      I suspect that brain surgery like was in its infancy in the 70s when Andre first talked to doctors in Japan about it, and the high mortality rate is probably what kept him off the table. long live 80's 90's wrestling!! that being said, as a budding fan of arm-wrestling, can you just imagine if Andre had gotten into that sport. arm-wrestlers always talk about hand thickness and size being a key factor among a few others, that help with being a successful pro arm-wrestler

    Hogan is meta-kayfabing here. What I mean by this: He admits that it is all a work but still pretends as if WMIII was something to worry about. If André tells you he'll sell for you, he'll do.

      Except he didn't tell him prior to the match. It's in the documentary.

    God I loved growing up in that era! Nostalgia wave incoming:
    •WWF Toys & those weird long-armed wrestler pillows.
    •Legos.
    •GiJoes & the amazingly detailed weapons, bases & Vehicles!
    •Pogs, Hockey Cards.
    •Big wheels with big holes from braking.
    •GTs & Plastic-saucers/sheets on the steep hills for our first broken bones.
    •Stretch-Armstrong
    •Rollerblading with Sony Cassette Walkman.
    •Model Cars, only Lvl 2 & up
    •Nintendo, SegaGenesis & Super Nintendo.

    How could Mean Gene say that he’s not the most articulate man in the world? That’s so insulting. He’s French. He was extremely articulate and very well spoken. English was his second language.

    • @joshportie
      @joshportie Před 3 lety +7

      You can be articulate and struggle with a language. Its about expressing thoughts and ideas and getting your point across. So this had nothing to do with English being a second language. Im sure he spoke French much better than English but that doesn't necessarily make him articulate. In any event Gene was talking about the character of Andre, who was a man of action and few words.
