It's okay I am still traumatised by Rise of Phoenixes too... I bring it up at least once a week... seriously who decided to create perfection for 40 episodes and then throw it in the bin.
I always love it when the supporting characters out act the main leads and are the best thing in the drama.
I LOVE THIS SHOW! IT WAS SO CUTE AND THE ONLINE COMMUNITY THAT HAPPENED WHILE IT WAS AIRING WAS CRAZY. Tumblr was popping with theories every week.
Oooooo! I thoroughly enjoyed New Life Begins. As you mention, the supporting cast's acting is stellar! In my opinion there can be a Season 2 of this ACD with expanded storylines about the lines and relationships of the supporting cast members' performances. Yet, I really did enjoy the lead couple's performance as well.
I am almost done with this show and I really agree with what you said about the crown prince. Like I was SERIOUSLY ROOTING for him, I was READY to be his NUMBER ONE fan and I was soo EXICITED to be getting the crown prince of my dreams but then he showed his true colors and I was constantly berating myself for even having the idea to support him lmao. But I think he did have a nuanced storyline in the end, won't spoil to much but the attention is really given to the wives.
Right? He could have been a male lead to root for. Anyway, I'll be looking forward to how they handle his ending :D
you should watch Princess Royal, not to mention the same servant for the guy and the servants rule also there.
I've been away from some time and I'm binge watching all your videos and the ranting of the last episode of Rise OTP is the best... I haven't watch the drama but now I want to just to see these 3 together 😂😂😂
um IDK if you take show recommendations, but I've always wanted to hear your thoughts on The Legend of Minglan if you can. It's probably my most watched and loved period drama if not Chinese drama ever. I hope you find the time to watch it someday. I'm sure you'll be up for a treat

Might want to check their website. But I just looked and on the CZcams channel I don't know why I can't find the "Basically" for the Story of Minglan. It's my favorite period drama. They definitely made a video.
YES 100%!!! it starts of slow in the beginning but once you start getting into the episodes you'll see what masterpiece it is

I couldn't finish it this drama. After the elder brother got severed, I didn't see the need to discover the younger one as the true villain. It felt unnecessary to me.
TROP will never let you go, at this point should we reach out to creative team and discussion about it? Or maybe a fan made edit to fix it. It work for Kingdom of Heaven. (so many disappointed people on that one)
