Lee Aaron (born Karen Lynn Greening, July 21, 1962) is a Canadian rock singer. She had several hits in the 1980s and early 1990s such as "Metal Queen", "Whatcha Do to My Body", and "Sex with Love"
I was around 15. She inspired me so much. I’m 51 and still a metalhead

I saw her twice in concert, 1983 and -1984'. I'm 56 now and ditto, still a metalhead...lol

I saw Lee Aaron in 1984 in Guelph and the Metal Queen rocked us all. I had a seat near the stage beside a huge speaker. My ears were ringing for a week. Great show though.
Saw her in Oshawa twice back in the day. Body Rock and Some Girls Do!
I was at her concert in a bar in Burlington same year. I think I have permanent hearing damage from that night

I always considered her the female Dio/David Coverdale. She has that gritty timbre, and can also whack out a ballad with amazing feel and soul when necessary. The best hard rock/metal singer of the ladies for me.
I would agree, but the whole top female Metal voice kind of stopped with Metal Queen, there’s no metal in “what you do to my body”.

I remember when I first discovered this artist and heard this song for the first time-I was absolutely blown away and beaming and shaking with joy for her. I diddnt even know her and yet I have never been so proud for her. I have never ever ever heard a female artist rock the mic in such a way with this heavy type of a presence-well, at least in a LONG time when I discovered her. I was already used to Halestorm, Joan Jett, and did not think i’d ever get to hear another contender for the throne. Then this lady just announces herself as the queen. She was just such a pure badass words can’t really describe the magic and the energy this album brings. Got to be the one is my favorite though

Oh mi friend...good ol´ memories. Met her on Tour with Monro in Germany. I guess it was the Powerline Tour. Best femal artist in Metal at this time.
It is crazy to see her transform from this into that glam music she did that made her the big money.
Does anyone else remember the magazine interview where she'd quit Metal, gone into jazz, and pretty well belittled her heavy Metal music? Seems she also trashed on her nude photo shoot, as well. It's great she is performing Metal, again. We can never have "too many" talented and lovely gals in the Heavy Metal endeavor.
How was this woman not a worldwide superstar??! Her music is just as good, if not better, than much of the hard rock and heavy metal that was popular in the 80s and 90s!

I have always loved this song, Karen and the band. I remember rushing home from school on Wednesday’s for Midweek Metal Mania on City TV in hopes of seeing this video and anything by Motörhead! The song holds true, not sure about the video, but The Metal Queen Still Lives!

I first saw this on U68 in NYC in the Spring of 1985, when I was 17 going on 18. The song and video blew me away back then and, even though I kinda laugh at the cheesiness of the video today, I still love this song. It still kicks ass to this day. The kids of today can never truly understand, just like the older people back then couldn't. But we knew and always do. I'm 56 years old now, still a Metalhead and will always be one. 🤘🏻 #Metal4Ever 🤘🏻

Just discovered this, so here's a take from someone who hasn't been a lifelong fan. The song itself is awesome. Could be punched up a little, but there's nothing wrong with it at all. The video has something of an 80's charm to it, but there's a lot of potential in there for it to be really, legitimately awesome. I mean there's a robotic spider with lasers and a flamethrower. That's pretty freakin' metal right there. I'd like to see what could be done with a decent VFX budget, modern tech, and a good choreographer. Plus, I saw the video of her at Wacken 2018. She could still do it all herself.
