custom dyno tune is needed for you. I have a 06 3v cammed. dyno tuned at 300hp rwhp and 350 foot lb torque

Tina Roberson Ford hotrod cams c&l racer intake. with a dyno tune from c&h Motorsports in Sanford fl the cost was $500 for the tune if you provide a tuner . but I had to buy a tuner from them. so o ended up paying $900 for the dyno tune

I made 305hp and 320 torque with just CAI and long tube headers I did get a custom dyno tune tho so I was able to squeeze as much HP out of those mods as I could

Take your number minus the percent
(370 - 15% = 314.5)

I almost forgot , when i did all my bolt ons i had a bama tune installed .. we dynoed at 340 rwhp , after performance evolution re-tuned it and corrected my air to fuel ratio i git an additional 35 hp .. so get a custom tune ( well worth it )

Good job, Sally. You are dead on with the numbers. I heard 265 at the tire with a manual. But with that throttle body and a better tune. You should see 330wrhp. I'm a big reader of Muscle Mustangs. Once that throttle body is installed. Get another tune or a special tune on the dyno.

Tune. Tune. Tune. There’s Phastek, GTR, JBA, Spankin’ Time, and High Rev Dyno Tuning in SoCal. I would also recommend putting the charge motion plates back on. Four Eyes did a video on this with dyno numbers on his 3V project. Lots of room on the table. Great video👍🏼

Those were good numbers for your mods and the chart looked good with a steady TQ curve. Without seeing your A/F ratio though its tough to say on the tune. One thing you need to know about the Charge Motion Delete (CMD) plates is they do cost you TQ and low end HP to gain a little (roughly 10 HP) on the top end. B/c you are running 4:10's and what amounts to stage 2 cams this is not a bad thing for your setup. Once you get the throttle body on you will get back everything on the low end the CMD's cost you plus pick up around 5-10 more peak HP at the top. At that point the only way you can pick up more power without F/I will be the FR Heads or a displacement or compression ratio increase. And for that $$$ you can get a S/C. I had the same set up on my 07 GT in Germany minus the cams but with the throttle body and I was 19 HP off what you just dyno'd. Although being able to custom tune my car myself it had a slight advantage over the bama canned tune Sally is running... My advice is don't waste $$ on a dyno tune if you are going to go F/I within a year. Just wait and dyno tune it then where it will be much more worth while from a HP/TQ, drive-ability and SAFETY stand point...

All of you must consider the multiple variables in his dyno runs. The dyno results vary based on the type of dyno, weather is always a factor, rotational weight which refer to the stock driveshaft that he still uses and the wheels you see are slightly heavier than the stock ones and the wide tires he recently installed on the rear also add weight to rotating parts which are known for robbing power as well. He is also running on an off the shelf tune which is also hindering the power potential of his modifications.

Yo, dude! Gotta get that custom tune, man. I've got a 2005 auto with bolt ons making 310 whp and 322 torque. No cams. Yours definitely has more potential than mine to make more horsepower. Also, your charge motion control plates delete may be robbing you of some torque. I don't wanna get too technical but look it up and check if it's worth losing that much torque for just a few horsies and decide. Great vid!

I think you should get a dyno tune. I think you have more but what do I know? If you don't mind me saying that with every new mod from Brenspeed you get a tune sent by computer. Is this tune you have from Bama Chips with all these mods added?

You should do new plugs and cops.. A good pro tune and then start giving that big body a diet pull the seats in the back the spare ect. A lowering kit would help some too as well as some 4.11 gears
I know that Bama Tunes have not been known to be some of the best on the market so I think you should do a Dyno tune for the car.
I think an OEM intercooler to help the mid to high rpm will help. Not too sure if I'm remembering that part correctly.

So I've heard the aftermarket underdrive pulleys don't make the car overheat under normal driving conditions... but if your driving for longer trips or driving it a little hard or even racing doing a few consecutive pulls...will the aftermarket underdrive pulleys make it overheat then?? This is with a properly functioning cooling system of course..

That torque number is low though, my 3v made 318 tq, But I had different cams. If you switched to the brenspeed detroit rocker cams it might make a little bit more.
Why did you go BBK vs Ford Racing on your TB? American Muscle cites that it's matched to your cams. I believe the ford racing is 62 mm? I don't know what bbk is.

Damn with BBR Stage 1 cams, a garbage K&N cold air, and steeda underdrive pulleys I made 300whp and 290ft lbs of torque with a Brenspeed tune. Also I made that while 2 cylinders down with broken spark plugs
From other 3vs I've seen that is kind of low even with the email tunes espcially for a 5 spd. Longtubes+cams +underdrive pullies+intake+tune should be netting around 325-355 whp. Most 5 spd 3vs with just intake+midpipe+mufflers+good tune are already making 295-310 whp. Lose the TB spacer and get an actual bigger throttle body. TB spacer may be screwing you up, those are pure snake oil for these cars. I may be wrong but I don't even think bama changes tunes for them, so your computer may be seriously changing A/F due to that major air/sensor location difference. A lot of people debate TBs but they are worth it. Not big peak gains but it beefs up/smooths out the power curve mid range and especially high range. Get BBK's twin 62mm setup.
Hp isnt bad..the tq is low. I think a real dyno tune will bring out a lot better results.
HorsePlay Motoring Torque is low due to the charge motion delete plates he has on. If he were to put the factory ones back on I wouldn't expect to see less than a 15-20ft lb gain of peak torque.

If you have the money, the best thing you could do for your car at this point are to install the new throttle body and get a proper dyno tune. If you get a tune get an 87 octane tune. Your e wasting your money with 91 octane, you have a low compression engine and it will not net you nice hp gains relative to what you are spending in gas. About 10 hp tops. A healthy 87 octane dyno tune will do wonders. With your modifications you have leaned out the cars fuel supply (every full exhaust car does this, it's a fact) and need to get a proper dyno tune to make sure you are getting the proper afr throughout the engine's entire powerband. A can tune like the one you have will not really solve this. Now this won't get you 350 whp, but the car would feel much torquier and healthy when gettin down. It may take you from 315 whp to 330 whp.
Mine is 350whp with a jlt 3 intake, can't say the cams im running, pypes lth/ pyoes offroad h, magnapacks,i guess it helps having the best dyno tuner in the U.S doing it also... If u don't believe me I got my dyno sheet... Mmr 3 kit coming soon with a DOB blower or turbo
You can’t add hp for each individual component like that, it’s not incremental like that. Like one component might give you 20 extra if that’s the only component over stock and another one might give you 15 extra if you used it alone but that don’t mean you end up with 35 extra using both of them together. It don’t work like that.
With a tune and full bolt ons with the hot rod cams I have my dyno sheet 373rwhp

My coyote was full bolt on and with bama tune I made 385hp with my Dyno tune I made 412hp
You really only need the delete plates, long tubes and cams, everything else is ok. The tune and intake is not going to give you 20hp, your power output is solid but if you want to get more power in N/A format you will need a more aggressive cam.
So all the add ons and money spent you only gained 60hp or did I miss something? I have been wanting to do upgrades but after that is it worth it ?

I've heard that with all these mods it's generally 320 to the wheels but I have seen a Brenspeed Cams video with 325? without long tube headers.
Change for a Fox body is more cheap and you see a the amazing result I have both and i only spend lest than a $10,000 and I have one insane car with 612 hp 🇵🇷🔥
Don't forget, it's hot out, in a nice 60 degree day it'd probably make 10+ more
Remember you are reading low because of your 4.10 gears. It isn't 100% the tune's fault.
I did full bolt ons on my 08 bullitt and i got 375 rwhp .. is it a waste in 2018 ( 100% yes ) when i did mine 5 years ago coyotes were just arriving on the scene .. now the 2018 have over 400 rwhp stock !!!

upgrade to a bigger Radiator, hoses, fan, and water pump to get the motor running cooler and that will give you more power
My 3v made 305whp 380rwtq with just a tune intake and muffler delete... so you need to change up your tuning, you need to get it dyno tuned it makes a world of difference. Mine is now fbo and e85 and I made 356rwhp 402rwtq, so there’s a lot more power to be made bro, put that big throttle body on, then next mod, put in the ford performance 47lb injectors, which are e85 compatible, and get it tuned, the handheld tuners, and tunes Bama writes you are good if you are just looking to wake it up and get a little more out of it, but you’ll get so much more out of a custom tune

Very surprised it made that little, my 2005 made 333 rwhp and 342rwhp with full bolt ons and no cams. Stock cams make the best hp and tq in my opinion on NA cars.

So this isn't hating in your car at all but, just fyi love your car and you've done great with modding it!! Sooo this is why I sold my 07 GT you can boost these cars and get only 450 to the wheels . just not worth it in my opinion. Wish I would have waited a bit longer and got a 13 or 14

You need a custom tune you cannot get 100% performance out of the boat ons without a custom tune,I have a 2006 Mustang GT Which is currently turbo and I went about the steps of adding all the boat no basically at that BBK has to offer,And which are cams you should have gotten phaser locks during high rpm’s the car jumped timing you don’t get all the power in the phaser locks are recommended,With a custom tune with full boat ons, I was making 355hp had the car tuned here in San Antonio Htek Performance they specialize in mustangs,Everybody can’t tune a Mustang,So I try to avoid LS Chevy tuners
you need to hit up department of boost and get a Lund tune.

You don't need a custom dyno tune: you need a LITO tune. Google Tudyno and email lito (manuel). You'll get a better tune from your data logs than a dyno.
So the final number isn't bad. I mean you only got 300 crank to begin with so the amount u increased is not bad. Im sure Sally is faster and quicker now and thats what really counts. You might wanna consider a single piece aluminum driveshaft. I just got one. At 1/2 weight of stock its almost like shaving close to 150 lbs, maybe more, off the car weight making your car quicker.
It shaves off 21-24 pounds depending on which company, but that is a great place to lose weight as it reduces parasitic HP loss at the wheels. Also, it transfers the power from the transmission to the rear differential with less "play" getting the power to the wheels faster as well. They normally knock off a couple tenths from your 0-60 mph time and are one of the few mods that add rwhp while improving fuel economy!
I don't hate you! I have been saying to get a TB! now just get the intake manifold and you will be identical to mine!
At the very least spend $150 and get a tune from Lito. I have the same mods, plus the FRPP intake manifold. The difference (butt dyno) between Lito and Bama is night and day!

Get a lito tune for ethanol and you will gain about 30ish to the wheels

A mate i really think you have a tuning issue with your car . Because i also have a s197 with hot rod camms ,c&l cai, 47lb injectors ,e85, steeda plates and i hit 340. No longtubes or throttlebody. And also i hit 8.3 in my 1/8 . So im assuming you car is under powered.

Matt Loftus u shouldnt wanna push 500hp on stock 3v. At least 450-475 is the safe and most u should go.. you prolly gon have to change some internals for it to handle 500. Search up on3 performance 70mm single turbo on 3v mustang. What imcurrently saving up for. And its $1,900
TreyB search up brenspeed 3v hp limit video. He breaks down the myth of 500whp being the limit on these 3v. The true limit is the torque. Keeping it around 450 is key.
