Motley Crue - Demo called "Running Wild in the Night" one of my Favorite un-official releases, if you listen to the Solo it ended up in SAVE OUR SOULS.
I think it kicks ass !!! All of us true Crue heads have been waiting for this moment forever !! It sucks Micks gone but honestly -- life goes on ---- long live my Möt !!
I had a demo cassette from the Shout at the Devil era. It's had nine songs that didn't make it on the album. This was one of them. It also had 2 different versions of the song Shout at the Devil.
@@Plejer1067 Black Widow 1 and 2,. Hotter then Hell, Running Wild in the night 2 versions of Shout at the Devil. One version of Shout Vince was saying I'm fucking evil. I don't know it's been 30 years since I had the tape. I'm having a hard time remember what I had for dinner last night.
I used to buy the metal edge magazine back in the 80's when I was a kid and I had a folder full of pages I tore out of the magazine and this is one of the pictures I had in my folder.
I hadn't heard this one before. Sounds like it should have been in Too Fast For Love. Very similar sound. I have a bootleg called Mötley Crüe - Overexposed It has the original Leathur Records Demo, Stick To Your Guns, Toast Of The Town, and 4 live tracks. I played the hell out of that record.
The only other songs I've ever seen or heard were, "NOBODY KNOWS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE LONELY", "RODEO", "TIMEBOMB", "AMERICAN ZERO", "I'M A LIAR", they also did a cover of the Beatles "PAPERBACK WRITER". and then there are the ones they've released like "BLACK WIDOW", "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE", "TOAST OF THE TOWN" & "STICK TO YOUR GUNS" They say they don't have anything else but I'm sure there is something buried somewhere.
Black angels laughing in the city streets, The joke's gone too far. Street toys scream in pain and clench their teeth, They hide in the dark. Streetlight, spotlight on the cities crime, They laugh while they fight. Don't want to wait around for nothing tonight, Never catch me blind. We'll keep runnin' wild in the night, The city won't let it go on. Now, home sweet home, On into the, now into the night. Always, runnin' wild in the night. Always, runnin' wild in the night. Always, runnin' wild in the night. Sweet tarts play the game, shoot to thrill. You ain't safe in your beds. They're runnin' free through the trash, dressed to kill, They don't know what they missed. The midnight, show-stop is on its way, A funny money game. Ten thousand bleeding hearts, to carry the stakes, With 'em to the grave. They're runnin' wild in the night, The city won't let it go on. Now home sweet home, You're on into the, on into the night Always, runnin' wild in the night. Always, runnin' wild in the night. Always, runnin' wild in the night.
Way better song than Save Our Souls Black angels laughing in the city streets Street toys scream in pain and clench their teeth The moonlight spotlights all the city crime Got no religion Laugh while they fight Save our souls for the heavens For a life so good it sure feels bad Save our souls for the heavens Save our souls for the promised land
If only they would've busted this one out, Toast of the Town or Stick To Your Guns on their final tour we all would have gone wild. One difference I did notice though on their 1st time through, their set included Too Young To Fall In Love replaced with Louder Than Hell second time
Good lord. Was the engineer a sophomore in college working on his audio engineering degree? He certainly wasn't a drum tech. Tommy sounds terrible and Mick's sounds like he's playing through an old Peavy with everything turned up but the mids. Vocals sound good though.
I can see why this never made it onto an lp. Its a pretty generic song comparatively. Yeah its heavy and has potential to be great, but falls short of the mark. Doesn't really sound like their style. Almost a cover in a way.

I bought this bootleg back in 1985 when i was 13

I heard them play this once at the country club in Reseda late 82
Love Crue!
Holy shit!! This is the first time I've heard this song and I was 13 when Shout came out. Fuckin awesome!!
What a badass song..should have re made this for the album

@@Torbjorn546because ai is gonna be the death of originality and should not be used

You've got to love the raw heaviness of this rarity!🤘

Vinces' early 80s -catgrowls were sick af

Great song!!! great band!!!! Motl crue rules
They must have so many great songs in the vault

Thank you for this! 🤘
Street toys? Discarded Pooh Bear and Piglet and such?
Awesome photo of band
Can't say the song does much for me but the pictures are great.
Way better song than Save Our Souls

Save our souls for the heavens
For a life so good it sure feels bad

It feels weird to listen to this after listening to Save Our Souls and Starry Eyes
They have a lot of songs and I keep finding more.
Knock em dead kid
Eye on the money
Bastard
Nice solid rock heavy song

The solo ended up in Starry Eyes
Some of the lyrics end up on S.O.S.
How did we survive the 80's?! Every night was a garage party. Even worse came Slayer and Megadeth.
I hope they put it on their new album.
Would have fit perfect on Shout
Nah, shout is perfect as is
Had to come back and listen to good Crue after hearing the travesty that was “Dogs Of War” that song was…bad.
I have to agree that new song is nothing more than a pos. Sounds like every other crappy band of today.
MAGIC 98.73 FM
Many of the same lyrics ended up on Save Our Souls.
My brother Rude Dog and I had all those pictures splattered on our walls like blood then in our Barracks room in the Navy,,,THE CRÜE IZ THE SHIT!!
I had a bootleg album years and years ago that had them playing Breaking The Chains on it. Now I can’t find it that song anywhere
Can i please have a download of this song? Its really good
currently not sure where I have the disc that the song is on. When I find it I will contact you.

Good choice not to put this one on the album. Need to rework the chorus.
