    I've done couple motorcycles now, and motorcycle owners really like their bikes Shiney! More so, I think, then car owners. That black paint looked fantastic! Great work!!

    I hear you on the panel wipe causing marring on soft black paint. I have definitely run into that problem!

    Hey...great job! I was so hoping you did something showing how to spray the coating on the engine fins and other parts with a compressor and small detail spray gun since I'm working on one now as I text this. Maybe something for future video.😉

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před rokem +1

      Hi. What do you mean spray the coating? These coatings we work with are not sprayable like that. The only ones that are that I know of are certain Modesta coatings.

      @@MirandaDetailing IGL Eclipse is a spray coating(for their pro approved dealers). An airbrush gun with 1mm tip can spray most consumer level coatings. Uses less product too since not losing what's absorbed by the applicator pad. Dallas Paint Correction's T6 sprayable.

    Great finish Phil and when the 2nd coating goes on it looks like the 1st one is trying to reject it..

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před 3 lety +3

      Thanks. Yeah it does that. It’s kinda weird. I also learned from the Gtechniq guys that putting a layer of EXO V4 on Crystal Serum Light is not absolutely necessary. Crystal Serum Light already is a dual layer system with only one application.

    When correction on the non readable parts was you not worried of burning through? I have a Harley to do soon and it’s freaking me out. I can’t read the depth on all the fibreglass parts.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před 2 lety +1

      Well that’s when we inform the customer that we are not going for full correction on those areas since we don’t know the clear cost depth. So 50%-75% correction is what we are going for. 😎👍🏼

      @@MirandaDetailing I said something very similar. Thanks for clarifying your process. There’s too many promoting full correction without measuring imo. Great content!

    do you ceramic coat the engine?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před rokem +1

      Only if they want and pay us to. But it’s kinda pointless to do that.

    • @eedricdude
      @eedricdude Před rokem +1

      @@MirandaDetailing i see. May i ask why it’s pointless to do it? Looking to get mine done and wanna know all the details. Many thanks for the help

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před rokem

      Well ceramic coatings are meant for protection against exterior elements, hydrophobic effects, and ease of cleaning. What parts of the engine would you want a coating on?

    • @eedricdude
      @eedricdude Před rokem +1

      @@MirandaDetailing i was looking to get the engine of my harley davidson road king ceramic coated. Is that advisable?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před rokem +1

      Oh I see. Not a car engine? Ok, so for motorcycles it depends on the surfaces. If it’s chrome you can definitely use coatings on that. In fact Dr Beasleys has a metal coating that’s a cream formula. Or you can use regular paint ceramic coatings also. If the surface is textured like I see on some Harley’s then you really can not coat that because you can’t level the coating on a texture.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před 3 lety +3

      Sure...to each their own, however as a business I always ask the owner if they want things like that removed or left on, he chose to leave it on and we worked around it. But I would never assume and remove parts without asking the customer. We are always careful and protect ourselves, we have encounter so many customers that are crazy and have given us issues in the past.
