    1. Sugar
    What to do:
    • Consume fiber
    • Consume potassium
    • Consume vitamin B1
    • Take benfotiamine
    • Take alpha lipoic acid
    • Exercise
    • Drink apple cider vinegar mixed with water
    • Consume cinnamon
    • Take berberine
    • Add more fat to your meal
    • Do fasting
    • Take MCT oil
    2. Alcohol
    What to do:
    • Take vitamin B1
    • Take electrolytes and drink water
    • Take milk thistle
    3. Medications
    What to do:
    • Take milk thistle (not at the same time as your meds)
    • Take vitamin B12 and vitamin B1 (if you take metformin)
    • Take CoQ10 (if you take a statin)
    • Take a probiotic (if you take an antibiotic)
    • Take apple cider vinegar mixed in water and betaine hydrochloride (if you take an antacid)
    4. Grains
    What to do:
    • Take minerals and trace minerals
    • Consume organ meats or shellfish
    5. Fish high in mercury
    What to do:
    • Take selenium
    6. Too much sodium
    What to do:

I have very severe and aggressive arthritis; both knees, hips have been replaced, I’ve had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders and the arthritis is now moving to my fingers and back.
This summer beginning back in June I started my own version of Dr. Bergs diet and health tips. I completely stopped consuming anything with sugars and also began a plant based diet. Along with my diet I began a 2-4 hour/day workout program (yes, even with all those joint replacements Im still able to play a high level of tennis, cardio and weight training. Shortly thereafter I began the program I noticed the inflammation of my arthritic joints began to lessen. I was getting regular cortisone shots every 60 days in order to relieve a lot of that pain, yet I noticed I began cancelling my cortisone appointments as I wasn’t hurting as much as in the past. Before I knew it I hadn’t gone for any cortisone shots since June…we’re now in November. I truly believe there is a dramatic relationship between sugars and joint inflammation. Anyways in the 4 months of summer I lost 40 pounds and I truly believe that the stopping of sugar consumption literally relieved me of 99% of my joint inflammation!

Just a thought for you Dr Berg, these are my observations. I m fifty. Grains and sugar are a big part of vegetarian diets. Till 20 years back, digesting them was never an issue. Of course I had health problems but no issues with grains dairy or sugars. Things started changing 20 years back. These foods were suddenly difficult to digest. I thought I had developed auto immune disorders. In the recent past I made changes in the food I was buying. Like, I moved to organic milk, cold pressed oils, and very recently I bought a different type of whole wheat flour. That is when I realised for the first time that this is how the flour was in my earlier years. Then I remembered that nowadays everything is GM, ie, genetically modified. It is this modification that our body kind of rejects. So my conclusion is that let's do things the way it was done by our ancestors. Right from timings to food combinations and especially farming methods. I think that is where the problem lies and not in all this medical guesswork that all doctors are up-to.

@@Truth15freedom you nailed it! That's why we homeschool and with a classical approach. Learning to memorize is key, but that's not understanding. It's just info. The layers of application need to be applied. People need lots of memorization from a young age as it's good for the brain, but then as we get older we discuss what's been memorized and why, then later we can synthesize our own thoughts- hopefully with wisdom.
Imagine this method being in you since age 5... it would be ludicrous to just treat people with a memorized list... or treat any part of life without independent thinking. Our education system- even medical school- sadly produces list makers, not makers of life.
Much like learning about real nutrition and health here, homeschooling has been our way of unplugging from the broken machine and thriving with real knowledge!

I was a blind person 2 years ago, still very aware of mistakes, this tells me I was a product of what I’ve seen growing up. Lots of nonsense! Very confusing life! I knew nothing more than to do negativity. All I needed was a lead, I had already been seeking answers for myself in late teens, but of course I was prescribed meds that never worked ever. When I caught on to some patterns they lead to other things which did not stop. My life flipped a complete 180. Eventually my life was the opposite, literally. I didn’t realize how tough it’s been until I understood what was keeping my energy down, I thought it was just life but I always knew there was more, this couldn’t be life. Since then I’ve gone MIA from the world and began to educate myself everyday, in the midst I realize I’ve always had diabetes my whole adult life which explains much, especially because I watched my dad stab himself in the abdomen scaring friends away. I put an end to the hereditary addiction of sugar/carbs and unhealthy way of thinking(which determines pretty much your quality of life) it’s been dramatic with others accepting me and their obvious jealousy and my stress dealing with “love” or I should say trauma bond! But what keeps me going are the many barriers overcame and meaningful moments that I’m okay with experiencing them alone. Thank you Dr. Berg. Anyone trying to help themselves, take the time to watch these videos. Get your life back.

I had a rare donut the other morning (co-worker b-day), and I felt bad for at least an hour. Like I could feel it traveling through my veins. lol I had some chlorella tablets and took a couple of those along with water. Didn't think about potassium. Will remember that for the future. Dr Berg, I totally agree with you about med school and what the majority of doctors are like! I went back to school and I kid not, right after graduating, just beginning new career, and I got sick, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, neurological problems, and arthritis, these things gradually in order, over the past 10 years, and I couldn't believe how bad things are until I myself became a patient. In fact, there's things I've learned from you to help and I am thankful for your continuing research and sharing how we care get well and prevent illness. ❤

Omg! it's now 6 a.m in my country and last night I went to bed thinking I'll research what happens when you eat carbs or sugar when dieting and doing intermittent fasting. I recently began (my 10th day) and cheated a couple times. I had honey and my sugar level went very low then I had coconut bake(flour) and had excruciating headaches. Thank you sooo much Dr. Berg for always being here for us. You're the best🤍

I am being treated for Complex PTSD due to severe trauma suffered, naturally IBS, cortisol and other symptoms ruled my life for a long while.
Thanks to your videos I have managed to get my bowel back to a normal daily function, the cortisol has subsided substantially and anxiety has become a lot more manageable with less spikes and panic attacks.
Apart from therapy, all I did was adapt my diet according to your lectures.
    Thanks so much Dr Berg.

Doctor Berg, Sometimes you are just too amazing! This is a new way to think of our food. I kinda knew about the "fat and protein" idea but now I really "got it."
