Hey man, I've watched a ton of your pmdg videos and they've been incredibly helpful in my journey to become a better virtual aviator. However, most of the time, I just like listening and watching your visual demonstrations as they're very cathartic. I appreciate all your contributions to the flight sim community 🙏. Take care and all the best in your transition to the a330!
Thank you captain, looking forward for an ILS approach/landing tutorial
Thanks for your tutorials. I'm really looking forward to the further tutorials as at the moment I'm having some problems on how to use the autopilot correctly during a flight. Keep up that great work!
Goodness Emanuel ‼️I'll need a real copilot to even remember all of this autopilot 😂
great tutorial. ive been struggling adopting good autopilot use with the AN-during my streams but will give this ago!
that turn right/left button sounds like the crazy ivan mode
hahaha, anyone else in for hunt for red october?
Give me a ping vacili... one ping only please
Thank you so much for your explanation!
thanks for the detailed explanation
IIRC VOR modes were not used on real An-124-100 (according to RLE), so probably also not used on An-225.
IIRC on real An-225 there was no autothrottle.
MAX is mislabelled. X is actually Ch in cyrilic so it should be labelled MACH in english cockpit. ER should be AP.
Omg.. Thank you soooo much Airbus engineers. I love them all...
hahaha
Thank you!
Welcome!
Does the AP disconnect automatically when you make manual inputs to the flight controls?
What totally perplexes me is why in the world after decades of the fall of the soviet union Antonov did not engage foreign partners and did not retrofit modern avionics into the airplane. Somebody like honeywell or collins would've jumped up and down at the opportunity at a very reasonable cost, comparatively speaking. But on the other note seeing this beast in person back behind the iron curtain as a kid and young adult was an experience of a life time :).
Well, it is a unique purpose-built airplane, not a general airliner. Only a very select few people would pilot it anyway and they seemed to handle the dated cockpit just fine. It also didn't have to worry about quick turnarounds and (if I recall correctly) didn't even follow the same routing as a normal airliner.
Even retrofitting an airplane with modern Avionics costs millions, probably tens or hundreds of millions. Why would you do it, if the costs of paying the six man crew is cheaper?
We're talking about a single airplane here, not an entire fleet. It would probably not make any economical sense.
@@A330Driver on this topic, do you think the rebuilt version will have a modern avionics suite?
Some An-124 have received avionics upgrade with modern FMS systems.
@@mattwright5887 Really don't see what anyone see's in this eyesore.
That's great! 💖💛🧡💖❤💝
Is the AN225 vatsim ready/capable?
I flew it online in my livestreams yesterday and the day before.
If you understand the plane and how it works you can perfectly use it online - but it'll be some high workload initially so better pick some quiet places at first without huge amounts of traffic.
Too complicated for me I’ll stick to vnav and lnav
