youre too addicted itll never happen
Fans to sign players too?
â@@yasssighs6034at some clubs they do, so silly comment from you đ
If fans dont then i guess fans should stop going to games and buy viewership then. How about that simon?
True, but you'll keep watching because football fans are chumps. There is so little solidarity within fans, they actually have very little power because of it.
Tell that to the super league hahahaâ@@MiguelonZE
â@user-kg4cr1jq8o You're deluded if you actually believe that the fans stopped that lol. It was because of the implications of the financial & legal penalties. They framed it that way so the fans felt like they'd been heard........despite being ignored while the project was conceived.
You only listen to Fans when it aligns with your own narrative, otherwise you literally mock them.

VAR is shite
96% right? Are PGMOL marking their own homework?
Football is nothing without fans
Sir Matt busby
Simon has the biggest mouth in Britain. For Failed chairman he sure has a view on everything and anything. If he knew as much as he thinks he does then he wouldnât have failed as a chairman.
Wasnât it the financial crisis that hit him ? Itâs just too simpleton what youâre saying.
@@adammohamed.. heâs a loud mouthed individual thinks he knows knows everything. He should be a bit more humble in his views. Pompous arrogant rich boy. And he owned a football club he failed simpleton right enough.
Most people are here because of him
â@@adammohamed.. oh yeah the crisis only affected crystal palace didn't it
name me someone who hasn't failed and I'll tell you there's someone that never tried anything.
Jim has his own rendition of the word football.
We buy the tickets, the merch, the tv subscriptions - we get a say. Literally every company that sells a product wants to hear feedback from customers about how to improve the product. I wouldve thought business mogul Simon Jordan wiuld understand that basic concept.
He just said fans donât have a ârightâ which is true.
If youâre a consumer youâre already getting the product you knowingly paid for.
And as a fan, failed owners dont get to have an opinion on anything related to the sport in which they failed in..
Simon is 100% correct. Fans get a vote, but they vote with their pounds. If they don't like it, stop paying for it -- and the people who chase those pounds will listen. Anything short of that is just emotional outbursts by people trying to use a power they simply don't have.
Why canât we have a say on var because it affects all fans there to
No one in this video said we canât have a say on VAR.
Where is martin o'neil getting these var stats from when footballs subjective, how can you say they get 96% correct?
If VAR was scrapped, after the first clanger was made, people would say bring back VAR! !!!!!
The fans are also stakeholders of the game and are quite right to have an input on all decisions that centre around the governance of the game.
Simon is hilarious. The fans pay the money so they do indeed have a say
Let the wallet talk then
96% only according to PGMoL and the Prem. Until that stat is verified by a 3rd party itâs utterly worthless
They keep saying there more correct decisions,
But really who cares if a toe is offside
VAR is like going to a fish and chip shop and finding out your fish is actually battered tofu. The chips are the same, the batter is the same but the main ingredient, the fish is gone. Sorry, they have changed the product before my eye and are still expecting me to pay for it. I am the customer for gods sake, I want my product back. If I wanted to watch a video game I would have brought a PS5.
Fans do have a right to have their say about anything football related however supporters groups shouldn't feel entitled to be consulted about decisions made behind the scenes. They don't have the right to demand to be informed about what happens with VAR.
Let's do an eye test on Sunday. Of all the goals scored, how many are not celebrated by players for fear that VAR is going to chalk off the goal?
Where did he get the stat about correct decisions? Who decided which were correct?
And Pundits do? If fans shouldn't have a say then just retire the damn game which means Simon Jordan's job is over!
Perhaps we should just listen to Simon Jordon and ignore everyone else then. Heâs a former club chairman and his comments illustrate how supporters are viewed by those who are in a position of power in the game. Without the fans football is nothing so they tell us. Often their actions contradict that.
I'm with Simon on this one, of course you must consider the fans on every decision, they are the heart and soul of the game in the end. But... I don't think fans should have a call on this decisions, or any other decision for the club, that's why they have managers and people capable of taking those decisions for the better of the club. If fans have a call no team will be able to manage itself if they need to hear every single fan before making a move.
But this isn;t a manger's call either. This is directly affecting the enjoyment of the game for fans of all teams.
Exactly this. Fans donât have a right anyway because theyâre simply consumers of a product who choose to keep finding the sport by choice.
It would be hugely impractical anyway. No one who says fans have a right ever explain how it would actually work and how fans would be represented.
If you take out the decisions for offside, there cannot be a 14% swing. Var simply doesn't correctly overturn an average of 14% of all decisions per game. You must also take into consideration the amount of responsibility they must take for incorrect decisions they don't overturn because they are not deemed "clear and obvious". Therefore the technology for automated offsides solves the problem. No more waiting around for fans for a system that outside of offsides impacts the decision making in a game a tiny amount and a lot of the time poorly.
Right! Because they deem at times that the on field is in a good position to see the incident so it isnât a âclear and obvious â so we just stick with the on field.
Or the â if it was given it wouldnât be overturned, and if it wasnât VAR wonât step inâ hate that. It either is or it isnât
If fans were strong enough to give up their season tickets and stop paying for sky that would be having a say. I have only been to maybe three live matches since 2003. Those games were only when a relative couldnât use their season ticket. Otherwise I wouldnât go. I grew tired of the hate chanting against Liverpool people that passes for banter and the way in which football is moving.
Careful what you wish for!!
How will taking VAR improve overall decisions ? look at the UCL Semi Final between RM va BM, that will happen every week.
Don't be ridiculous.
What did Eddie Hearn call Jordan, a disc jockey.
Answer to OFFSIDE RULE....... THE ATTACKERS BOTH FEET HAVE TO BE OFFSIDE ,BOTH FEET. , NOT 1 FOOT OR A SWINGING ARM, ....... THEYS NO ADVANTAGE, GOING NOWHERE WITHOUT YOUR FEET.......... ARMS HANDS ARE NOT ALLOWED BUT ALLOWED TO BE OFFSIDE IF SWINGING IF LEANING IN,,, A HEAD CAN BE IN A OFFSIDE POSTION.... WTF...
How about a still image, no lines no zoom, just still image and make a call. Are they off or on.
Offside is fine as it is. Semi automated will or should completely irradicate the wait time after a goals scored.. what needs to be fixed is the handball inconsistencies and the inconsistent decisions as to what's a foul, dissent, time wasting etc.. all of which would be easily resolved if you sit and think for 30 seconds
@@CJ4YRD or the looking for a foul in build up. I donât think we should be zooming down to the mm for offsides because of shutter speed, frame rates, speed of play and what not.
@@eiler1987 I don't have an issue with looking for a foul in the build up. So long as its within 15 seconds of a goal. Any longer than that its a different phase of play imo. In football 15 seconds is a long time đ€Ł an as ive stated the semi automated offside will basically irradicate that as it will be automatically done as its happening..
The game at this level only exists due to the fans. Therefore, the fans are the backbone of the league and the game in general, the majority of the money in the game is pumped into the game by the fan.
Fans should be allowed to have a say one way or another.
VAR is a great idea, but its not being used for what it was introduced for.
Get the ref and var mic'ed up and let the crowd hear it. I also think ex players are better placed to run VAR alongside an official.
Itâs ridiculous to think fans have a right to though. They already have their biggest way to have their say which would be to simply voting with their wallets. After all fans are simply consumer of the product.
Well said Simon .
Fans should be heard but I wouldnt take Mike from the pub into a board room to make decisions. Even football managers need a director of football, a specialist in that area. Most football fans are just tribal heathens begging their team to provide them a sense of meaning. That isnt someone that should be in a board room or a coaching session.
Spot on mate , people working their regular jobs be telling people in football whoâve done this their whole life and are the 0.01% of the people to make it in the game what and how to do in absolute ways , opinions should be allowed and listened for sure and the game belongs to fans but critical and decisive insights and decisions should be made by calm and professional people
What would Simon say if everyone stopped buying tickets?
Where are all these fans demanding anything other than our opinion be heard? None of us are demanding that fans sit of every board at every level. This is such a boring point that Simon trots out every time a conversation about fans opinion comes up.
Yes we do have a right we pay in
Yes, your way to have a say is to vote with your wallet.
@@jonathanmarkham1998 yeah exactly congratulations on your promotion to league 1 I come from Oldham hopefully we'll be back in league 1 in a few years
Football is business that has customers. Customer donât like VAR > Business scrap VAR >customer happy >Football is back
Without the fans, the game is dead.
Simon and TalkSport and other media in general despise the fans. Remember who pays your salary.
The man that has an opinion on literally everything thinks others should keep quiet.
PGMOL, The Premiership and clubs feel the same way, Simon is just saying it out loud.
Why not Simon?
If Simon Jordan had his way no fan would speak their mind and keep quiet .
Sick of hearing stats from Jim. Just go and watch a game of Premier league football it is horrific viewing. I support my local non league team every weekend now
Or stats with no context. Cool they are microscopic and getting offsides correct so that number goes up. Yet refs still have jobs who have failed to draw lines
Simon has right to say that fans have no right to say yes/no to VAR. Fans have right to say that Simon is an idiot, just like those people who want to keep VAR alive. It's the a matter of freedom of speech (which Simon failed to advocate). Although freedom of speech is bad for every business controlled by oligarchs. Football today is a matter of that kind of business model. A business that won't survive without fans. Anyway, I'm using my right to say whatever I want to say. And for sure, Simon will say: "Every right comes with consequences."
The more I watch games in the championship and lower down the pyramid, the more I despise VAR, abolish it until its working as it was intended too
Imagine saying that in Bundesliga, fans made sure Simon is fired right away. But no, in England and in EPL fans have no saying and respect. No wonder Bundesliga is called best league in the world.
Well here's an idea then, get the fans to buy out the clubs and become their owners, then they can their say as much as they want, job done. Alternatively, vote with their feet and stop going to matches. The issue is that every fan has his, her, or its, own individual agenda, but actually put them in position to decisions within a business that they have little actual understanding of [as opposed to an opinion on] and watch it turn to rat manure at a rapid rate of knots.
What gives Simon Jordan the right to sit on radio and gives us his opinion?
Fans dont have a right to have their say. But Simon Jordon does? Make it make senseâŠ
He didnât say fans donât have a right to have their say. You clearly didnât bother to watch the video before commenting, silly.
Of course we do its our sport or does the term football is nothing without fans onli apply in certain circumstances
I like SJ on certain things but he really does look down on the ordinary fan. The most important person in football is the fan. If thereâs no bums on seats or viewers at home, then thereâs no advertisement. No advertisement, means no lucrative TV revenue. No TV revenue, then very little income. Very little income, then no big salaries. Never forget just how powerful you are as a football fan. And f-k the opinions of these people that literally cannot run a football club and have to sell it for a pound đ
Well football fans can vote with their wallet. Cancel all your sky subscriptions, lobby advertiser's to boycott the media and don't buy merchandise. Not belong before they uturn and say sorry we were wrong. No wonder he failed at palace. Don't listen to fans lol. I do like Simon but sometimes he contradicts himself.
Simon would love to live in an autocratic old world with heirarchical systems of control!
As a match going fan who does blockhead think he is,your team scores then you have to wait before you can celebrate, its a bag of shite, taken a lot of fun out of the game.perhaps jordans love of football come only from the money making side of the game. What a blurt!!
We just pay to endure virtue-signalling, Lucy Ward, knee-bending, flags, hypocrisy and corruption and have no right to complain when the rules and experience of even the game itself is ruined? WHAT?!?!
If you hate it so much stop funding it instead of whining.
Dont try talking us like mugs who tf do u think u are. Its not ur game its OUR GAME!!!!!!!
Try English
An as Simon says what is it youâre gonna do apart from crying moan.
Simon shouldnât have the right to say anything on football as a failed football club owner
Simon is arrogant on a different level. What is football without the fans? Maybe the owners should be watching their teams play and thats good enough
Simon getting daring with a shorter haircut..we see u jordan
Just canât listen to a grown man stuttering every word. Drives me nuts.
simon doesnât have a say either so what does his opinion matter
Only thieves don't like security cameras.

Just Simon showing his disdain for the common man yet again.
Is it disdain for the common man or just living in reality?
How would you carry out âfansâ having a meaningful say in decisions like this?
Wolves' stance towards VAR is understandable. They suffered the most because of VAR and bad officiating. Almost all the teams were victims of VAR and incompetent officiating. There is one team, however, who always benefitted from VAR mistakes and bad officiating. Never were they the victims of VAR and horrendous officiating...đ that's strange
None of yous would have a job without the fans of course they have a right to
Shut up Jordan you have no right to dis the fans , they have paid your bread and butter and the rest of the corrupt league, without fans the game is dead.
Simon Jordan is such an old fart. Failed owner who seems to apparently have all the answers to solve football
Simon Jordan is everything thatâs wrong with modern football
The guyâs often a shock jock who brings down the level of discourse but heâs not the biggest thing wrong with modern football.

Simon just loves to have edgy takes, very boring and predictable. obviously fans should have a say. VAR makes the game slow and boring just as much as simons takes
Lost a bit of credit from me Simon mate
For your information Simon, football clubs can't stand without fans. The fans are the clients or customers so all what should be done by these football clubs should be in favour of the fans
And what are fans without the clubs and the players ? Remember watching those 11 players is a huge part of peoples lives if you take it away then what ?
â@@adammohamed.. what on earth are you talking about?
@@nickchivers9029 it was a reply to the previous comment. Theres no such thing as fans , not anymore youâre customers. If you donât buy your tickets someone else will. Fans are a stakeholder of football. I don't agree Simon. Fans drive football.
Fans are consumers. When I buy an iPhone I have certain basic consumer rights but it doesnât grant me the ability to involve myself in decisions made at Apple, nor should it.
I think the best way to use VAR is like it is being done in cricket. You let the team who feel aggrieved decide when they want to invoke it. And give limited chances for when you can call for VAR.
They should put a timer on decisions like 30 seconds or something
Simon Jordan are you on something saying football fans do not the right to have there say on Var!!!. Simon give your head a shake and talk some bloody sense for god sake who do you think you are.
How would you have a system where fans are involved in the decision making process?
How would you define who is and isnât a fan and how would they be represented?
Behave Simon.
Maybe fans need to put together their own football league without the greed and alienation of the reason football exists?
