- The Defense Forces of Ukraine defeated russian units that tried to storm Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka at the village of Tonenke. Photos of the aftermath of the failed russian assault have appeared on social media. Warriors of the 25th Airborne Brigade of Ukrainian Air Assault Forces managed to eliminate russian occupiers. This is the biggest amount of armor that was used in one assault since the beginning of the war. 12 tanks and eight BMPs were taken out!

Ukraine should be provided with an enough fighter aircraft to form airforce;, such as F-16s and longer-range precision munitions, including ATACMS (more of them, and the longest-range versions should be sent to them), and the russian military facilities inside of russian territory should be considered legitimate targets. It is worth noting that support for military aid to Ukraine in America is over 80% and increasing. This is because Americans understand that not only is aiding Ukraine the morally right thing to do, it is the practical thing to do also. America has spent something like approximately 6% of our military budget so far to aid Ukraine. However, more than half of the russian army has been destroyed. This is a tremendous bargain by any measure! In addition, when russia is defeated in this war, their barbaric ideology of imperialism will also be defeated, making Europe a much more peaceful and stable place for decades - as well as preventing a new arms race in the region. That is why billions of dollars spent today to aid Ukraine saves trillions of dollars tomorrow. The vast majority of Americans understand this fact. Americans also want Ukrainian military and civilian casualties minimized. This is why Americans are correct to support providing military aid to Ukraine.
Please write to your elected representatives to request this military aid. If you are an American citizen, please consider writing to President Biden and your other elected representatives, and demand Ukraine be given the above weapons - in war-winning quantities, and promptly. The sooner America provides Ukraine the weapons it requires to liberate all of its territory, the sooner this war will be done, and with fewer Ukrainian casualties. Letters can be submitted electronically via the Whitehouse website. One can also conduct a google search for ones' elected representatives -~- many of which have similar websites. One may simply write and submit a letter electronically to make one's desire known.

Gregory, I know there are a lot of people in the US beating themselves up over support for Ukraine or lack thereof, but its not just you guys being reticent or timid of getting involved. We see all around the free world people espousing concern for their own countries supplying arms and support to Ukraine. I believe that the whole free world has been asleep at the wheel, people's perceptions have been insidiously shaped by years of subtle propaganda emanating from Russia and from within their own communities and through other entities. People are starting to wake up to that threat but it will take a long time and concerted efforts to reverse those perceptions. The internet and social media has brought immense benefits to humankind, but we perhaps we failed to see the dangers that bad players in that space could pose, truth unfortunately can be bent is so many ways to the point where even if it slaps you in the face you dont accept it as truth.

As always, I find this to be quite informative! As an American who supports Ukraine (and who may have ancestry from Odesa), I'm glad that even with the admittedly limited resources, Ukraine was still able to remove from service 12 Russian tanks and 8 BMPs (by the way, the English abbreviation is IFV, meaning "infantry fighting vehicle").

Anna keep being hopeful. For European countries like UK, Poland, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, The Baltic states and many others are behind you. France recently has raised the bar and good on it all these countries remember the cost to them of WW2 and see parallels to how WW2 started to what is going on now. Germany and Italy hold back because they still feel guilt for WW2. They need to let that go and demonstrate they learned their lesson by supporting the right side fully.

"BMP" apparently stands for Boyevaya Mashina Pyekhoty (Russian: Боевая Машина Пехоты), meaning "infantry fighting vehicle". It combines the characteristics of an armoured personnel carrier and a light tank.
And devastating the wildlife and the vegetation. 💔
That's the really hard part to see too, yes. The AFU have been saving as many animals as possible, even on the frontlines they have been taking in orphaned animals. Pretty amazing during war!!! They care so much for wildlife.

Oh Anna 😂 you Always sound so stern, tough, optimistic and positive! Even though you regularly clarify how horrific the Russian assaults on civilian life often is. Fully agree with you. Brutal senseless invasions is of the nineteenth century! It is clear: Russian troops have no rights on Ukranian territory. So, they need to stay far away, outside of the demiliterized zone in Russia, 100km away from the 1991 border. Or should that be 200km??? Success!!
