Nice work at 6am., thanks.
The problem is how do you get those things without breaking other things?
Pottassium for example comes from dried apricots. But they're absolute sugar bombs with 150calories and 25% from sugar even in non added sugar ones.
Thank you!

Amen! Just recently discovered him!
I have very severe and aggressive arthritis; both knees, hips have been replaced, Iâve had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders and the arthritis is now moving to my fingers and back.
This summer beginning back in June I started my own version of Dr. Bergs diet and health tips. I completely stopped consuming anything with sugars and also began a plant based diet. Along with my diet I began a 2-4 hour/day workout program (yes, even with all those joint replacements Im still able to play a high level of tennis, cardio and weight training. Shortly thereafter I began the program I noticed the inflammation of my arthritic joints began to lessen. I was getting regular cortisone shots every 60 days in order to relieve a lot of that pain, yet I noticed I began cancelling my cortisone appointments as I wasnât hurting as much as in the past. Before I knew it I hadnât gone for any cortisone shots since JuneâŚweâre now in November. I truly believe there is a dramatic relationship between sugars and joint inflammation. Anyways in the 4 months of summer I lost 40 pounds and I truly believe that the stopping of sugar consumption literally relieved me of 99% of my joint inflammation!
Good for you đ I have arthritis in both hands and other places, neuropathy in my toes. I too do my own keto. 6 years ago I Stopped all prescriptions meds. Dr. Berg, I've been following you since the early days when you had like 30K subscribers. You take dietary information and put it into simple language that everyone can understand. That's one of the things that makes you so successful.
Agreed...GP's don't think independently. They are trained to just match a symptom to a medication. They don't use an investigative approach to find the root cause. They dont have time for that either. I basically come on this channel for cures. Helped me a lot. Appreciate it Dr Berg. :)
good for you ... keep it up
Maybe Gps should only take on a number of patients that they can handle, that way they can take better care of their paitents

I'm trying to cleanse my liver after years of eating unhealthy foods, including sugar, pasta, bread etc.
I have a lot of the symptoms that you describe in your video's.
My gp told me I have fatty liver disease and high cholesterol. Instead of advising me to change my diet, he was going to put me on statins. I said no, I'm not taking statins, I will change my diet and see if my results change. Thankfully, I came across Dr Berg's video about fatty liver disease. I am currently drinking lemon and ginger water every morning and taking milk thistle capsules every day and I've completely changed my diet. Thank you Dr Berg. I have learned more on this channel than I ever did at 'school'.
Are statins bad for your health? My Mom takes them, because her cardiologist told her to do so.
I've never found Dr.Berg to be wrong in 8 years of following him now because the NHS 'salespeople' never got the right diagnosis in 50 years of asking for help.

As Dr Berg explains in this video the colleges and high schools are only about forcing kids to memorize stuff and then see how well they memorized the material. That's the only reason I left the University after 3 years.... it was clear schools don't prepare you for the real world. I've been noticing that years before I found Dr. Berg.
Dr BergâŚ. The man who inspired a generation to really understand medicine and to look after their own health⌠a modern day hero..đ
It's a surprise that big pharma don't want to blaspheme him.
Dr. Berg is saving many lives with his information he gives us. So thankful that Dr. Berg cares to have a channel to tell us how to live healthy, most dr.s simply don't really care about patients and are just in the medical profession for the đ°.
Yes.. it's true
Unfortunately, you're delusional. Keto is a fad diet which helps no one. Always choose healthy carbs if you want optimal health and avoid ALL animal products. They are not food, they are violence disguised as food.
Just a thought for you Dr Berg, these are my observations. I m fifty. Grains and sugar are a big part of vegetarian diets. Till 20 years back, digesting them was never an issue. Of course I had health problems but no issues with grains dairy or sugars. Things started changing 20 years back. These foods were suddenly difficult to digest. I thought I had developed auto immune disorders. In the recent past I made changes in the food I was buying. Like, I moved to organic milk, cold pressed oils, and very recently I bought a different type of whole wheat flour. That is when I realised for the first time that this is how the flour was in my earlier years. Then I remembered that nowadays everything is GM, ie, genetically modified. It is this modification that our body kind of rejects. So my conclusion is that let's do things the way it was done by our ancestors. Right from timings to food combinations and especially farming methods. I think that is where the problem lies and not in all this medical guesswork that all doctors are up-to.
God made fruit, it cant be bad. People ate lots of bread in the Bible, its one of the most basic foods throughout history it cant be bad.
What can be is how they make it now!
Ezekiel brand bread, the best and the only bread you can get nowadays it's sprouted and it's made properly.
â@@scotth9828 Spot on! And as a vegetarian (not a vegan) I eat some carbs, and will look for good flour and make my own bread. Sugar, however, should be a no-no across the board.
@@juliaboente3740 My guess would be organic, non-gmo.

For me personally, probably the best episode yet, because it just touches on everything at the same time. Thank you Dr Berg, the information you put here on CZcams has helped me to lose more than 50 lbs and literally saved my life. I'm about to start another long term fast tomorrow, a good solid 7 days with only water, green tea, and supplements recommended by you. Can confirm: I went all-in with a keto diet, low to no carbs, 3 months ago, and I've dropped 30 lbs of fat so far and I love the healthy feeling so much that this eating habit has been easy to maintain. @@Soo_Blessed its true ....as of yet, i don't have the discipline to get to 50 grams of carbs; like Berg wants..but im comfortably under 100, and i dropped 20 lbs in a month
â@@swordsman3000One question. Exercise in moderation must be a good thing while doing Keto?
How do you give up potatoes? Baked or air fried are my favorite food.

@@Truth15freedom I think wisdom is the ability to digest and apply knowledge.
@@Truth15freedom you nailed it! That's why we homeschool and with a classical approach. Learning to memorize is key, but that's not understanding. It's just info. The layers of application need to be applied. People need lots of memorization from a young age as it's good for the brain, but then as we get older we discuss what's been memorized and why, then later we can synthesize our own thoughts- hopefully with wisdom.
Imagine this method being in you since age 5... it would be ludicrous to just treat people with a memorized list... or treat any part of life without independent thinking. Our education system- even medical school- sadly produces list makers, not makers of life.
Much like learning about real nutrition and health here, homeschooling has been our way of unplugging from the broken machine and thriving with real knowledge!
Dr. Berg has been part of our homeschool for Science and Health. My 12 year old now knows more about esting for healthier liver function than what my primary doctor shares.

Yes. As a graduate of US MD allopathic med school, I agree with your opening reflections. Americans need to take their health back.
Which is why theyâre now using climate change as the newest excuse to remove foods we need like meat & eggs. The goal is that everyone is either sick mentally or physically⌠just look at the people at the grocery store: how they look vs what they buy vs how they think vs what they believe. Thank you Dr. Berg. Excellent info and videos as always! I have several bookmarked to watch over the course of the next couple of weeks. I SO appreciate what you do and how you do it!
I was a blind person 2 years ago, still very aware of mistakes, this tells me I was a product of what Iâve seen growing up. Lots of nonsense! Very confusing life! I knew nothing more than to do negativity. All I needed was a lead, I had already been seeking answers for myself in late teens, but of course I was prescribed meds that never worked ever. When I caught on to some patterns they lead to other things which did not stop. My life flipped a complete 180. Eventually my life was the opposite, literally. I didnât realize how tough itâs been until I understood what was keeping my energy down, I thought it was just life but I always knew there was more, this couldnât be life. Since then Iâve gone MIA from the world and began to educate myself everyday, in the midst I realize Iâve always had diabetes my whole adult life which explains much, especially because I watched my dad stab himself in the abdomen scaring friends away. I put an end to the hereditary addiction of sugar/carbs and unhealthy way of thinking(which determines pretty much your quality of life) itâs been dramatic with others accepting me and their obvious jealousy and my stress dealing with âloveâ or I should say trauma bond! But what keeps me going are the many barriers overcame and meaningful moments that Iâm okay with experiencing them alone. Thank you Dr. Berg. Anyone trying to help themselves, take the time to watch these videos. Get your life back.
Hope ur OK now đ

Oh my gosh! I had no idea that when potassium is low, your heart rate goes higher and that sugar lowers potassium! This explains why my heart beats crazy fast when I splurge and eat junky food! It's so frustrating, and I've always wondered what's wrong with me. Maybe I'm late in the game realizing that, but that makes so much sense.
Excellent as always, thanks! You are looking very healthy! God bless you & your good works
Thank you so much Dr Berg, the content you provide here is invaluable. I agree with you 100% as regards to memorising as opposed to learning and critical thinking, well said Doc.
I loveeeeee this channel sm!!! I can not stay away from this channel for a full 24 hours!!
I was in top shape and health before diagnosed with CML (chronic myeloid leukemia) and I am 284 days from a Bone Marrow Transplant. I am cancer free , still healing but feeling good. But through all this I had to eat things I hardly ever ate, pasta, bread, dairy etc. My pill consumption is crazy so food to help with nausea. My medications raised my Triglycerides plus all the carbs and menopause.....it's a lot. But I was a dancer and athlete so I can finally walk 3-4 times a week and other assorted exercises. I took out sugar and most carbs from my diet, it's been a week. In two months I will be off most of my medications and do a cleanse from all the chemo. Do you have any advice for people who have been through cancer?? Thank you for your dedication in informing people.
I totally agree what you said about learning versus memorizing.
Finally something I can do, I was told pre-diabetes and to work out but nothing else to do. You have shared some things that I can do now.
Dr. Berg is always adapting and evolving in his knowledge. Blessed to have to found this channel, thank you sir~
Loving your introduction regarding (self-)education.
As soon I heard that you went to Chiropractic School, I began to trust that you know what you are talking about. Working with DCs for nearly 10 years I was so impressed with the constant health and nutritional education they receive and are required to continue taking as things are always changing. Comparing that to the amount of nutritional education MDs receive, it is huge! There is definately a requirement for medical professionals, but I never get my nutritional information from them.
a MD doctor friend once told me they had a few afternoon classes on nutrition, that was all, very very little.
*The tips and strategies shared here on how to block the side effects of carbs are incredibly helpful. I appreciate the emphasis on balance and finding ways to minimize the impact of occasional carb consumption. Thank you for sharing this valuable information* đ
Thank God!!!! đđ˝â¤ď¸ for Dr. Berg and his research!! Awesome information right at our back door! So grateful to have this man in my life and the lives of many with what he teaches and the education heâs shared! đđ˝đđ˝đđ˝ I love sharing your information sir!â¤
Thank you Doctor. After I came across your videos I started Intermittent fasting to get rid of my fibroids, and it is really helping. I am still learning the foods I can eat and which ones to avoid. Thank you for your videos in connection with fibroids. Would you be willing to do some more videos for women like myself with the issue of fibroids. I am truly grateful for your channel.
I havenât seen the video on fibroids, but serrapeptase is supposed to help with that issue.
@@davidbillyard6629 thank you very much for your comment, I Will look that up. đ
I canât help but thanking you Dr. Berg! So much insights not just from drugs!
Covered many great key concepts and key words. This is a very important video. Thank you!
I wish all doctors were actually saving lives like Dr.Berg!! Thank you so much for all the information.
Thank you Dr Eric Berg for all these medical learnings. I praise God for blessing us a doctor who spends time to share his knwledge to us all.
God bless you immensely for all that you dođâ¤ď¸
Thanks for all that you do to educate us!
You are so right about college and learning information, that's another topic all on it's own, would love to see You do a video about this.
Awesome video! Thanks for all the info. I'm currently on a statin and an acid blocker. Looking to get off both of those. I'm 55 and post meno, and in July I decided to get serious because I was the heaviest I've ever been and nothing seemed to be working! Have lost 17# so far with 16/8 fasting - some days longer, some days shorter, mainly veggies and proteins. Love, love huge salads, in fact, I now crave them. I had a rare donut the other morning (co-worker b-day), and I felt bad for at least an hour. Like I could feel it traveling through my veins. lol I had some chlorella tablets and took a couple of those along with water. Didn't think about potassium. Will remember that for the future. I also just started adding cinnamon to my coffee as I understand it also reduces LDL. It's still hovering around 101. Probably because of my cheese addiction. lol

LDL isnât necessarily bad. Have your doctor do a detailed, lipid profile. Also, if your HDL is high, which it will tend to be with keto look at the ratio between your HDL and LDL it might surprise you.
Any bread or pasta is like taking a sleeping pill for me! I cant function and feel so tired. Thanks Dr. Berg. I definitely feel better when I dont eat sugar, pasta, rice and bread.
Ate two large homemade pizzas yesterday and I slept as If I'd taken morphium đ
Me too!
I eat all 4 daily, but my biggest âcheatâ is fasting & exercise. I just have to make sure I replenish the stuff that gets depleted as a result.
@@JACKPOTTT777 I love my pizza! I made two homemade ones yesterday, but luckily my boys came over and ate most of them.
Eating Bread definately affects the brain
Dr Berg, I totally agree with you about med school and what the majority of doctors are like! I went back to school and I kid not, right after graduating, just beginning new career, and I got sick, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, neurological problems, and arthritis, these things gradually in order, over the past 10 years, and I couldn't believe how bad things are until I myself became a patient. In fact, there's things I've learned from you to help and I am thankful for your continuing research and sharing how we care get well and prevent illness. â¤
Dr. Berg..you are the best and you have changed our outlook to food and lifestyle. Thank you so muchđ
Omg! it's now 6 a.m in my country and last night I went to bed thinking I'll research what happens when you eat carbs or sugar when dieting and doing intermittent fasting. I recently began (my 10th day) and cheated a couple times. I had honey and my sugar level went very low then I had coconut bake(flour) and had excruciating headaches. Thank you sooo much Dr. Berg for always being here for us. You're the bestđ¤
I am being treated for Complex PTSD due to severe trauma suffered, naturally IBS, cortisol and other symptoms ruled my life for a long while.
Thanks to your videos I have managed to get my bowel back to a normal daily function, the cortisol has subsided substantially and anxiety has become a lot more manageable with less spikes and panic attacks.
Apart from therapy, all I did was adapt my diet according to your lectures.
Thanks so much Dr Berg.
What a breath of fresh air your YT channel is.
Wow wow...thank you for helping me learn, unlearn and relearn more about nutritional systems and be alot wiser to become healthier everyday...your style of teaching is fantastic...simplicity at its best...thank you, thank you...
Doctor Berg, Sometimes you are just too amazing! This is a new way to think of our food. I kinda knew about the "fat and protein" idea but now I really "got it."
