  • A demonstration flight with the Antonov 225 from Edwards AFB over to Point Mugu NAS in Microsoft Flight Simulator - taking it from cold and dark to cold and dark. Along the way we look at navigation using course, GPS, and VOR, we look at auto-throttle, and then fly approach manually into Point Mugu. Great fun!

Spot the mistake on approach - I used VOR mode instead of Land mode on the HSI - which is why I didn't see the glideslope (doh!). Land mode is the top left button below the HSI.

Thanks Jonathan! Saw several great air shows at Edwards and Mugu in the late ‘70s, early ‘80s. The highlight at Edwards was a B2 flyby, and at Mugu it was an SR-71!

I think I'll stick to Combat Flight Simulator. I've just about figured out the Sopwith Camel

Wonder how big this plane is compared to a 747 😮

Wonder if there’s an option in the EFB for some of the switch labels, because my course knob on my installation actually says ‘course 1’ and ‘course 2’
Get better soon dude, cheers JB.

There is an option in the tablet, but it only affects a few labels here and there.
