I got there in the end, great video but yes proper ballache at first. Worth it once done though.
The Sinden guy should do a deal with Namco so we can play Time Crisis games on modern TVs.

Wowzers!!! What a game changer, I’ll be keeping my eye on this, at the moment I would get too frustrated with the set up I think as I’m not great with computers…..big screen light guns is a ver intriguing prospect tho 🤔. I have a huge passion for lightguns, I have my own time crisis and gcon retrospective vid coming out this evening. I caved and got myself a crt a while back and I’m really pleased……..won’t last forever tho.
When it’s set up right it works really well. When I get a bit of time I’m going to get a nice collection of games an systems set up, you’ll have to come round and have a go!
Great review! Still on the fence for a bit to see if a new hardware revision comes out while they fix the software end of things, but it seems like it’s not necessary

I have two of these but it always takes a while to set up and get going. Its a great piece of kit but wish it was a tad easier to get going. Mister support with something plug and play would be ace
Yeah, I’ve got the setup down now for the most part, Dolphin has been a nightmare though. Just can’t get Wii dialled in at all
Same experience; after months trying to get it, because of mail delivery issues, when i got it it was so much that i tried to make it work. Of course the first emulator worked fine (NES) but everything else was a problem 😄
In the Rpi4 i was able to make it work fine, but with daylight; anything darker and the thing behaves like there is a bee inside.
What you say is true for 1 player. It is another thing configuring 2 guns specially outside of MAME emulator games. Hours of nightmares …
I bought a retrolizard ir gun box and a sinden light gun. I hope these work together as advertised.

@HarEllis6202 yeah they did. Aquick way around is to make a GCon 2 adapter, but ofc need a way to draw boarder.

Mine came in a few days ago and I can definitely say for sure 100% it's been worth the hassle of setting it up but when it works IT WORKS. But please for the love of God I don't understand why it works in RetroArch for my Sega Saturn games but I can't get it to work for psx games. . Or as a zapper . X.x

My Time Crisis Guns Stopped Working With My New Modern Tv Set 2021
so WHEN DO DEVELOPERS START CREATING LIGHTGUN GAMES AGAIN???
I really need your help here, I've gone through all mediums, when I load up a rom game as soon as I do that the game just ignores the lightgun ever exists, I've got it set up and working b ut as soon as I play time crisis for example on launchbox or retro arch there's no border and none of the buttons work, what am I supposed to do here?
you have to try coin ops next the archs light gun pack.
I’ll take a look. I usually avoid pre compiled installs but would be an easy way to get everything in one go… stay tuned

Where can I get this, living in Portugal?
I lacked the fortitude to get this to work on anything. But maybe one day these will be backed in with hardware emulators for high end retro machines, or whatever replaces them.
Try Batocera. It works great out of the box with that.

I haven’t had a chance to try yet, although I believe Batocera has built-in support for Sinden so that’ll likely be the direction I’ll go in

good evening everyone here I would like to give my opinion on a subject that makes perfect sense to me I would like to say that if there is someone who can make a core of the neogeo cd so that we can play the games with more quality and also the games that will be exclusive type Samurai Shodown Rpg so if anyone here can start a patreon campaign or something it would be vital for the mister fpga community to have this beautiful gift with the best audio quality for neogeo cd and this is my love letter to neogeo cd thank you very much and if if there is a way to spread this love letter please don't stop doing it it's something everyone loves snk neogeo thank you so much...

can you play this on a projection screen?
I believe you can. RMC has done a video demonstrating it. The recommended distance is 2x the diagonal, so the larger you go the farther away you’ll need to be. This is to enable the camera to always have a view of the screen border. If it can’t see the border it won’t know where you’re pointing. Hope that helps.
I rly want a couple of these or Gun4ir, but these are reallyyyyyyyyyyyyy pricey for Brazil =/
For me to drop an entire brazilian monthly minnimum wage sallary on a couple of these Ive gotta be sure theyre gonna work proper for me.
It seems that it's basically just one guy in the UK responsible for it, and the price in the UK is very reasonable (the equivalent of 1 day minimum wage pay) with quick shipping time if you're in the UK and much longer the further away you are. Hopefully in the future they find a way to make it more available globally, it would obviously be beneficial to find a manufacture in different regions rather than personally shipping everything from one island in Europe, but unfortunately its still a small company with limitations.
Just the idea that Sinden guns are now cost 3 times less than a Gun4IR says a lot of it's lost of popularity.
I'd rather stick with Sinden than have a ton of LEDs around my TV.
