    We staked Cardano on Ledger Live two years ago. We want to Unstake it now but are not able to so far. Ledger Live doesn't show the delegated amount and doesn't show an Unstake button. Nano hasn't been helpful so far. We sent them a screenshot showing the staking and the pools. They keep saying press the Unstake button. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

      My Ledger Live doesn’t show an Unstake button. Yet it shows a comment that assets are staked which I did two years ago. Nano support isn’t helping so far.
      Do you have any suggestions. Thank you

    Have been staking ADA on Ledger live app directly without using yoroi or anything the rewards each epoch show up but for example lets say my funds are 100 ADA and 10 of them is in rewards so 110 total, if i try to withdraw it says available are only 100 how do i withdraw rewards too ?

    I see there's a way to Swap ADA to USDC within the Yoroi Wallet? I feel this might be easier than trying to get it to an exchange when I want to sell. Have you looked into the Swap Feature and what might be most efficient when things are congested?

      Yes, correct. You need to use a wallet that have the voting options built into it.

    Always informative - I'm also going to search your site to see if there is instruction on how to move off Daedalus (including Sundae and WMT Tokens) to Ledger Live. I would like to centralize assets on Ledger Live and Daedalus is becoming a local PC Resource Megalodon

    • @LearnCardano

      So what you want is to move from your hot full node daedalus wallet to a cold light wallet.
      Nami
      Eternl
      Typhon
      Vespr
      Gero
      NuFi
      Are my top picks in order that I use at the moment.
      Set up the new wallet and connect your Ledger hardware wallet to it.
      Then transfer all your assets from your Daedalus wallet to the new one that you've set up.
      Never enter your Ledger seedphrase online or in the wallet apps.

      @@LearnCardano So, it really isn't possible to transfer ADA from Daedlus to Ledger Live without having to use something like Nami? If I want to transfer ADA, WMT and Sundae tokens directly from Daedlus to Ledger Live without having to use a (Nami, Eternl) -- that isn't possible?

    Can you also add some trezor if possible? Please. And im just confused 😅 its okay to have other cryptocurrencies in one cold wallet like ledger plus Ada are staking?

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes, most of these can hold many crypto not just ADA. My ledger only has space for one app at a time. So to access something else, I have to delete the ADA app and then install the other one and vice versa. The newer models don't have that issue as they have more data space.

    Hi peter, I did staking with yoroi for one year with my ledger, i was sending my rewards to my ledger but i only see the comission and i see that all the rewards when to an account that starts with stake and then letters and numbers, How can i rescue this rewards?

      I can think of what you’re doing there. I need to see an address at least to see what is going on. It’s most likely a wallet issue. Jump on our discord server if you want someone to have a look and not publish your address on CZcams.

    Hi Pete nice content! Would it be safer to stake from Ledger Live directly or the level of security when connection Yoroi with the HW wallet is high enough. I was thinking about the best practice here. Also do you know if it would be possible to have 50% staked from Ledger live and 50% from Yoroi even if it is connected to Ledger or is not point on doing this way? What do you recommend. Thanks,

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  Před 4 měsíci

      They're identical really.

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  Před 4 měsíci

      The app you're using is still viewing the same wallet. If you have all in Ledger Live and in Yoroi, its the same ADA. Having half and half in both, its still the same ada and you will see both balances/halves in both wallets.
      You can install ALL of the Cardano wallets and hook up your ledger nano, its still the same ADA and same wallet. Just different wallet app.

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  Před 6 měsíci

      I don't think you need to claim the rewards, they are just a part of your wallet balance. If you send all of your ADA away it will include the balance of rewards too

    Hi Peter, Thanks for another informative video. I purchased a Nano S as soon as I started buying crypto 3 years ago. When I purchased ADA I opened a Yoroi wallet linked to my Nano S and staked with ADAOZ. Every so often I would transfer my accumulated rewards from Yoroi to the Nano S. Recently after accumulating a significant amount I transferred them to my Nano X ,which I upgraded to along the way due to insufficient memory on the Nano S, but I found that my total ADA was already showing in Ledger Live and the only transaction shown was the fee. Can you explain why I don't see a transaction for my transferred rewards? If I delegated through Ledger Live would I see a transaction each epoch?

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  Před 7 měsíci

      The Ledger Live app is missing some of those features that you see in native Cardano wallets that are made for staking. I can't see the rewards in my wallet each epoch on Ledger Live. You also don't see the transactions for the rewards on any wallet. It just appears.
      Good on you though for using a hardware wallet.
      Did you know you can restore it directly in Yoroi so you don't need the Ledger Live app?

    • @lindanlester

    Hi, I have a maybe stupid question. I am using my Ledger Nano S in combination with a Daedalus Wallet, so I dont have any assets visible on Ledger Live. How would I have to proceed to get rid of Daedalus, because it pisses me off, that the Blockchain is dumping my entire storage space. Is it anyhow possible? I would be very grateful for any advice!

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Use ANY lightwallet that supports Cardano over Daedalus.
      I recommend Eternl at this point in time. Restore your Ledger in Eternl and never look back. You can do everything you need to in that wallet and more.

    I don’t understand so I’ve been staking my ADA through ledger for a couple months, I can see my rewards earned through Cardano Tool Pool by checking the address. How do I then go and claim those rewards into my Ledger holdings ?

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  Před 4 měsíci

      From what I understand, those reward are rolled into the wallet. They need to add more things to it to see what you’re getting for better tracking. I just use the explorers for that like PoolTool as you mentioned.

    So staking in a pool that had a higher commission gives more rewards to the stakes correct?

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  Před 6 měsíci

      No, the opposite. If their fees and variable rates are high and they have a low amount of delegation, you get a little less. It tends to average out over the life of the pool as they are usually more lucky with their slot allocation for blocks resulting in more rewards for all the delegates.

    • @Ashley.vee809

    Why it is showing Cost 340 ADA? Is that the cost to delegate + 1%? I see in the most of all that cost.

      Yes

    • @edmahon8779
      @edmahon8779 Před 5 měsíci

      Sorry - the cost to delegate it something like 0.17 ADA. Each epoch, the staking pool charges 340 ADA + 1% of the rewards earned during the epoch.

  • @luciferanurag2222
    @luciferanurag2222 Před 4 měsíci

    It says cost 340 Ada. What does that mean?

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  Před 4 měsíci

      This is how much ADA the stake pool takes each epoch from the pool or rewards. That is, if my pool makes 60,000 ADA in rewards for all my delegates, I as a pool owner will take 340 ADA and the rest will be divided amongst the delegates.

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I wouldn't say its compromised but there could be ways Governments around the world seize the data stored on these service providers that are holding the sharded parts of the seed phrase. If all three are subpoenaed to provided the data then your crypto would be in the hands of the Government as well.
      That new service is called Ledger Recover. I put all that in the show notes.

    Why own ADA instead of SOL? It's massively underperforming. ADA has a complicated coding language that developers don't like as well.
