The Owners must all have their offices on the top of the Empire State Building where the air is ultra refined and disassociated with reality given what they see is the problem of vacant space. Nice repair job! You may make it look as if it was an easy thing, but it's not... unless someone reaches that level of skill where a mere look at the board and possibly a few measurements are enough to diagnose the problem correctly.

i don't remember if Louis has answered this question before, but why doesn't he ultrasonic clean all the hair and nasty stuff off of the board before repair? Is it because it could lower the ease of finding the problem? or maybe boards can only be cleaned so many times so doing it only once is the best practice? Thanks in advance for any responses :)
I don't know the exact reason why he doesn't do this, but if some tiny, damaged or solder melted component is hanging in the board by a thread, the ultra would shave it off right away.

Did you try offering some incentive to your guys to do the vids? Nothing crazy but something nice especially if you can personalize it, meaning different incentive tailored to the guy that you want to do a vid.

I find it troublesome that they don't have any kind of corrosion resistance built into their boards. 99% of this type of repair would be a thing of the past if the board had a conformal coating on it. You can basically dip the whole thing in water and it won't short out with this stuff on it.
Cost and heat. I think that stuff creates thermal build up. Could be engineered to be right but its Apple.

not in the trade but had an i phone problem , battery related and basic tools. apple wanted over 100 pounds uk just to look at it , i thought what the hell given ive seen your vids. and fixed it myself for about 9 dollars us and came with the drivers. battery expanding... nothing major to you guys but never removed an i phone screen and got inside one . always been android until the smasung went belly up . got given the iphone 8 , ebay battery kit . 10min fix for what they wanted a lot of money fr . bit of coomon sense and research job sorted out . perfect now ... well apart from being apple ....
oh was told unrepairable ... due to the screen being pushed but not broken. no thought for the price of a burger ill take the risk . and very satisfying to do it . hardest part was getting the damn glued in battery out but it came out eventualy with a spudger
