On this channel, I invite you to join me in exploring the intricate tapestry of my life. As a Russian-New Zealand adoptee, I open up about my experiences, shedding light on topics that resonate with fellow adoptees. From vlogs to illuminating stories, this space is dedicated to sharing not only my own journey but also the inspiring narratives of others who've walked a similar path.
Having been adopted at the age of two from an orphanage in Arkhangelsk, Russia, into the embrace of my New Zealand family, I delve into the path of my cultural upbringing, the history that has shaped me, and the meaningful connections I've made with my birth family. My quest to uncover the missing links of my heritage takes me to Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, each step a chapter in my evolving story.

Thank you for being a part of my journey!
So glad that you were staying in contact with your birth father, and trying so hard to stay in contact with your birth mother. I admire your constant efforts to contact and meet your extended family. Best to you.
So glad you are staying connected to your birth parents. Wishing you all the best.
Thank you for the update, Alex. Your own journey is helping many others.
It is always great to hear about all of your family. Thank you for keeping us up to date on your projects and passion for adoptees and your birth family. Best wishes for the adventures. 💗💗👍👍
I could imagine that if your birth mother was to visit New Zealand, it would be hard for her. Seeing that the son she gave up was raised in a place that would be " Paradise " to her, would bring up Sooo many different emotions, and returning to Russia from that Paradise would be a bitter pill to swallow. She may not show many emotions, but you can tell she has them, I wonder if Guilt is her biggest burden and seeing her healthy son might open the wound up.
A VERY complex situation for sure.
I agree with you! Would be a complex situation of course. 100%!
It's good to keep the communication and kudos for the Russian language learning
I am not adopted but i somehow came upon your videos in seeking more about my heritage , my mom was from a small town in Germany andmy dad is from South Africa where i was born too but his parents are from 2 diffrent small towns ive never been to , i love learning these things and learning more about so many diffrent things , i didnt always like the mixed culture but its something i celebrate alot more now when i am older - its really cool to watch your story and how you are connecting dots and helping others to do the same :)
I love the term "Adoption Community" that you used. :) It's indeed a Community... a Community of People who are giving, sharing, & selfless... :) Thank you for all these...
