When someone is pregnant and goes through 9 months of hell which disfigures the female body forever, then spends the following few years of doing the bulk in raising children, why should they go to the male? It's straight up biological facts that fathers on average simply don't provide an adequate role.
Shelters for women... yeah, sure wonder. Ever considered they're physically inferior? Basic biology. Any male, no matter how weak, can inflict a shit ton of damage to any woman while the opposite doesn't apply at all. "Males suffering" lmao. While domestic abuse happens to both sides and that's also important to remember, female victims outnumber male victims by a long shot.
Oh, and oppression in current western society? Look no further, you got it right in the US with your abortion ban. It literally reduces women to incubators forced to gestate any birth unwanted children. And again, pregnancy and birth cripple the body irreparably, society just likes to gloss over it.
I don't see any males facing this much discrimination solely due to their biological sex. You're reducing women's struggles and trivialize it by strawman arguments. This is misogyny.

It is important to understand that the word "equal" is misused in the
society in general. "Equal" does not mean "identical". Originally,
"equality" meant that women should have the same legal rights than man
has in the society, that is, women are equal in front of the law. These
days people are so confused, they think that "equal" means "identical".
These are two different words with two different meanings. Man and
woman are not IDENTICAL and they should be EQUAL in front of law.
Unfortunately, in modern society woman now have legal rights that men do
not have, so equality in front of law does not take place in modern
society. In the legal system men are now oppressed. Indeed, they are.
Another important thing, men and woman ARE NOT enemies nor are they
supposed to be enemies. They are supposed to fulfill each others lives
and form families (I do not say to form a marriage, but to form a
family, be careful there) and both are needed in order to rise healthy
sane kids. This does not take place anymore in our society. A healthy
society regenerates itself by giving birth to new babies, an unhealthy
society stops breeding. So, who is doing this to us?

True human equality can’t be reached unless we push women, POC, LGBT+ people and poor people up to a white cis man’s level. After that, then it can be completely equal for everyone. That what this video is even saying. It’s not siding with the 4 wave feminist saying we need to push men to what a woman’s level is right now and raise women to what a man’s level is right now so men and women are swapped, it’s saying we need to make sure that all people are pushed to be on the same level as straight white cis men are on right now.

For example,if a women hits/abuses a man for no serious reason it won't be a big deal for other people. But if a man reacts back or hits the woman in self defense then other people will blame the man not the woman.
If a woman, sexually abuses a man and the man calls the police, they won't even care but if it was the woman who got sexually abused, then the police would come to arrest the man.
Like jobs and financial ranks aren't the only thing that makes equality.Everyone should be equal.if a woman hits man for no reason then the man hitting her back shouldn't be a big deal since if a man hit a woman, she would hit her back as if it was a small thing.we need equality in *EVERYTHING*

My issue is when gender roles are rigid and enforced with little no no flexibility. To use an ancient example, while men hunting and women gathering is understandable as a tendency, both sexes should still share each ithers traits at least to some extant. Like, a man occasionally gathering if he is not feeling up to hunt (he could be sick, tired, wanting to pace himself, etc.) or if he comes across some food during a hunt. A woman who gathers may want to have a weapon for defense or to take down smaller game.
In a modern context, men and women have a good chance of needing to work and take care of social aspects.
Men and women may have difference in tendencies, but they must know when and how to tackle a variety of situations themselves.

    • @nbagoats4819
      @nbagoats4819 Před rokem

@@cadethumann8605 I agree to a point. The 2 genders were destined to be together and through that arrangement they tackle things together as a body or as one flesh. Not saying that a woman should be helpless when it comes to the natural duties of a man, however it should be a second nature and not her primary goal of responsibility.
There are women who mistakenly desire to grab the sword. Doesn't mean that they wield it as well as a man. Women who do often end up in a ball crying their eyes out from whatever trial they just faced on their own. A woman's tendency is to run and sound the alarm (scream) which is her natural tendency when there is danger. A man's natural tendency is to conquer and if necessary destroy. This is why the 2 are destined to be stronger together than apart. They serve each other's weaknesses.
Any single parent would tell you how beneficial it would be to have an opposite sex partner even tho they're "winging" it on their own. Every boy needs a father just as every girl needs a mother. Just because they may be enduring without one or the other doesn't mean there is no need to be met.

    I've typed the transcript:
Gender inequality doesn't make sense on any level. By marginalizing the rights of women
we deny ourselves the opportunity to lift millions of men, women and children out of poverty not to mention the chance of a just and fair world. From birth, girls and boys, women and men expected by society to play certain roles and behave in certain ways based on traditions, religion and other beliefs. These behaviours are learned and shape the gender norms in a society. Unfortunately in many countries gender norms create disadvantages for women. Often, girls are not sent to school. When they become women, they then have limited ability to earn and money all realize their potential. Rural women play a major role in agricultural development;however, in many developing countries women cannot formally own land. Without land, women cannot gain loans to invest in their farms and businesses. This also means they have no control over the use of land or the benefits that come from it. Men generally control the household decisions, like how to use the family’s assets. These disadvantages are often reinforced by practices that limit women's access to services like training. Cultural beliefs can also restrict women's opportunities, such as in parts of Zambia where women cannot paddle their boats as it is considered a bad omen. The results of these issues? Women remain poor and agricultural production cannot reach its potential, perpetuating poverty and hunger in the developing world. The social norms that limit women's opportunities need to be understood and then changed. By taking a gender transformative approach, we can influence social norms and bridge the gaps in access to resources and services between men and women in a lasting manner. Change is needed on many levels and both men and women must be involved for it to happen.Research and development organizations need to invest in programs that promote gender equality alongside improving productivity and income. Policies need to be implemented increasing access to services and resources. Communities need to support women as farmers and and as leaders.Increasing women’s voice and agency is a valuable end in its own right. When development organisations, policies and communities support the success of women, we have a chance to reduce extreme poverty and boost for girls and boys, women and men, around the world.

+Diana Powell I agree with a lot of what the video is attempting to explain in a benign format; nothing wrong with the assertions and suggestions made to my mind.
However, "...From birth, girls and boys, women and men expected by society to play certain roles and behave in certain ways based on traditions, religion and other beliefs. These behaviours are learned and shape the gender norms in a society...." this is a gross simplification and has been tested to be largely untrue.
Nothing is ever black and white and girls by nature like to nurture and boys like to take risks. There are some exceptions to this rule (subject to balances of oestrogen/testosterone levels) but by and large "boys will be boys and girls will be girls".
Pernicious Western feminists pushed this argument very hard until it ran out of steam due to obvious conclusions drawn from suitably managed and controlled observation of boys and girls over a long period of time.
The issue of equality is one of balance; don't let the pendulum swing too far from one side to the other. Western feminists seem bent on a revenge motive and that helps nobody; Africa can learn from our poor politically correct and gender equality mistakes, underpinned by a naive legal system.

Women are disadvantaged in many, ways, particularly in poorer countries, but also in rich nations. This is a fact, and a huge injustice.
We live in a gender-unequal world, where women have less voice, power, health, opportunities and choices than men - why wouldn't this video focus on that?

    She4He
There's been a lot of talk about feminism and how it is a movement for equality between the sexes but little actual focus on the issues that men face.
This is probably because many people don't understand how they can help men. How to support them yet not speak over them when discussing their experiences.
To this end I have decided to create a new campaign called She4He that will help women be better allies to men. As I feminist I'm also hoping that this will rescue the word 'feminist' from the toxic, sexist conertations that it has had for so long.
It IS about equality so lets make it so.
I'm starting a list of issues that we need to address:
    1. Equal access to higher education - the removal of female-only funding of degrees and the commencement of positive affirmation schemes where boys have partial or total access to support until the gender ratios are equal.
    2. Early education - urgent addressing of the lack of male role models in schools. Male teachers should be given absolute priority during recruitment (again until the gender ratios have been equalized)
    3. Equal sentencing - as feminists we must demand that women receive equally custodial sentences as men. Without changes like this our claim that feminism is about equality is just a joke - we need to face up to this

    The speech of this video
Gender inequality doesn’t make sense on any level by marginalizing the rights of women we deny ourselves the opportunity to millions of men, women, and children out of poverty not to mention the chance of a just and fair world from birth girls and boys women and men are expected by society to play certain rales and behave in certain ways based on traditions and other beliefs these behaviors are learned and shaped the gender norms in a society unfortunately in many countries gender norms create disadvantages for women often girls are not sent to school when they become women they then have limited ability to earn money or realize their potential rural woman play a major role in agriculture development however in many developing countries women cannot formally own land without land they cannot get loans to invest in their farms or businesses this also means they have no control over the use of land or the or the benefits that come from it men generally control the household decisions like how to use the families assets these disadvantages are often reinforced by practices this limit women access to services like training cultural beliefs and also restrict women’s opportunities such as in parts of Zambia where women cannot paddle their as it is considered bad omen the results of these issues women remain poor and agricultural production cannot reach its potential perpetuating poverty and hunger in the developing world the social norms that limit women’s opportunities need to be understood and then changed by taking a gender transformative we can influence social norms and bridge the gaps in access to resources and services between men and women in a lasting manner change is needed on many levels and both men and women must be involved for it to happen research and development organizations needs in invest in programs that promote gender equality alongside improving productivity and incomes policies need to be implemented that increases women’s access to services and resources communities need to support women as farmers and as leaders increasing women’s voice and agency is a valuable end in its own right when development organizations policies communities support the success of women we have a chance to reduce extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity for girls and boys, women and men around the world.

I saw few comments ranting about their personal experience hitting on each other and etc, I was triggered or traumatized (?) by certainty of violence particularly when it comes to someone's gender, age, ethic or anything else makes someone's different from the others. but I begged, gender equality doesn't support abusing based on gender as while the concept of equality. gender equality is acceptance and a practical of kindness regardlessly. in conclusion, whenever or whatever happened to you, **DON'T** fight back as if you do think it's risky and affected on someone's life. think a little bit about someone's whole entire life, it could affected them the same result.

I am 74-years old, and a retired rock musician, having toured the entire country. I have lived through everything from the civil rights movement, to the Free Love and the LSD years of the Swingin' Sixties, to Women's Lib, and even burned my draft card during the Vietnam War, fully willing to face the consequences of that. Many of my best friends are black, gay and lesbian. But I have to voice my complaint about what's happening today, *right here, right now.*
Every freaking time I see a TV commercial, there always HAS to be a black person, an Asian person, and now they're even trying to squeeze in an Indian or two. Just recently I've seen commercials with drag queens as their featured performers, and if I want to see that, I can just watch RuPaul. The whole genre has become so politicized and created to appeal to "total equality" that it has become a genre in itself... and quite frankly, I'm getting SICK of it. The truth is, there has NEVER been complete equality in this, or any other country. And now, they're trying to totally ELIMINATE all gender classifications. You can actually be PUBLICLY HUMILIATED for calling someone a "waiter or waitress," or a female actor an "actress." Not only is this petty bullshit getting on my last nerve, but it has NOTHING to do with actual gender equality, but only "political correctness," which I find to be gag-inducing nonsense of the highest order. I don't care WHAT bathroom someone wants to use, or who is banging who. In my opinion, these are strictly personal concerns, and no one, especially no GOVERNMENT has any right to compress us into their own, little boxes. Now, the Chairman, I mean... Chair PERSON of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, is actively promoting voting to eliminate the words, "Father," "Mother," "Grandfather," and "Grandmother" from the English language!!! This is clearly pathological insanity, and I cannot support it. The implications of it would create such useless division and mindless aberration in society as to be political suicide.
I believe that everyone has the God given right to do, or be, anyone they want to be. But that doesn't give ANYONE the right to shove it in my face, constantly and without let up. Whatever anyone wants to do behind their bedroom door is their business, but I don't want it to be MINE. It's time for us to get back to normal, whatever that once was.

The problems with gender inequality exists in the developed countries too. How can there be gender equally when “The Old Boys’ Network” is firmly established around the world? The overwhelming vast majority of males control government, military, sports, religion and all aspects of society; especially jobs. If the majority of males were heterosexual, they would want to co-work with females and share hobbies and sports that would include them. Also, sadly, many women acquiesce to male-domination and accept their inferior situational status because they want marriage and children. It has been a misogynistic world since antiquity and continues to be aside from a facade of tokenism that politics and money create. I am a senior citizen, and I have felt held-back, wasted, devalued, etc. ever since I was a little girl.

why do people state what men mostly control or major in, just think about it say there a jordan(male) and a emily(female) the men decides to go into goverment and so does the female, jordan(male) sucedes into getting into the goverment and the emily(female) dosent. That isnt inequality its just that that jordan(male) spends more time and he put in more effort than emily (female) and lets say that it was inequality at play here which is possible and happens. it doesent help to say or state out that just because there is a vast majority of men that control the goverment that thats inequlity that isnt inequality but what inequality is that sometimes because of inequality woman miss the chance of getting into the goverment, know thats what we are supposed to be adressing not that most people in the goverment are men.

@@maxlast5420 Overall, females earn just 81.4% the amount their male counterparts make, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Men do earn more than women on average, but not that much more when they work the same job and they have similar experience and abilities as in government, however, most women are limited to jobs. For example, I was a teacher and a male student who dropped out of school visited me. He was a local truck driver who was making a lot more money than I was teaching.
In short, most women are limited to jobs whereby men can be plumbers, electricians, contractors, etc. There are a low percentage of women who pursue these jobs but not many because of the social stigma. If a woman digs a hole with a shovel, paints a house, drives a tractor, etc. there is an instant attack on her sexuality; yet, if a man cooks, designs dressers, or becomes a hairdresser, there is a social acceptance that he must be great in that field even though those occupations are dominated by women.
Conditioning of males and females starts even as toddlers. The interesting and thought-provoking toys like erectors sets, race cars, etc. are made for boys while dolls, playing house, etc. for girls. Even in elementary school through high school, boys get a head start by being groomed to play sports like football which promotes their superiority. All sports should not be gender-bias just like a lot of jobs, but they are. Sirena Williams and Brittany Griner could easily play football, but the male dominated social norm will not permit sports to be decided by body build and capability. In 1972, a woman was allowed in run a marathon and today, a new study that tracked ultramarathon running times worldwide over two decades found that women tend to outrun men, after 195 miles. On average, women are 0.6% faster than men during super-long races that stretch towards (and beyond) the 200-mile mark. Estrogen likely plays a key role in giving women an advantage at such long distances.
In my life, I feel wasted and held-back in many ways. When I graduated college with a Humanities degrees, I ended up working in factories, 7/11, etc. when I secured a teaching job after a 2-yr. student teacher program, the job was almost two hours away from my home. Anyway, many people discover that a good education does not get you a good job; it’s who you know, luck or having money in your family. Mostly upper-class people get the government jobs, become doctors, lawyers, etc. because if you have a lot of money then you are not discriminated against based on sex, age, race, religion, etc.

I am a teenager and wonder at times that why a women has to lower her voice in front of a man. In India not only gender equality needs to be achieved but family equality is also very important. After the marriage, 89% of women do not have access to their bank account details and they don't even know which money is being deposited and used for expenditure. If equality in terms of gender can be achieved then we can eradicate the inequalities in terms of race, economical status and so many other things.

    • @yourfellowhuman7710
      @yourfellowhuman7710 Před 2 lety

Your statement is quite contradictory because equality of opportunities literally means that everyone will have the chance to try at anything but it doesn't guarantee that they will succeed. For example there are Formula 1 drivers which are at the top of their game but there are also drivers not as good. That doesn't mean that people can't try and become drivers, no matter if they are man or woman, it just means that hierarchies will be created and that way everyone gets what they want and deserve. So yes we should accept the difference that’s going to appear in the results of each field. :)
