This series gets better after the first few episodes. And it can get DARK too. I won’t spoil it, but there’s this transition from a cute family scene straight to some messed up brutality.

Zhao Lusi is having way too much fun in all these roles and I love it.
Galaxy is written by the same author who wrote "Story of MingLan" so it's guaranteed to have good dialogue taken from the book.
This drama starts out really slow (For good reason - we really have to know the FL’s circumstances so we can understand her decisions in the future) but after they finally meet in episode 6 it’s PURE MAGIC! I’m so addicted to this show it’s unhealthy. The chemistry is 🔥, stunning storyline and beautiful cinematography. Best drama of all time!

It’s the best drama that I’ve watched so far this year. I’ve finished the first 30 episodes and I’m hooked. All actors and actresses were perfect for their role. Waiting for more episodes is killing me!
Tbh, I actually watched this drama because of the actress playing the grandma. All of her highly dramatic scenes are very entertaining.
The lady who keeps fussing over her son in the beginning? Yes, she's pretty dramatic😂

This is my favorite c drama of 2022 so far and I am liking all the characters too. They just fit with the role really well. And each character has its own story , building not just put there for leads. Also drama balanced between comedy and politics, light and dark. Plz watch till the end, it is better and better.
I can say with conviction that this drama is better than Dream of Splendor
Best drama of 2022 for me. I rewatched so many times! The only drama that can have slapstick comedy, family feud, crazy emperor, tragedy and palace intrigue in EACH episode. Cheng ShaoShang's paybacks are epic.
I actually enjoys this series, light hearted and a moderate amount of humour mixed w/ young love

This is the best cdrama of 2022. So good!best chemistry of wu lei and zhao lusi, great acting with all of the casts, good storytelling and cinematography. A really must watch! First four episodes might be slower for some but it's a good build up of foundation of the drama then episode 6 is where it's gotten really good and so far up to current episode you're gonna be hooked!
Although I love Leo Wu I wholly agree with the teenager outlook thing! Such a young and fresh looking general 😅

Tencent is knocking it out of the park with two great dramas in a row. I admit that it took me about 8 episodes to really get into LLTG. The tone was just confusing at first with too much in one direction (comedy) and then in the other (melodrama), but it found it’s feet and now is one of my weekly must-watch shows. Who knows - maybe Tencent can keep it up with yet another drama after this, though I haven’t heard of any upcoming releases that sound promising.
Yes, they've kind of made amends for their questionable drama choices in the past with these two XD
This drama is so good. The first few episodes are not very interesting, but slowly you see how the drama builds up and expands on the story. The pacing is good - quickly moving the plot forward, but taking time to build up all the characters. Never watched Wu Lei in anything before, and was a bit on the fence around him at first, but he's really good in this role, lots of subtle movements and facial expressions that makes him an interesting character. He's the typical stoic, outwardly cold ML, but with very human flaws and a tragic backstory. He's a good match for Zhao Lusi, who's really shining in this quite serious role. The humour gets better (found it a little too silly in the first episodes) and creates a nice lightweight to the more heavy and tragic scenes. Overall this is a really good drama, and highly addictive!

I loooveed the long introduction... if you watch it in HD is such a beautiful scene... but I just can't help to think: whyyy?? Whyyy?? Why Mulan could not do the same with the army scenes 😓😓??.... and you're absolutely right if you're not giving me Ning Yi's level, I want nothing 🤣🤣... but I'm really in to this drama right now, the fact that the FL does not care to be with the ML (at least for now) gives you a diferent "feeling" and kind of gives you time to grow with the leads.
Mulan can learn a lot from... pretty much anything😂
It's not a perfect drama, less so than the other one. I am in fact pretty hooked by it though. Came in with low expectations so it's making me happy. Finally a recent drama where I'm feeling the love for Lusi again and never thought they would work but the CP works wonderfully together. 😍

I am anticipating every episodes of this drama. I primarily watched it coz of Wu Lei since I became a fan of his since NIF drama. I also love his acting in TLB.
Wu Lei is the reason why I like this drama and that's it. I really thought that he was 28 when, in reality, he's 22. Also, his subtle expressions in every scene he is in are just chef's kiss.
As for Zhao Lusi, she can act however, I think the producers are still relying on her "cuteness".
Also, what's with the family drama and making the main FL so pitiful? I'm definitely over this trope where the FL is so downtrodden and hated by the family so that the producers can garner sympathy for her. Gimme my feral unsympathetic female characters, man!

When I saw the cape swirl like that for a moment I thought- huh did I watch Batman by mistake? It’s quite a funny drama but no real romance development until part 2.
He knows there's an audience when he does that cape-swirl😂
I'll be the lone dissenter by saying Zhao Lusi's acting isn't good enough for this drama. She only has several expressions that she rotates throughout. Sometimes I think she's confused on how to convey what the character should be feeling.
I am waiting for your final review. I was only watching for the general and his black guards and other males. The ending was not great for me as I wanted more. It felt rushed and hoping for a season 2 to finish up the story.
So far, it's an okay drama. The situation between the youngsters and their families is more interesting than the romance between the MLs. What you should be watching is Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
I watched the first 4 episodes and it did not hold me captive. The 2 leads are just typical characterizations for this kind of drama. In fact, Zhao Lusi is getting rather stale for me cos she acts basically the same in all the 4 or so dramas of hers I have watched.
I also find the family members much more interesting characters and entertainment. Maybe I'll jump to Episode 6 or 7 and try again, since that's the opinion of where the action starts.

The show is not as bad as I expected but some of the characters are just irritating for no reason.
I dont know what to expect from all those generals in C drama. Which enemy wont be dropping their jaws just by generals' looks? And no, dont get me started with Gods of War and Crown Princes.
Looks can serve as a distraction before they go in for the kill😂
Whenever I see Wu Lei I feel like the old Aunt who cant believe that his baby nephew has grown to be a man now. In my heart I always see him as cutie patootie Fei Lu.... I guess it will br very diffucult to change that lol
