with a transfer market that doesn't scream like a team that wants to win the CL or league tells me all I need to know.
