One giant in his name and Andre the giant is one of them gems and much love to mark Henry
Hey A&E I have have a Shawn Michaels cardboard true life size cut out from early 90s for sale if you guys want it
Whats with the music volume at the end of each clip being so loud?
I was born in '76 and grew up watching wrestling just as Hulkamania was starting up. So I never got to know then what Hulk and Andre were like before that but I remember watching on on telly Andre rip off the shirt and its something you never forget. I don't think those kind of stories can ever be replicated.
Seeing Mark Henry cry over a guy he didn't know in Andre The Giant, that's pretty powerful
🤮
@Sneaky Sneakerson jesus christ, be positive dude :/
@Sneaky Sneakerson if you were real you would know not the start a sentence with a comma
No not really
The power of Andre the giant and his Legacy is more than words can say, I can say I miss him. I remember watching many matches with my Grandfather and this clip hit me very specific.
You can tell just how much Vince loved Andre. In any interview of his talking about Andre, he’s always brought to tears.
I think he was friends with the whole McMahon family.
@@juliahengstermann193 you’re probably right.
Andre made WWF a business people recognized.
this is why you always stay on good terms with ppl, you jsut never know....
Perhaps in hindsight he feels bad for continously calling on André to perform in his later years with ailments WWE wouldn't clear today's wrestlers to perform with.
What Andre went through, makes me sad every time. And Henry to react like that, he’s my favorite underrated wrestler of all time.
Andre is not underrated
Andre was never underrated and is so beloved by the member of the wwe especially the mcmahons, but he does underachieved, a trope which carries over to present day big men sans big show
Big show was underrated...and way better then Andre ...Andre was a drunk that's it waste of space
@@LongHuynh-bx5ll pretty sure hes saying henry is underrated
@@s4xtt he was saying Mark Henry was underrated
I wish Andre were here today so that he could see just how much he was, and is, loved by so many. RIP Andre, we love and miss you.
I dont love him
@@psychoticmaniac8465 why?
@@psychoticmaniac8465 then you shouldn't be here
I'm sure Andre is gonna read your comment
"put me in the middle, put me in the end. i dont care, i wanna be with my big guys"
it's a proven statistical fact that 90% of mark henry is his heart.
Andre was, and will always be a hero to millions and millions of people
I know Andre was a wrestler, but why would he be a hero to millions of people?
@@bigb9257 you would need to use that brain of yours mate
@@Ares-mg2nj Wow. Good come back! I asked a question, and instead of providing an answer or any evidence, to my question you respond back as if you had no clue nor a brain.
@@bigb9257 You know Andre was the first person to be inducted into the wwe hall of fame. He's the reason why the hall of fame exist, he's the reason why some superstars are inspired by him to join wrestling.
@@johnbacani5142 ok. Do you know the meaning of the word "Hero"? You are making an argument that because Andre was the first person to be inducted into HOF, he is a hero? I get that it's great to be the first to be inducted into HOF and paved the road for other wrestler, but again, the argument is why Andre is a hero and you provided a very weak reason. I guess these days people throw around the word "hero" for any accomplishments not knowing the true definition of Hero. Also, we are talking about Pro wrestling where the outcome is fixed.
That's how great the Brain was. Just siding with him made you a instant heel.
Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns has this storyline now
@@drphot6050 Probably the writers went back to the well. If it works one do it again.
No one more iconic and more recognizable than Andre The Giant.
The undertaker
KOBE
Big Bird
Except the man across the ring at WM3
Gilberg
i'm older French man, Andre is one of he best legend wrestler for me, Mark Henry is same but next generation.
I have a lot of respect for him, loyalty, honesty and right IRL. He's the rightful successor of Andre.
Mark is a big softy lol....cool that he respects the true first and only Giant
There's a story on how when he was a kid he nearly fell off the guardrail and Andre caught him and safely sit him back. He told Vince about it when he saw Andre's boots and Vince can't help but burst into tears
@@s4xtt it was his cast not boots, Vince keeps it in his office
@@duogemstone Oh thanks for rectifying that
Mark Henry tries on Andre's suit jacket and goes from being a big guy to a little guy. RIP Andre one of the great wrestlers
Girth wise the jacket fit. But the sleeve length was definitely too wise.
Idk why, but I got the chills when Mark put Andre’s tuxedo coat on
When hogan went to slam him & Andre fell on him early almost for a 3 count, I didn't take my eyes off that match for even a second.
I've Always wondered what if there was a 3 Count there
@@twilliamspro Match ends
@@twilliamspro and someone is fired
I feel for Stephanie at the end. She didn't want to see her best friend lose that night.
U should see there was a promo segment between Cena and Stephanie whereby you can feel Stephanie's genuine love for Andre when they show her childhood photo hugging Andre, it made it really hard to boo him
@@s4xtt I remember that segment. It was when Cena tried to compete in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and Stephanie ripped him to shreds
When?
@@tanyamcpeek9846 Wrestlemania III.
Nothing but sad, but with the schedule a champ had in those days and with André´s fading health, in reality you couldn´t put the belt on him. So I think, the minute he held the belt before giving it to DiBiase almost a year later can be seen as a "thank you - you deserved it".
We will never see anything like Andre again. God bless the giant.
Big show same weight and height but never the same
Andre was special that's for sure
@@nickthetick1723
They say Andre was 7'4, 520 in his prime. Bigshow is said to be 7'1. Also I read, after surgeries on Andre's back. He was under 7 feet. So who knows.🤷🏾♂️ Wreslers and basketball players are known to lie on their height.
@@tank100286 I think Andre probably peaked at 7’1”-7’2”, but quickly regressed in height from his massive weight and also the back surgeries and leg surgeries
@@tank100286 cause he is absolutely gigantic in those earlier matches from the 60s and 70s
RIP Andre. I will never forget the feelings I felt watching that Piper's Pit and I will never NOT get goosebumps at Hogan slamming him. Most important stuff in the world to me as a 7 year old. Still love it at 41.
Hulk was so concerned for Andre's safety! The 2 of them sold it really well!
I always loved the big guys in wrestling. For me being 6ft9 working my whole life at first on construction and the last 12 years as a butcher, I have so much respect for André, the big show, Mark Henry, Glen Jackobs, Diesel...
I know what back and hip pain is and it's something a big guy just gets. But to perform as wrestler with this physic is a whole different story. I think no one can imagine how tough it really is. All my respect for them
It must be cool being as tall as you are and just having a deep connection with a wrestler like Andre the Giant, Big Show, Kane, all of the massive guys in the industry. At 6'3" I'm considered very tall by the general public, I couldn't imagine being 6'9".
Every professional wrestler should not only aim for the “face of the company” championship, but every main event pro wrestler should be chasing their own Hogan v Andre Wrestlemania 3 moment.
Andre is an icon who will continue to be talked about with great reverence long after all of us are gone.
Andre would have been in his 70's by now. Strange to think of that.😔
I actually seen the Piper's pit when Andrea turned heel live at 6yrs old. I remember the crowd was dead silent after. In shock, like Undertaker's streak ending.
RIP Bobby (Best Manager Of All Time)
And the mosted hated general manager.
Seeing Mark Henry cry made me have so much respect for him as a wrestler
Andre the giant. What a entertainer. He was WWF champion but sold the belt to ted dibiase. What a story line. The good days of wrestling
A big problem today is that WWE doesn't use any "no name jobbers" and has too many PPV specials. This limits how much long term storytelling WWE can do.
Mannnnnnnn 🥺... I got actual tears balling up in my eyes seeing Marks reaction to André's belongings ❤️
You know someone has a passion for the wrestling business when they tear up just being around clothing legends wore. Mark Henry absolutely adored pro wrestling. Rock on Mark!! 🤘🤘🤘
Gotta give props to Mark Henry the guys got a big heart. 👍👍👍👍✌✌✌✌
This show is a relic from when America was great again
That emotion that Mark Henry showed when he put on Andre the Giant's coat was genuinely beautiful!!!
Everytime I watch that slam of Andre I get emotional it's crazy how a storyline in wrestling can give you something like that.
Andre has always been one of my favorite superstars. He truly is a legend. Andre was such an inspiration because he was always true to himself. He taught me that being different does not have to be a bad thing. He was a giant, and I am on the other end of the spectrum at 4'11. RIP Andre.
You made me cry
As a fellow "Big Guy", I understand what the emotions were about. MH is a colossal human being and that's the first time in his life he tried on a piece of clothing that made him feel small, it confirmed all his thoughts that Andre was larger than life and even bigger than he had become. 2 years ago I had to rent a size 73 Tux so I know what it is like to have to purchase 7XL clothing. Thank god I am down to 5X and 395...
Hogan slammed Andre in 1980, but this angle was great. I'm still crushed that Andre turned into a bad guy.
Also, I heard that Andre wasn't actually "undefeated". However, back in those days it was a lot easier to get away with "lying" in order to tell a story.
@@djm5687 Lol wrestling is lying
What the wwe does not tell folks is that Harley race slammed Andre way before Hogan
@@stevelucia223 Stan Hansen, El Canek, Inoki, Kamala... They hid a lot.
@@stevelucia223 yes but to be fair Harley slammed Andre when he was around mid 400 pound range. Hulk slammed him when he was 520+ pounds.
My dad has a bad hip. And can barely take a step and when he does he’s in excruciating pain. And every day he gets up at 5am to go work construction like he has for the last 50 years. It amazes me every day that he can even get out of bed let alone go work every day. You can’t teach that kind of grit. You’re born with it. And Andre had it in spades.
I love Marc Henry man, he just seems like an awesome dude.
I grew up watching Andre. I loved his work. When he passed the torch tho Hogan, I was in tears.
R.I.P. Andre.
Thank you WWF, Andre, Hogan and all the rest for making my childhood Amazing...
4:02 I started to cry to hear that André was ashamed and that he didn’t want people to see how much pain he really was in that just proves that he loved people more than he loved himself.
I wish André had the surgery that big show had to stop the condition so he was still alive today and to see how much Vince and everyone else loved/ loves him
Wasn't planning on tearing up today
Seeing Mark cry humanized him even more and makes me respect him more and more. It's awesome seeing him be such a big Fan of Andre.
I can only imagine how Mark felt when he tried on that jacket
I can only imagine what a proper WWF/WWE museum would look like. It would be incredible to be able to go and visit to actually get to see some of this stuff, which would bring memories flooding back. I am sure it would have to be quite a big building as well, in order to hold everything.
They really need to do it
The electricity ,energy and hype for this match at the time was unreal. The quality of the match can be questioned but I believe pro wresting hit it's peak at this match and was never the same again after.
Andre is a legend!!
Andre the Giant's a true legend and never will be forgotten
You can really see how much love Mark has for Andre, he was truly his role model and it breaks my heart that he can’t help keep his memory alive. I remember seeing Andre the Giant for the first time when my grandad showed me The Princess Bride and he was was always stuck in my head, then as I grew my brothers loved WWE and it was amazing to see him on a different light and doing what he loved
Man I can't wait for the Museum to be built
I knew Mark Henry was going to tear up when he put that jacket on that's like me putting my favorite wrestler of all times gear on Sting
I honestly think they need to find something from an '80s icon tag team known as the killer bees I'd love to see something in their studios from that tag team my all-time favorite tag team
Exactly and they need to find The Strike Force memorabilia that would be perfect in there studios
@@adonismapother the strike force jackets were fire
Jumping’ Jim Bronzell and B Brian Blair love it.
When Andre ripped that cross off The Hulkster he ripped the hearts out of all the little hulkamaniacs out there brother!
That's so cool he got to try on the tuxedo!
This is a great series! Hope WWE/AE continue this partnership
I'm surprised they mentioned the big show since he is now in aew

Hearing Vince McMahon talk wrestling as it is just brings me so much joy. The man is a genius no matter how far out of touch he me be today.
Mark Henry is such a gentle giant and he always seems to wear his heart on his sleeve. He must be the nicest guy in the business.
Does anyone have a bad word to say about Andre?
No. They don’t. That says it all.
Not even the wrestlers he hated dont say a bad thing

Wow this was well put together and you can tell the genuine love everyone had for ATG!
Seeing mark cry for Andre was very touching man mark loved Andre so much 🙏🙏
Man seeing Bobby Heenan... I didn't expect that. It was nice to see him healthy.
The sad thing is the longer we live, more of our childhood heroes and villains will pass on. Seeing Andre, seeing Heenan, I have the utmost respect for them...
All these episodes have been amazing, but the Andre The Giant episode is by far the best. So much I didn't know.
Bro I started crying too this is amazing
Mark is up there as one of the most genuinely loveable dudes in wrestling. One of the greatest big men ever in the sport, Andre would have loved him.
Andre is special to all every singel wrestler who watch and learn from him, he's true legend.
Amazing episode! 🖤
The last 2 episodes with Andre & Flair were my favorites!
I agree completely w what Vince’s daughter said it was sad even I was only 10 years old. I knew that Andre’ wasn’t well but it was only years later that thru watching videos on his life - just how unwell he really was! Which makes it even harder to watch this video now...
May Andre’ The Giant Rest In Peace....❤️🙏
Seeing how Mark feels about Andre doesn’t seem all that strange to me. I know exactly how he feels. Every time somebody mentions Eddie Guerrero, I either get super excited or super emotional. I get choked up thinking about him, even though I never met him and I was like 4 when he passed, but the effect he’s had on me over the years speaks volumes.
So Mark really shouldn’t feel ashamed or weird for crying about a man he’s never met, because that’s his hero, just like Eddie’s my hero and I hate the fact that I’ll never get to meet him.
Eddie and Benoit are workin out together on that big bow flex in the sky. Hittin Jesus with a flying headbutt from the top rope of heaven.
Mark actually met Andre as a kid when he fell over the barrier in a match and Andre picked up up and placed him back behind the barrier
I miss those days when everyone threw Cups & Balled up Popcorn bags at the Wrestlers😂
What an amazing piece! Props to everyone involved in this segment.
Man how touching! Human compassion is real and needed so much in these awful times!
A miracle has happened vince McMahon actually used a wrestling term 'heel'.
Vince : "he was dying..."
Also Vince: (how can I make one last bit of money out of him).

Do your research, lad.
Negative brother
If you watch the A&E: Biography episode about Andre some of those closest to him in the program state that he wanted to wrestle till the day he died and that having to stop wrestling hurt him more than his affliction ever did.
@@The_13th_Hussar Not just that. Vince paid for Andre's operation out of his very own pocket, 'cause the big guy wanted to give it all he could and put the Hulkster over. WMIII was and STILL is a huge deal even to this day.
I'll never forget the day my twin brother and I saw Andre the Giant at the Marriott in Seattle, back in 1991.
Andre's turning point to was the first time I saw a switch from Baby face to heel and I didn't understand it at the time but have learned to respect it so much
Absolutely awesome this big guy got emotional wearing his heroes coat!
Loving this series, and I think this was my favorite episode. Having Mark Henry end Big Show and their perspectives definitely added a lot.
One of my favorites wrestle Mania's, I used to watch it over and over again and love it every time
Another random youtube recommendation.
Good throw back.
We miss you, André ❤️
That was WWF!!!!!!
I watched a lot of Andre wrestling. I know I have watched Princess Bride more than thirty times.
Andre the giant always invokes feelings like this. He was truly great…
Very humble guy.
I like.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Mark is a true Andre The Giant fan! He deserves the Giant Machine Mask...
1:27 the I got injured by Marc Henry sign that goes up made that clip so much better haha that boy was out out cold for real dam
The fact that the iconic WrestleMania III happened at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan, is crazy to me! The location of where that building used to stand is now a huge Amazon Fulfillment Center, like 5-10 mins down the road from my house. I remember as a little kid at the time, just being enamored by these guys and all of the characters they had back then.
Wrestlemania 3 solidified my fandom! I’ve been a wrestling fan ever since.
I would love for these guys to go and try to find anything that belonged to Eddie Guerrero like his red tights he wore when he won the wwe championship or his green Low rider
If I'm not mistaken, I think Chavo has the low rider. John Cena mentioned that on an Eddie DVD once.
Damnit all. Watching that entire clip through tears! What a spectacular show! I’ve seen a handful already but this one brings me back to when my dad and I watched this all happening for the first time! Heck one of my Christmas presents was Acclaim’s WrestleMania!
Mark was one of my faves during my childhood. Pus he did a lot of funny stuff, now i look back. But his strength ad matches made it concrete!!! This guy was inspiring! Love this guy!!! He’s one of those big guys in wrestling. But he is bigger in many ways, he is that amazing guy that will inspire to be big!
I cried when Andre died. I cried watching this.
Andre The Giant was a great wrestler. May he Rest In Peace.
Rhonda Orton is Bob Orton Jrs sister. She dated Andre for awhile. It was funny because Bob said "I asked her, but she wouldnt tell me" and the interviewer said "asked her what?" and he said "The same thing you're wondering".
Mark is such a humble man. Just his reaction to his hero. God Bless you Andre and Mark.
I never thought I would see an item if clothing that was too big for Mark Henry and of course it would belong to André. André knew what he was doing when he didn’t want treatment, yes he wanted to be out if pain but he knew he would reach God status when he passed which only grows every year!
andre greatest ever
Mark Henry’s respect towards Andre was indeed very respectable too
