I know there's an ongoing debate about whether or not vaseline is good for your face or not, just like coconut oil. As much as I think it's okay for my face, everyone reacts differently. Please keep that in mind as some of you might be a bit more sensitive lol.

here's several suggestions for treating acne naturally
Ensure you eat enough fruit and vegetables.
Make sure you have enough sleep
don't eat food that is processed or contains preservatives
make use of low or no sugar foods.
(I discovered these and the reasons they work from Ayanas acne blog site )

I actually find it works best this way: wash face with warm water, apply Vaseline to areas you're going to try this on, then the plastic wrap, but THEN take a hot wet washcloth and put that overtop of the plastic wrap and leave on for 5-10 minutes, re-heating/wetting the washcloth if it starts getting cool. Then use the washcloth to remove the excess Vaseline from the area and then use the Q-tips or fingers wrapped in Kleenexes! I find it's much more effective.

Did this last night. A couple things:
1. I didn't have plastic wrap so I used toilet paper. Works the same.
2. It was a little itchy. No irritation tho.
3. This really worked for me. I've tried this another time but the wrap came off when I was sleeping so it didn't work the 1st time.
4. This worked better than any nose strip or peel off mask I've ever used. My nose hasn't been this clean in years.
5. You can totally do it during the day. I even had my glasses on the whole time sitting on top of the paper.
6. Also my nose is very soft.

@@jessaslor4744 I applied the petroleum jelly, got toilet paper (about 2 sheets) folded it in half horizontally and vertically and pressed it on top. It holds well.

Never had acne a day in my life but I broke out after someone recommended putting vaseline on eczema on my face. I have now been battling to recover my skin for two years. PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF THIS GUYS. It was a brand new bottle and everything, my dermatologist just said that because of how thick it is it traps things in your pores, and THAT causes the breakouts. It makes you extremely prone to bacterial acne, which is HARD TO GET RID OF. Please use this with caution guys :/
First point: I’ve been using coconut oil, cocoa butter, and almond oil on my skin for years and those oils have never clogged my pores and caused acne for me. As a matter of fact those exact same oils are the ones I specifically use because after nearly 15 years of suffering from acne, using those oils finally made my acne go away. Second point: I tried this Vaseline method! HOLY CRAP I CANT BELIEVE THIS WORKS! Thanks for sharing this hidden secret!

It's just a great occlusive, it will help u retain the moisture in like your serum, essence etc so yeah put it at the end of your night skin care routine
Livingnlalaland I usually mix it with aloe and face moisturizer I guess it is just a barrier to hold all the moisture in and good oils but it’s important to wash it off in the morning I’ve been told that Vaseline is a great moisturizer I just never really researched it thanks for letting me know the facts
When I was on acne treatment my eyelids were so dry that they were red and peeling and painful and the only thing that absoltely HEALED it was vaseline!

hi! so i actually just did this right now but ill tell u the results
soo ive watched this video a really long time ago, but i did it recently. i had vaseline in my house and i remembered this video, so i was like “why not?” i didnt expect it to work
so i put the vaseline and the plastic in my nose and i left it ONLY for an hour because it was kinda tickling my eye (ik my fault) so i removed it and was like “k ill do this another day” but i still did the q tip stuff..
AND IT WORKED! Even after 1 hour?!?! Ok not ALL went out but definitely there is a difference! I could see the black junk in the q tips. I was sooo surprised. The downside to this is that ur nose can get really red if u press down too hard and some blackheads dont go out unless u press down too hard (but i left it for 1 hour so who knows whatll happen if i leave it overnight)
After some of the blackheads melted i washed my face with a facial cleanser and to lessen the redness i used an ice cube bttw

Guys please don’t do this frequently! I have combination skin, so an oily t zone and the rest of my face is dry. I did this maybe 2 times a week and beforehand I didn’t have clogged pores. This actually does work, don’t get me wrong, my blackheads would disappear FOR A DAY. But once I started it I noticed my skin started breaking out like crazy! I would accidentally put some Vaseline on my cheeks and the skin on my cheeks is so bumpy (this has NEVER happened). I now stopped doing this, it’s been 4 months and I still can’t get rid of my textured skin.
Honestly you don’t even need the petroleum jelly. A hot water towel just opens your pores to get those blackheads out easier. I mean the petroleum might help soften the skin up but you can use something else like hyaluronic acid, which is better for your skin. Also your pores are just going to fill back up again. I recommend using a retinol product to help bring those down over time.

i watched other youtubers using sodium bicarbonate for 3 mins after steaming the face, wash the sodium bicarbonate off and place the nose strip. i've did it once a few months ago and it works brilliantly. long whiteheads stuck on strip. fyi, using sodium bicarbonate on your skin (esp face) is not good; it has high pH (alkaline) and might causing some redness or itchiness on your face.

since fei didnt mention this i would just like to stress how important it is (from past experiences) to keep vaseleine AWAY from your eyes. it might not clog your pores, but if u get it even remotely close to your eyes they will swell so bad.

corbyn danielle I used Vaseline on my eyelashes and it helped them become thicker though (although my eye did feel uncomfortable with the heavy jelly on it) but then I only do that occasionally. It’s great for eyebrows too. But maybe different people react differently to Vaseline.

Very intrigued! Although I'd suggest using medical tape to keep the saran wrap from shifting. The plastic wrap could temporarily obstruct breathing and if you're sleeping, that could be VERY problematic. You're unconscious and unable to react quickly.
Make sure the tape is on clean, dry skin without Vaseline.

Please dont sleep with plastic on your face !!!I suffered blackheads that seemed to be under my skin and wouldn't come out even when I exfoliate and tried to extract them.
I started to use retin A with aloe vera from MastoorA beauty and now my pores have shrank so much that i dont get black heads at all anymore.

I use both cocoa butter and coconut oil😂 It's in my night routine, like i use coconut oil in my homemade exfoiliant and it leaves my face extremely soft, but I was it off not that it all comes off😂 Also I used cocoa butter cause it also has vitamin E and I use a Vitamin C thing and heard it works well, I don't think I break out anymore or have necessarily clogged pores, I always clean my face anyway, is this bad for my skin?😂
순이 coconut oil is really bad for skin. Rather use jojoba or rosehip oil, they make your skin soft and theyre non comedogenic!

Fei try mixing cinnamon and honey and then rubbing it on your nose for 3 mins straight, when I've tried it has given pretty good results!
I actually tried it and while it didn't work for me (my beak is just too Large for saran wrap to stay on my face) it did moisturize my nose area which is always appreciated during allergy season

Omg, I read an article from one of Snapchats news app thingys and they were talking about this video!! Like how dermatologists do NOT recommend this method cause it can actually make things worse and that having plastic so close to the nose and mouth while sleeping is dangerous.
I understand the danger of the plastic, as it can cause suffocation. However, it should be up to the individual if they want to try this. I don’t mind others opinions as long as they don’t hinder me from doing what I want and deciding for myself.
I have horrible blackheads. And imma try this and hopefully it helps some.
