Did you test their screen with an OS? Late 2013/Mid 2014 screens will display picture/have backlight with 2015 MLB but not until about 75% of boot, which explains why you did not get any question mark folder :)

I just thought about the fact that apple cited environmental impact as a reason for not switching from lightning ports, but that just led me to the thought that couldn't they just do some sort of smaller scale trade-in program for sustainability, similar to how they do trade-ins with the iPhone, the only issue is that it would be locked to first party chargers, which let's be honest most people have one or two, if that and then mainly generic put on English perspective it might make apple look good and like they're actually trying. I was just looking for too better than the one that they gave doesn't really seem as stupid as what they initially said, and their reasoning behind it.
LOUIS, UNDERSTAND THIS: i KNOW WHAT ur goin through sucks, I felt that when u said it, they HAVE NO IDEA the caliber of person they're attacking with that audit, and that's what it is, AN ATTACK, try to stay positive brother, the people and ur fans are behind you.. Not really sure where else to post/ask this question but trying to get my mums MacBook Pro retina late 2013 to work properly. So far done and reset and all the other bits, works perfectly fine in safe mode as it should but however on startup it freezes on the login screen, I’ve erased and done fresh reinstall of the os and checked health of the ssd and still freezing on login. However when I have it connected via hdmi to a tv or monitor before I turn it on it boots up and I can log in just fine and do everything up until I take out the hdmi cable and it freezes not long afterwards. I have had a look inside and under the logic board but nothing is quite apparent in terms of corrosion or missing components to my limited experience. So far all I have been able to find anywhere anything close to this is something to do with u9750 but not sure how to check if it’s bad

Florida is unbelievably better than New York. I was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, then moved to Merritt Island, Florida and my life has gotten 50 fold better. Sure, there are bad parts of Florida, but if you live in central Florida then you’ll be positioned to take advantage of the nearby cities like Miami; Tampa, Jacksonville, etc. Cost of living is wayyyy cheaper than New York.
P.S. - The only realistic threat is hurricane season
Hi can any help me? I have an macbook pro A1708. When i try to boot it the back lights are on but no display. I connected it to external monitor and its fine. fans also normal. I’ve never dropped it sor soaked it before. the problem occured when using the labtop. the screen first froze then bradually turned black. and the display was gone since then. Is it possible for third-party repair providers to repair the internal Webcams of iMac, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air?
I'm translating a guide on troubleshooting the Mac's Webcam/internal camera and it mentions that if the Hardware physically breaks on these your "only options" are to go to "qualified repair technicians" ( or using an external camera )
Of course I have no clue if this is actually true, and in any case I put a slight modification on the translation to turn it into "sufficiently qualified repair technician" instead :-)
I do now wonder if it's actually possible to *repair* those, instead of replacing them.- For third party repair anyways.

What's the biggest reason for screens getting all crusty and scratched up? Biggest fear for me is I won't drop it or scratch it but still get random scratches... any tips to prevent damage to screen? Should you have a solid computer case? Or just clean off screen every time before closing
As long as there's dust in the air, there WILL be micro scratches on any screen for that matter... The best way to remedy is to get a very good quality matte display film for your display and have it applied by a PROFESSIONAL... Screens are delicate and if you mess it up, your wallet is screwed... so to make the display more legible and also to prevent scratches to the main display glass, have the film applied, let the film get scratched up and after a few years have a new film reapplied...
The reason for small and random scratches is that there are small, tiny particles in the air, they might not be visible but they are present, when you use a towel to wipe the display, instead of the particles being lifted off the surface, they sometimes rub against the glass and that's why you see random tiny scratches on displays...
The same applies to phones, the reason you see phones being scratched up even without fall damage is that your fingers are rubbing the particles against the glass while you scroll/use your finger and also due to the small particles being caught in your jeans pocket

That's usually the case in blue states. Friend of mine ran a business in Massachusetts for 30 years, no problems. Ever. 3 months after putting a Trump sign in his shop window (back in 2016) he got audited, then again in 2019. You can't make this stuff up.
