i'm looking forward to seeing the build from the ground up. once i see how to do it, i'll be converting my collection of guns, there is something like 20 ranging from arcade guns (shotguns &c) and gun cons and clones. i'm just in the process of ordering a solder station and some other stuff today. i've been putting it off for far to long.

I bought one off ebay not doing enough research and the seller provided me with no license file and if he is unwilling to give me it am I just screwed then? I bought this expensive gun off the guy and he does not feel the need to mention id have to spend 30 dollars just for a license for the GUI that sucks compared to aimtrak. Then the ir sensors are 50 dollars like damn son.

Another great tutorial! At what temperature and solder do you use? I keep burning out the mosfet when I install it.
I set my soldering iron to 450C. Sorry it took so long to respond. Is it melting the mosfet? I had a similar issue with my buttons on the side of my gun.
@@ArcadePirate No worries. You are still my favorite Pirate ❤️ I was able to figure it out. The lowest temp I can flow with the solder I’m using is at 540F. I’m assuming you meant Fahrenheit not Celsius. What solder do you use? I had trouble having the solder flow. I don’t know if it had to do with the type of metal the mosfet has. I ended up using a wire for each prong to improve the flow. It worked! Thanks for getting back to me 😘

Hi could I just ask is that solenoid running off usb from the arduino? I saw it was a 12v 1A solenoid that's all so wasn't sure how it was getting enough power without damaging the arduino thanks :)
Edit- actually I think I am a deeply stupid person. It looks like the 12v power supply is wired into the circuit board and the arduino will run off an external 5v power supply yet unseen, as the video just uses a PC to test it. I think that's correct 🤔

@Arcade Pirate, I am beating my head against the wall at this point. I followed this to the T for the board, but I am using an Arduino Micro, and can not get the recoil to work. Will this method work with the new 2.64 fw? and if so, can you tell me what pin to put the green wire to? I have tried D16, led flashes on the board, but nothing happens.

My recoil solenoid stop working after a few seconds I plug power to solenoid, I noticed that the MOSFET gets really hot is there an alternative that I can use
