Cardano Daedalus Wallet Tutorial: How to Store ADA

- Cardano Daedalus wallet, how to buy and store your ADA safely and securely. In this video tutorial, I show you how to search for available exchanges to buy Cardano ADA and how to download the official ADA-supported wallet Daedalus. I also perform a walkthrough of how to use the Daedalus software wallet.
Cardano (also known as the Ethereum Killer) is a decentralised cryptocurrency and a blockchain project which is open source. The project is developing a smart contract platform and delivering advanced features rather than just a protocol. When making a transaction using the ADA token, it will be recorded publicly through its blockchain, allowing users to check the date and time the transaction was made and the amount sent.

Hey nice vid. I got the new daedalus 2.0.0 and created 2 new wallets. Neither of them have send/ receive buttons up top though like yours did. Anyone have any idea what happened there, or how can i get my ADA into the new ones for staking?

I would like to know how to logout of the wallet because each time I open it on my computer it shows the wallet without writing any password. And that is dangerous if someone else has your pc. Thank you for the video.

I dl the Daedalus wallet from their site a month ago. Then saw that the wallets were being hacked? Was that just fud? Is there a way to check and make sure I have a secure wallet before moving my coins to it? Thanks.
so i can have multiple wallets within Daedalus, each with their own addresses, to keep some cardano separate from the rest? If that is the case, if i want to move some cardano from one wallet to another, both within the same client, i still have to *'send'* the normal way by copying the address of one and tell the other to send to that address, as if it were a whole separate person? In other words, i can't just drag-n-drop cardano from one to the other? And what happens if i delete a wallet with cardano in it? Is it gone forever?

Another good one Louise Elizabeth! I've had the Cardano wallet for a while now but have only used it to store the ADA tokens I've purchased on exchanges. I wasn't sure what the "Redeem" feature was used for -- is it's purpose to obtain tokens that were purchased during Cardano's ICO?

I'm a boomer and not that computer savvy but have battled technophobia to get on board with this revolution by getting a different wallet for each of the coins I've taken a fancy to. Sorry, I'm not sure, are they ERC20 tokens? If so, MyEtherWallet may support these?

but, after downloading the Daedalus wallet, it wasn't installing on my window7. it's been frustrating and not sure if I will buy some cardano since Daedalus Is the only Wallet that support it.

how do you transfer you cardano tokens from binance to your cadano wallet
Hi, you need to get your "receive" address from your Cardano wallet and send to that address. Just make sure you double check you are entering exactly the correct address!
I tried to send some ADA from Binance to Daedalus but Binance gives me an error message saying that the adress is too long,, do you know why??,, Thank You Very Much!
Please make sure you are using the correct address. You want your wallet's deposit address

Use the latest version of the wallet. Use the "receive" tab. Either send them the QR code or the long string of uppercase and lower case letters

Yes this will be an upcoming feature on the wallet where you can choose which pool you would like to stake with if you wish to stake

I downloaded the Daedalus wallet, transferred ADA into it, and now the wallet won't complete syncing when I try to open it. Any suggestions?

there is a light-weight wallet for ADA / Cardano for android called Yoroi - This wallet also comes in the form of a browser extension - you will be able to stake using this wallet also.

@@EveryBitHelps Ive downloaded 2.0 but it has been stuck on the same page for over 30 minutes.
The icons say:
Green - Cardano node is running
Red - Cardano node not responding
Grey - Checking is cardano node time is correct
Red - Cardano node not syncing
Any advice would be great as im struggling to find any fix information.
I buy ada directly from € at kraken. Exchanges fee are low and withdrawal fees lower than binance. I remember my seeds daedalus seed words by heart

@@andrewgraves4500 buying ada around 3 cents was a good decision seeing now where it is. But I have sold majority of them around 1$ because my "heart this time could not handle these price fluctuations
Crypto.com is so easy to use...if you buy the ADA you can easily transfer to Daedlus lands in the wallet in a few mins..so easy...hey all Crypto.com is the Bee's knee's lol I love it and you can get a visa debit card ...and stake MCO tokens as well ...check it out they also have launched another wallet you have keys for..going to check it out...

this is a terrible wallet , very confusing and terrible support, staking and delegation are terrible
