there’s something so admirable about how the listener(s?) continues to resist despite all of regulus’ efforts. i’d always felt that in the end they gave in, and hearing that they continue to fight is both enviable and heartbreaking, because, in a way, i feel as though it’d be so much easier to just let regulus win. the desperation in regulus’ voice and the way crux’s voice melts into his near the end is just perfection 🤭🤭
That ending was actually devastating. Well done
It’s so amazing to see how his demeanor from the first video has changed so drastically to be more aggressive and frustrated as he slowly realizes nothing he is doing it working and In the end they will always fight to leave him it makes you wonder how many times he has done this and how much longer before he snaps like he was towards the end of the audio fully and realizes his love is one sided. I swear this could all be a TV show!

I cant help but see Regulus' struggle with his listener as a paralell to the state of the Meridian. The way he talks about how there was once "You and me. And the line between. But now the line is blurring." And how he seems so desperate for that line to disappear. But WE know that if that happens, one side is doomed to be completely overwhelmed and destroyed by the other.
So we as listeners know how important it is that that line between remains, but Regulus seems almost under the impression that something greater will happen if it falls - something that no one else has been dedicated enough to try. "They'd never seen what was on the other side, what could happen if they let the walls fall."
The implications of that are terrifying and I cant wait to see what happens next 👀👀👀👀👀
I have always appreciated the sound design that Erik does, especially in videos/audios like this. In this one in particular I really liked the way that the background buzzing/humming slowly grew. To me it felt like it portrayed the sense of dread or anxiety the listener had while hearing Regulus spiral inside of their mind. Or at least it made me feel anxious so I guess that's a good thing?
Such a fantastic way to start Halloweek, I'm excited to see what's next!!
This is a MASTERPIECE. There is something special about these darker storylines, that really play with perspective and self-delusion and obsession, and how this all comes together is scary and exhilarating in the best way 💖💖
This is so heartbreaking. The listener fighting over and over again, trying to get the upper hand. Grasping the hope that someone is coming to help them.
The lines between Regulus and them blurring, mostly in a way where Regulus' thoughts are the ones on top. But in the end you can hear the listener coming through. "I need to be whole again. I need one second of peace. Why can't you just give me that!" And they gain the power to reach the door and open it.
And it's all for nothing.

It's also a sign of how far gone Regulus is that he seems to regard taking basic corporeal needs like rest and sustainance into account as a struggle. Having a soul link is probably exhausting.

I’m always so amazed by how Erik manages to deliver the emotions through his performances and by the audio layerings that he creates. It’s so impressive! And don’t get me started on his world building… If I listened to the little voices in my head, I would leave civilization for a couple weeks, listen to all his videos again and write down and organize every single piece of lore about the redacted universe. But sadly I can’t do that. So I’ll just continue to be like this: 😯😮😲😧

An answer to one question and a million more questions pop up. At one time in another life we perhaps loved him, but something went south. His overbearing controlling nature came out and we tried to leave. Maybe we succeeded in that life. When we died he never recovered and will spend eternity finding us. It’s really heartbreaking and I’ve considered the ethics of human demon or vamp relationships because of the inevitable.
I hope Erik brings us some peeks into the past. How they met in their first life, how was their first relationship? How exactly does he find them?

I have been left feeling all sorts of emotions, desperation, sorrow, something more sinister, eating away at any possible shred of light, reason, any of it. Getting lost in the narrative, feeling exhausted at wanting something so much, but never obtaining the result you seek. Always is special to me, it means a lot to me. I can understand not everyone takes certain words to heart as much as I do, but I can also understand how much a word can create an impact. So, yes, words can mean different things to others, but the emotion laced with intention, if one really wants to feel it, they do. Holding on so tightly, wanting to not lose something so precious and dear, holding on to the memory of desire, of what your heart, your existence is craving, screaming for-can be torment. Imagining lines blurring together, it brings me to a spiral staircase, used to be two, but they've merged and become one. I am seeing only one way, one path, but the despair is so loud, wanting another outcome, but always ending up in the same spot, same place. I can feel the desire, wanting someone so much, you become them, stay inside them. You are one. Staying so close to someone but it's not enough. When you want, when you crave, desire, something so much, someone so much, close is not close enough.
The intensity of this audio, this script, is terrifyingly beautiful. The way words dance in my mind, lighting up when it resonates within me, makes me feel even more intensely. Leaping into the flames, knowing the fire is there, you will get burned, but don't care, just wanting to feel something, anything. The fire, the fight, I feel will always exist, even when they are about to go out. It is so scary to feel the fight leave someone, leave yourself, giving in to whatever force wants to overtake you. Again, I can see the two paths, two people, two energies, coming together, merging, but there is a distortion as well. I believe the most harrowing bit of all, on this ride, is the buildup, the inner-knowing, the cycles continue to repeat in some shape or form. The mention of human limitations, over and over, really pulls at me, hurts, really. In moments like this, I can't help but wonder what would the outcome be if one gives in. I can feel the urge to reach out, touch, bringing the flames to life, keeping them for yourself, burning self over and over again. Will giving in bring true peace? Is it an illusion, another distortion? Being able to give self over fully, disregarding everything, anything, just listening to the words, a part of you has been wanting to hear, forgetting, not wanting to fight it anymore, and simply giving in. I wonder about a lot of things, but the pace of this storyline is dark, delicious, too. Deep within, we all hold a curiosity for more understanding of self, of others, of existing, but in dark moments, feeling unempowered can lead to one's possible downfall. The true horror lies when an emotion as beautiful as love becomes tainted, due to external experiences, or anything in between.
I give myself to you. I'm yours. Love exists, love is there. I choose love, I choose you. I can be your peace, pleasure, and bliss, too. Confessions from the heart, beating true to one's song, all of this, can create a completely different outcome. The proverbial downfall can shift into something different, something that grounds instead of creating limitations. The haunting imagery depicted in the storytelling really grabbed me, kept me in place, wanting to know more, even though it was going to lead me down another rabbit hole. I must admit, the line, "I tore your paper empire to shreds and I ate the pieces to make them mine," stirred something within me. Goodness, this the first installment of Halloweek and I'm already on my knees in prayer. Thank you, Erik, for your hard work, always.

I've really been enjoying the layered audio in Regulus' videos so far. With my insomnia through the roof at the moment, I thought, I'd come and listen to the currently last two Regulus videos, and maybe the cool sound layering would help me get sleepy. I loved them in the earlier vids. 😵💫What a delusion that was on my part! 😆I'm wide awake now!!! 😳😅
I did *not* expect that ending! When this droning sound got more and more intense, I imagined the listener literally crawling to the door slowly, trying not to pass out from the onslaught to their mind. It was practically numbing to listen to in such a strange way. And then the shock of opening the door and... THAT! 😱 When for a few seconds all your thoughts go blank. That must be the kind of feeling you get, when a grizzly bear or something charges. That shocked acceptance when you know, okay, it's over. 😑

I really like the halo sound effect of this audio. It's very alluring and kind of uncomfortable in a subtle way. You end up being forced to pay deep attention to the dialogue,forced anchoring. Really nice Indras web way to underline the difference between forevers. Great content as per usual.

The way despair and crazed desperation built up in Regulus’ voice was gut wrenching and when it all stopped just for his voice to peek into “Krux” was devastating. He’s tearing himself apart while trying to keep up over and over. And it’s heartbreaking for both sides, even though I despise him so much

When they were rescued from Vega and taken to the Department, Cam helped Baby 2.0 and Crux helped Ivan with memory modification. We haven’t seen Crux with Regulus, but assume because he was also detained like Vega, Regulus came in contact with him at some point…especially because Cam does know who Regulus is. He helped with this listener.
