- President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address talked about Donetsk City Day and Miner's Day. ‘Donetsk has always been one of the richest and strongest cities in Ukraine. Mining has always been one of the most respected professions,’ Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed. Now Donbas is almost destroyed by Russian strikes, devastated. The proud and glorious Ukrainian Donetsk was humiliated by the Russian occupation and robbed. President assured that the dignity of the people of Donbas will return, the ability to live will return. ‘The opportunity to live safely and happily. This is exactly what our Ukrainian flag will symbolize when we set it up in Donetsk, Horlivka, Mariupol, in all cities of Donbas, Azov area, in all areas under Russian occupation - in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson regions. I hope that Ukrainian army is prepared for the winter, that soldiers have proper winter gear to maximize their combat effectiveness. I somehow doubt Russian army is prepared, which will make it frozen hell so Ukrainian army should wisely take advantage of the winter element.

I use to go through Donetsk, on my way to Mariupol, for a vacation, every year. I remember once, driving through the city, with my Ukrainian girlfriend, and her sister. They were from there, and so proud of their city, showing me 200 year old buildings, for example. But I remember, in 2010 when I was staying there a few days, close to a college campus. I had to use their computer room, for doing emails. There were many college students there, and I think, all of them, were playing video games, of wars and fighting !
