Just imagine how crime would be different if we allowed it. No better person than police to know what’s needed. You have liberal judges weeks and months later from a court house free these criminals….police are on the ground smelling this stuff from the housing, clothes and food.

Technically it was a police facility, just an extention with less oversight.
The oversight is the issue of the situation, numerous cities have off site areas because of distance to the main department and Yes sometimes the off site is less formal so it can speed up a investigation process to determine if a individual needs further processing.
But the problem arises is when officers forget Professionalism and integrity then with the lack of oversight these things become a problem like with the incidents in the news story, probably a few bad characters causing issues for everyone.

I for some reason don't see a problem with this... Too much crime in this country. Law abiding citizens are angry

What was taking place was criminal and against the law. The very core of the issue you speak of.
The main issue that started the investigations into the department was the dozen innocent individuals that were beaten, tortured, and illegally held in custody. That is not the law, that is the absence of law.
This should bother every red blooded American that holds the Constitution dear, that respects the natural rights declared within.
Lawlessness is not a solution to lawlessness.

If you don't see a problem with this, you are PART of the problem. You cannot break the law in the name of the law. Either that, or we are truly lost.

Because it starts with them Soon they will come for u. The Government should ALWAYS follow it's own rules, else how can u expect Citizens to follow them? And why are we angry about victimless crimes? Drug and other vice crimes are easy to pad cops' numbers but don't protect law abiding Citizens.

Police don't stop crime or reduce crime. At BEST they show up AFTER the crime and take a report. It's rare they get to a crime in progress. If they do, it may not matter (Uvalde).
