- In this video I show you how to stake your ADA Cardano on The Daedalus Wallet in a simple step by step tutorial. Daedalus is the official Cardano wallet and the go to wallet for most people when they are staring out in their Cardano journey and looking for a way to stake their ADA. As always I do recommend using a hardware wallet whenever possible and Daedalus will be bringing out hardware wallet support very soon.

I've been watching your videos. Thank you! As a noob, very insightful. Bought ADA on Kraken and downloaded Daedalus and moved it over. Not 100% sure why... other than I couldn't figure how to move it to my Ledger Nano. And the fact that you dedicated an entire channel to ADA and have multiple videos on Daedalus. Anyhow, I just staked my ADA in "Paul" so hopefully it helps us both. Probably going to wash rinse and repeat. More ADA more $ and sometime years down the line, it's going to be a happy ending for us all!
Thanks for joining the pool. You can also use your ledger with daedalus by syncing the ledger and then sending the funds to the ledger wallet in daedalus
To the point sharing! This is absolutely helpful!
Hey man, just wanted to say thanks for this video. I know it's older, but it's still super useful.
Este es uno de los canales que más me gusta, sería genial si pudiera traducir un subtitulado al español al igual que tu página. Para mí eres un referente de esta criptomoneda. Gracias por tu dedicación Paul.
Thanks for the great video!
Thanks learning something everyday
Hi Paul, thanks for sharing very useful and have used the info to stake my very first ADAs.
Here to support you Paul, joined your stake pool
Informative. Staking with you.
Thank you
Thank you PAUL! Just staked with you =)
Thanks Allen
How much APY does the Paul pool give?
Stupid question, sorry in advance 😂
I'm very new to cardano, just bought a small amount and staked it on daedalus and I plan to keep growing my wallet and keeping this for years to come.
My question is, do I need to keep daedalus open on my pc after delegating my ada to receive rewards?
No once your delegated you can close. No stupid questions here I'm sure lots more have the same question
How much would one receive back for staking on daedalus

I shall stake with you Frodo Baggins, thank you
Hi Paul,
Might be a silly question as I'm new to crypto.
I have followed the video to a T, but I'm now wondering does this stake my entire balance or do I have to do anything else to add more to a stake pool ?
Very Very Nice
I'm so new to this! Thanks for this video. Is there a reason when I delegated my wallet into a pool only like 2 ADA went into the pool? I wanted to stake all the ADA in that specific wallet but the rest is just sitting there.
he Paul, i've just staked some ADA at your pool!
Thanks Mattias
Great video
Thanks Ayo
Can you unplug the nano while Daedalus is syncing the wallet? It has taking several hours to sync.
Hi Paul, Loving the content and info! I decided to stake with you because i like the clear way explain all of this. I do some questions, I staked with you 21 days ago. I have not seen a return. Do i have to enable something on Daedalus? or is my ada balance too small? I feel like I am missing something.
Hey Brian, The current epoch is ending tonight so you definitely should have a reward for that if you started 21 days ago. Feel free to drop me an email with any screenshots or if you want to ask anything - paul@cardanowithpaul.com
I took 3 hours transferred ADA to Daedalus !
That must have been the exchange that was slow
@@CardanoWithPaul ok, I delegate with your pool.

Great video to the point! Can I send my ADA from Yoroi wallet to Daedalus? I used 2 ADA to vote on Yoroi do I get it back when I pull out? Thanks everyone
great video, if I want to split my cardano on various pools how I can do that? I must create multiple wallets or is something else?
Thanks. Yes you would need to create multiple wallets to delegate to multiple pools

I am super new to this but I am curious to know an estimate on returns that could be expected. Say I staked 100,000 ada, what could I expect in return and how often?

Great content Paul. I connect my Ledger Nano X to the Daedalus and the wallet has been created. My question is - Can I have a separate ADA Ledger wallet connected to the Daedalus?
Yes you can connect as many ledgers as you want
Hi Paul,I am very keen to get my ADA out of E-Toro and into your pool..EToro provides a return but its very low...many thanks for your advice in advance!
Unfortunately etoro don't let you withdraw your ADA, if you want to hold your ADA in another wallet you will need to sell it on etoro to something like Bitcoin, send that to Binance or kraken and buy your ADA back. This could work in your favour if the price goes down after you sell or work against you if the price rises after your sell
how do i buy cardano coins on this deadalus or how to import them i dont get this
Hi Paul, watched a couple of your ADA videos, and subscribed ! Good, clear explanations, thank you. Question for you - Once I have paired my ledger with Daedalus, and staked some ADA - if I now send more ADA to this wallet (say a few days later), do I need to re-delegate that new ADA, or does that automatically get added to the pool ?
Anything new added to the account will be auto staked for you
@@CardanoWithPaul Thanks Paul for confirming.
nice video thanks! if i transfer more ADA from binance to a wallet delegated to your pool, this new transfer will be automatically staked?
Yes it will be auto staked for you and so will any rewards you earn
Hey Paul. Just saw ur video. How do we pull out of one stake pool to put our ADA into ur stake pool or another stake pool?
If your on Yoroi or Daedalus you can just go through the delegate process again and delegate to a different pool. You will just pay a transaction fee of about 0.17ADA which is to change your stake key. I go through it here as well czcams.com/video/48MngePqUQo/video.html
Thanks a lot for the content! It is very straightforward!
There is no problem with going offline while delegating ADA on Daedalus, right? Will my rewards be the same?
Once you stake you can turn it off as when you stake you sign a stake key on the network and thats it
I just delegate to your pool mate :) cheers!
Thanks for joining
Hi mr Paul, sorry I am very new with crypto’s, I would like to ask, if we stake our ADA to your pool, we will get “paid” every week? What amount we will receive every 6 days?.. and for how long will last our stake? Sorry for making many questions but I just want to be sure what profit someone can have with staking... Take care !
Nice questions.
Hi Paul, thinking of staking my ADA to your pool. What if I want to unstake in the future though? How does that work?
There is no locking at any point with Cardano staking so you are free to move them whenever you want. Thanks for looking at the pool
Hi Paul, thanks always for great content. I just staked ADA for the first time and into your pool. I was never asked how much of my ADAs I wanted to stake. Do ALL of my ADAs get staked?
Thanks for joining. Yes with Cardano staking it stakes your full wallet but there is no lock so you can still move them at any time
@@CardanoWithPaul Great, thanks!
Good video paul! The question I have is I have ordered the ledger S so would it be best to use Daedelous or Exodus for staking ADA with that hardware wallet? also, do you know who has the higher fees?
Thanks J Stack, I dont think you can use the ledger with exodus for Cardano but I need to test that to be sure. You could use Daedalus or the Yoroi plugin is also very good with a ledger. I cover them here - czcams.com/video/3ypcYjjJNns/video.html
@@CardanoWithPaul Ok good to know thanks Paul!
Great video. :-) Just a question about 0.17 ADA fee. What does that mean and how often is it charged?
The 0.17 ADA fee is the transaction fee so you pay it for any transaction on the network eg when you stake or when you claim rewards. You dont have to claim every epoch though you can just claim when you want to move funds out of the wallet
do i have to keep my computer on, when I staking with a pool on daedalus wallet, on my pc ?
No once you delegate you can close it
Hi Paul, so I've currently been staking ADA for about a week now and I haven't been paid any rewards? Is there a staking ADA FAQ?
Ya I put one together here - www.cardanowithpaul.com/cardano-staking-faq-ultimate-guide/
Your first reward will be 15 - 20 days and then after that it is every 5 days
Thank for the video! I'm new here and wondering if I lose my laptop that have daedalus, will i lose my cardano? How will I be able to recover my ADA?
Once you have your seed phrase you can restore the wallet on a new laptop
Hey Paul, quick question...I delegated my ADA with your pool, or at least I think I did...but Daedalus shows only 2 ADA was sent in transactions. Does that mean I only delegated 2? Or is that just the transfer fees? I guess what I need to know is how do I confirm that my entire wallet is delegated? I don't recall being asked at any point in the process how much of my wallet I want to delegate, and I feel like a big dum dum but I'm new and still learning.
Edit: NM! After reading down a bit I found the same question and your answer.
Thanks for the content!
Thanks for joining. Yes the 2 ADA is just a deposit and it stakes your full wallet
Hi Paul. Help me how to transfer to a wallet (take your profit). And how to remove ADA from the stake and withdraw Daedalus from the wallet?
Hey Paul.. Just tried to stake with you.. but I think I might have the old Byron Version and its not working .. What do I to get started with staking? Cheers.
Hey Carl, Bryon wallets don't support Staking so you will need a shelley wallet. If you are using Daedalus you can create a new wallet and just make sure it is a Shelley wallet. Once you have it created send your ADA from your old Bryon wallet to the new Shelley one and you should be able to stake from there then. Any problems let me know and also feel free to join our telegram chat for help - www.cardanowithpaul.com/TelegramChat
How do you know which stake pool to choose and do you earn rewards everyday?
Most pools will return about 5% over the year so I would say pick a pool you trust and want to support. I run the pool PAUL if you decide to stake in mine. Thanks
i have a question for you Paul, im new and using daedulus wallet , I find it strange it doesnt log out when I close the app and when I open it no pw needed , it just brings me into the wallet. so I assume the security is the spending pw would be needed to move access any funds but still it shows my acct bal and receiving addresses, etc. ? Is this normal for all users ?
Yes that's normal and it's the spending password that means nothing can be sent out of the wallet without it
i tried to delegate my ADA on Daedalus and got into a pool, but i found a better pool but I couldnt undelegate my ADA, i looked it up and the only way was to send your ADA to another wallet on another exchange, i have done that now but would i get into trouble because i staked 180 ada and now i have pulled it out from that staking pool to another wallet... is it gonna cancel itself or whats gonna happen now, could you please reply. thanks
What can I click on in the Daedalus app on my pc to see that I properly allocated my staked tokens... it shows I still have 100% in my wallet.. seems like I’m doing something wrong
Your funds always stay in your wallet. If you go to the delegation centre in daedalus you should see when your stake will take effect or If you go to the pool page you will see the pool you are delegated to at the top
Hello! Very useful content! I have already delegated my ADAs. Can I close my MAC?
Ya once you delegate you can close your daedalus wallet and computer then
Again thanks Paul.. can you clarify the rewards system.. how much are they.. do I need to go with an intermediary such as yourself (if that is the correct phrasng) to move them onto Deadalus? Do you have a video link.. any information be great..
When staking you keep the finds in your own wallet like daedalus. The annual return is about 5% and is paid out every 5 days
Again thank you I'm getting to grips more thanks to the information..
so when I stake my full wallet for a term etc....at the end of the term do I get my original stake back plus reward?
Yes your original is always yours and you can move it at any time as there is no lock with Cardano staking
@@CardanoWithPaul so the 2 dollar deposit doesn’t mean I am only staking 2 dollars? I am actually delegating my whole wallet?
Yes with Cardano you delegate your full wallet
Thanks for info.. please help can I download daedulas on a mobile phone or only home computer..?
Daedalus is only for a computer but for a mobile you can use yoroi as they have an app
Thanks Paul.. it's helping..
Hi! I am not able to find your Pool in daedalus - Normal?
Sometimes when you open the pools tab for the first time it takes a few minutes for all pools to load. Thanks for choosing my pool
I'm just very new to this and just reading about staking. This is very confusing. One can stake on Binance and Kraken as well, which I believe are exchanges? And now I find this out that one can stake from Deadlus, which is a wallet? Whats the difference?? Why would one stake from one vs the other?
I always choose a wallet I control rather than an exchange. I go through all of the options here - czcams.com/video/3ypcYjjJNns/video.html
Is choosing a lower saturated staking pool the better option?
Once your pool is under saturation your good. I have a new one under cardano with paul 2 if you are looking
Hi Paul, this will be my first time staking. I’ve gone through the steps in the video and see 2 pools. Paul and Paul1. What’s the difference between them?
Both are mine and should give the same rewards in the long run. I'm currently trying to bring PAUL up to the same stake level as PAUL1. Thanks for joining
@@CardanoWithPaul ok thanks...
Hello, what are the returns when staking with daedalus wallet ?
most pools should be roughly 5% - 5.5% over the year
Do you need a hardware
Weird question: Will the app and the pc version be the same account?
There is no app for Daedalus there is only a desktop version. Yoroi has a mobile app and you can use the same seed phrase as daedalus if you want and they will be the same account
When are rewards paid out? I've been staking/delegating for months but don't see my wallet being rewarded. Any ideas? I should be getting rewards every 5 days or so I thought?
Yes the first rewards take 15 - 20 days and then every 5 days after that. Check whatever pool you are delegated to to see if they are getting blocks
Hi Paul. Thanks for all the content!! So I had staked some ADA to your pool, and then bought more. It seems to have automatically went into your pool. I was a bit surprised by that. Can you explain. Thanks in Advance.
Thanks for the support. When you delegate with Cardano you stake the full wallet so any new funds added to a wallet will be auto staked to the same pool. They are working on a feature that would let you delegate to multiple pools from one wallet but its not ready yet

Hi Paul - new to crypto space - whats the benefits of joining a stake pool? can you just stake on your own or is it better to be with a pool?
You have to delegate to a pool to stake but When you stake you retain full control of your own coins and can move them a any time

One of the safest ways is to use a hardware wallet and pair it with your daedalus wallet. I will put out a video soon on security in general
Can you do another video like this with the update? I'm trying to stake but you need to choose how much to stake since this is my first time don't know how much was stake. Help!
With Cardano you don't choose how much to stake as it stakes your full wallet. The latest video I have on staking is the one I done showing all wallets and how to stake on yoroi and daedalus czcams.com/video/3ypcYjjJNns/video.html
I will do an updated video soon as well when native assets are live
@@CardanoWithPaul thanks! It gave a bar on how much to stake. I will delegated to you as soon as I can.
Sorry for that question, but staking is completely new for me and I'm not sure how this exactly works: After successfully delegating my ADA to a pool, can I close the daedalus application? Or are there some background wallet processes that are necessary for the staking?
Yes once you stake you can close the app and it still works as when you stake you sign a key on the network so that is what shows that you are staking
@@CardanoWithPaul perfect, thanks for clarifying =) And thanks for the video!
It says I don't have a Shelly compatible wallet, what does that mean?

Hi Paul, thanks for the video 👌, how long must you leave your ADA in the pool? Am considering dropping mine into your pool.
There is no minimum amount of time as there is no lock up with Cardano staking so you can move them out at any time. Thanks for looking at my pool

Yes it downloads it onto your computer, it shouldn't take 9GB every time though as every time you sync it just downloads what happened since the last time you synced. The first time is the longest
@@CardanoWithPaul thank s man. Im changed my delegation to your PAUL pool yesterday. Should be there in the next in an epoch or 2. Hope Sundae Swap finds bugs in the testnet before launching. Do you think I'll be delegated to your pool by then?

When I look at my walktet it shows I have 997ADA But system doesn’t allow me to make changes.
