Finally some good video from unity in a while
This was great, thanks!
Thanks!
More talks like this please! irronically game devs are terrible at understanding the meta of game development.
Welcome to reality
Fake advertising must be stopped. Google and Apple must create a rule that advertising must be similar to game content. I think EU will the one who will enforce it. Why do you want to cheat players. It is a bit shame actually.
Just disallow chinese ads.
That title though. Man, no thanks, I'd like my game to be a game, please. Business on top of it, yeah. But turning games into businesses turns gamers into customers turns art into a product turns happyness into money.
What do you mean ? I am passionate about game making but i also want to be rich. What is the issue with money ?
if i wanted to be a penniless artist id write a book. much less work than gamedev. (at least in the technical sense)
So do you want to release your games for free? Speak for yourself
I'm not saying all our games should be free. Just "turning the game into a business" is a choice of words that I find kind of telling.@@TESkyrimizer
But you need a balance, man, lest you will make something no one will see (if you give it 0 business vision)
I'm happy that Unity's maintainer is making an effort to help developers using this tool in their endeavors like no other. But there is fear that drunken CEOs will tax again in a way that is unfeasibly not worth it.
I downloaded some game maker apps but I haven't started
So?
