    “Wildfire” - Michael Martin Murphey
Once again, I implore you to give this a listen on solid headphones or in the car. It’s just better that way.
I apologize for the day delay; a 32oz steak and some great conversation with my Paps got in the way.
If you were to tell me that I could only play one more song and then have to quit music for the rest of my life, this song would be it.
I speak for the boys when I say this is our favorite song we do as a band, and when it comes up on the set, I almost always get a tad emotional. I simply love it SO much.
I would be remiss if I didn’t shout out Mr. Ivory Slim (otherwise known as Ian Mannino) on the Keys. The guy truly makes this song his own, and boy, it shines. Not to mention that monstrous 6-piece harmony on the choruses makes this song hit big as a barn.
For my musicians, we’ve got Bass, 3rd below, a doubled 3rd above, and a 5th above in the harmony department.
For everyone else, that’s code for “MAGIC”.
If you are new to this kind of music, I hope you’ll give us a shot and watch this one all the way through. As you can see from the diabolical stank faces, the whole crew indeed laid it out on the line on this one, and I think you’ll love it.
This is the ONE AND ONLY time I’ll specifically ask that you guys watch a video of ours from start to finish. It really does get better as it goes, and I feel that out of respect for Michael Martin Murphy and the song, it would be a disservice not to give it the attention.
In closing, The Faster Horses will be recording this song professionally, and it will 100% be on the album.
Spread the word if you like what you’re hearing, and try not to let this one get stuck in your head for too long.
