Saw them in 84 Saxon blew them off the map. So drunk and sloppy they were that night. Even Heavy Pettin out rocked them....a greater band indeed. From u.k. I think. Very Def Leppard like. In 84 I was really really into Crue. Played Too Fast and Shout over and over and over. Cassettes. Anyway I go to the Shout tour 83 84 and wouldn't ya know....they stunk.

Louder than Hell is one of my favs by the Crüe. I like this a little better, bass and drums seem more upfront. Love to hear '10 seconds to Love' or 'Come on and Dance ' demo.

I had this on a bootleg album from 25+ years ago. It was a bootleg album titled "Pariah". It featured this version and the songs Toast of the Town and Stick to your guns.
This may be new for a lot of ppl but I actually had it on vinyl many years ago. I still have the record packed away in storage

This is the best Crue song I've heard in over 30 years.

Even sadder is that this demo was on the 2003 version of SATD on the crucial Crüe remasters, along with I will survive and black widow, but the band is putting it out like something that was never released, or maybe I'm too old 😂

The stops during the chorus kill the energy. It reminds me of Beau Hill's criticism of Ratt's prior version of Round & Round. Glad this occurrence was withdrawn in the album.
So it’s basically the same song as louder than hell
This was written during the SATD sessions but because KiSS had a song of the same name it went unreleased until TOP writing sessions started to dry up and they had to scrounge old material. They renamed it louder instead.
This is the perfect example of a band going into it’s sophomore record with plenty of material already written since the band’s inception and that third album jinx Tom Werman spoke about where being on the road with all the pressure and craziness music stops getting written. Where as hungry bands looking to get signed have nothing to do but write and gone there craft to the point they usually have the first two albums written.
GnR never lasted long enough to really hit the slump with the original line up in place. They had good songs from the beginning being recorded for UYI2

Go back to the “meat photos”, all the bus and bar pics showing their real XXX life, Mars having to be propped up so he doesn’t drown in the hot tub during a photo session Vince smacked out during same session (yes that’s right he very occasionally did heroin as did Tommy) Nikki and Vanity pics where he looks like a skeleton going back to early TFFL/Frankie Ferrano days…
This band wasn’t meant to last and Sixx wasn’t meant to live past 26 like all the other did musicians..
