@@JulianNial Spain deserved the 0 more than anyone IMO. It was a very boring and self-indulgent song, even if sung well, and it was NOT sung well. At least Germany was entertaining and the UK song is actually pretty catchy. And don’t even get me started on the Netherlands. That was the real crime among all the zeroes.
Did everyone listen to my warning about San Marino's entry before the contest? Back in March 2021 I realized that San Marino was the GameStop of Eurovision and I told everyone to take Adrenalina very seriously.
I think they're so low because of Flo Rida. I mean it's so stupid they brought him there he's not even from San Marino. If he wouldn't have been there, this song would definitely be in my top 10.
And that's why internal selections are usually a bad idea. You don't know what impact these songs have on a larger public beforehand, even though they can be great.
@@lex8174 Exactly. It's very difficult to achieve such a result and this year we had three songs with at least 1 point from anywhere. That explains the low scores from 15th to 26th: top 7 totally smashed the televote
I think the combined voting is more accurate than both juries and televoters. In my opinion the bottom 4 deserved to be there but not with 0 points. Also, Belgium and Albania deserved the final and should have been higher than what televoters put them.
@@Escuniverse4168 Accurate for what? Juries are just small groups of people, what do they adjust really? In Poland they were just random people who were told by our TV broadcaster "give 12 points to San Marino because I like them" - is that really what should be put up there equally to 12 points from the public?
@@LovelyAngel. Or course, some juries are manipulated, I don't deny that, but I think the three best vocalists with modern well produced pop song or well produced French power ballads were awarded with a top 3 and that was fair. Without juries we would have had Belgium and Albania out of the final and that doesn't feel right to me and many people out there
To be fair to her, she had been a favourite to win for a while before rehearsals. It’s always tough to flop when experts thought you’d to well. Also she’s 18 years old.
@@tovekauppi1616 true about her age, but she should've been coached better. You can't go into this contest convinced you'll win it. There were other favorites this year like France so her attitude looked arrogant to me. She is a great singer, but I was annoyed to see that
@@21sashalee she probably didn’t expect to win, but 47 points was way less than most people expected. She got less points from the public than countries like Norway, Sweden and Moldova. To me she just came across as really nervous, which is totally understandable in that situation. And of course she’s disappointed.
@@tovekauppi1616 it is now revealed that Maltese delegation spend a big part of their budget to get Destiny to the top in the betting odds. They literally created all the hype around her artificially, and it's also proven that a large portion of views on her music video is bots

Well, ikr, Germany did well in tele, eight countries put it in top15 UK received 14 place from Malta Spain 12th from Portugal Unfortunately The Netherlands had only reached 18th in Belgium Tele Averagely UK, Spain & The Netherlands were ranked 22-23 Germany - 16th I 🇷🇺 voted for 🇩🇪 😟
Ukraine was so special! I think Italy and Ukraine's singer were both incredibly charismatic and I was so happy to see they also get along very well and support each other!
I'm just glad the coutnry with the most public votes won. I would have been mad if jury votes messed that up. It's upsetting enough Ukraine didn't get the recognition they deserved during the first half of votings. The jury votes were SO OFF
as a swede, and a lil biased obv, it makes me happy to see sweden being no 11 for the tele vote...but it surprises me just as much bc 1: i didn't really like our entry and 2: europe did not seem to like our entry either lmao but italy got my vote and they won so im happy anyway
@@muhammed1499 it's eurovision SONG contest. Trashy stuff like Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Malta and San Marino isn't considerable a song, that's why they ended up low 🥰

OK Let’s admit that 3 points to Belgium is TOTALLY A CRIME! they deserved at least to be in the left side of table. and San Marino and Azerbaijan underrated either
@@Dirkdebi everyone loved Italy’s song and a lot of people didn’t like Azerbeijan, there were evan petition to not let them perform because the siger is problematic
We know that zero points is zero points, but these 4 were tied, and when someone is tied, we look at their performing numbers... That means that the Netherlands was last and UK 23th (Spain 24th, Germany 25th)
Bulgaria and Azerbaijan deserved better, but other than that I liked the top 11 in the final except for Iceland, which I found a little overrated, especially with the fact that they were quarantined from home
Belgium was robbed really badly. Bulgaria and Portugal deserved that top 10 spot, every year at least a song in the 11th-13th, if not all the three songs, deserves a spot in the top 10.
Hi Gianmarco! I hope you really enjoyed the show and that moment :) Maneskin really rock Rotterdam and the whole Europe. So happy for them and fully deserved :) I really regret that I didn't vote for Portugal 😅 I though it would do better tbh. A song like that probably needed to be later in this tough year maybe. Sad for Belgium and Bulgaria but kind of expected. Specially with televote. I felt Juries were so predictable and lazy. It looked like they just checked the odds before voting and we got that result. I was a bit bored with the jury sequence tbh but then televote came thru to spice it up. I watched it with friends.. and from start to end.. was pretty epic. xd I was just so happy with public voting (as usual xD) and the outcome. People really said no to divas and generic pop. So refreshing :) Great night ^^
@@nilerra8181 Hey Nil, happy to hear you. It was an intense night and I had been some busy the next days. Anyway I really enjoyed the show and almost didn't believe Måneskin won. They were not my favorites but they truly deserved that win, especially thanks to the voters at home, I like they finally gave us the victory again 😀 I am really happy in the last ten years Italy is the only country that won the televoting Twice and was top 3 four times. I am proud of my country in ESC. Hope France will follow our steps... at the end of the sesson, I can chose my definitive winner of 2021 and it's Voilà. Barbara hoped to win of course but she looked so classy and not a sore loser, like many people in Italy believe because of media, she also supported Damiano against drug accusations by random French people, who just wanted their country to win... this was disgusting. I hope the contest will be held in Rome in 2022, maybe I will be able to get there easily at the night of the final! Who did you vote for in the final? I skipped Go_A, they were clearly going to get 12 from Italy, so I gave two votes to Barbara and one to Gjon, Hooverphonic and Victoria. Sad only Barbara got any points, was hoping at least for Gjon and/or Vicoria to score something in our televoting. Moldova got 2 points, that's even too low for them, considering Moldova usually got 8-12...😅 Anyway I was kinda upset with Belgium result, although I totally expected it, but Hooverphonic were really among the best, they didn't need a great staging to elevate their music, but unfortunately running order + most appealing and best staging ballads destroyed them; also juries what are you doing? 13th place, really? They gave them 70 points in the SF, about the same score Sennek got in 2018, speachless. Little disappointed for Portugal and Bulgaria, which deserved that top 10 spot more than Greece in my opinion and seeing Vicoria rank 11th for losing a tie break is a bit sad. Still both of them did great and I am very proud of them, they really got a redemption for this kind of slow emotional songs, that are always overlooked by fans and still reached the left side of the scoreboard. Also 3rd and 4th in the semi, over the amazing Blind Channel. I liked Blind Channel before but in the final, I enjoyed them even more, they improved the vocals so much from the NF. Stefania and Eden were a bit disappointing for me in the final, comparing to the semi performances, but I can underatand it's not easy, they were still great. This time I am happy with juries and televoters in the same way. They both had postives and negatives. Other than the fact juries saved Switzerland, Bulgaria and Portugal, I really appreciated that they gave those high scores to Ukraine and Russia. At the end you were right, they did not go for the safe options! Go_A managed to be 5th because juries didn't destroy them (well, still big discrepance but 92 points is a big improvement from past years). Manizha got a better score with jury than the public, that was unexpected. Also juries saved Anxhela from NQ, another ethnic song that was appreciated by them. I can't dislike them this year, even if like you said their top 5 was really odds friendly. Still I am happy with the top 3 of the juries, I think they should evaluate song quality + performes ability and felt like Gjon had a bit of an edge compring to Barbara, who was more emotional, but maybe even more simple and the song was much easier to sing, also Gjon had to move so much. Destiny did great, I really didn't like Je Me Casse before, but live it came to life, for me 7th is a deserved result and juries had to recognize her great vocals and charisma. I really can't hate juries that much this year, they did a nice job. Lithuania deserved to be out of the top 10 solely with the juries in my opinion, since the song was definitely not a stand out, it's still a normal pop song for me, something I didn't feel wirh On Fire, but I am really keen about the fact they still reached 8th place overall, it's deserved since they are so good and fun live. The fact Sweden got a better score with the public was so refreshing. I hope the fandom stops with this Sweden-hate thing, I also think they are overrated but it's not like Sweden bribe juries, they just send what jurors usually vote for. Other than Belgium, I didn't like the fact they gave that high score to Moldova, but we all know why... I liked televoters too. That top 8 with the televoting was really deserved. Hurricane a bit overrated, but I guess that's the Balkan power. I didn't expect televoters to destroy every pop girl in the final except for Hurricane, I though at least one other of them had a chance to get like at least 60 points. I really liked Mata Hari live, much more than the generic El Diablo, Sugar and even Loco Loco, I think Efendi deserved more. But I am so grateful for the overall outcome, we had songs in English, Italian, French, Ukrainian and Russian in the top 10; two rock songs, two power ballads, one folk/ethnic song, one traditional/rap song and two quirky pop songs all in the top 10. This is the strongest and most diverse top 10 we ever had, it seems too good to be true, like Destiny would say ahah. Sorry for the very long comments, but I really enjoyed this edition and felt like it was one of the strongest in recent years, maybe not the semis, but the final was really full of high quality acts and all my friends who followed the show were pleasently surprised. I hope the edition in Italy will be amazing. I am really glad to hear you again, Nil, hope everything's fine in Spain. Good night 😉 PS: I needed to add two more things. First, I think the running order played a major rose in this edition, more than any others in past years. Second, I feel bad for Albina ans Fyr og Flamme. The former being kicked out after actually having qualified with both juries and televoters and Denmark after received 80 points from televoters, having scored in every country except Moldova. I am sad for them.
@@Escuniverse4168 I've been busy as well and still trying to digest this Esc. I was so happy for Maneskin. They really felt like the right winners :) Incredibke performance. I think this win will do very good to Eurovision. And it was about time for Italy heh. I also hope France will follow. I really want them to win Esc asap. I like France proved they can do very well with televote so no excuses heh. Barbara was amazing. I still can't believe I didn't really love her back in January or February 😅. She's so classy yes. My mom even text me about France on the night. That was the moment when I knew France was going to do very well xd I felt bad about the whole drama or controversy. People are too bored or idk. It's just a contest and should be about coming together and not being just desesperate to win. Anyway xd. I just hope both Damiano and Barbara managed to enjoy their moment. Both won a lot of things imo. I'm very curious about which city will host and how RAI will pull this. It'll be interesting to follow hehe. Rome would be great specially because of Maneskin you know. And if it's that's best option for you as well even more!. Hope you will have the chance to live Esc like that :) You skipped Go_A but I didn't haha 😁 I really went with heart and voted for Ukraine and Iceland. That's what I felt. and I didn't want to choose between Italy or France and I knew they didn't need my vote like your case with Go_A 😆. I also didn't want to jinx xD I was a bit surprised Barbara and Gjon did that poor with Italian televote. Specially Barbara. Gjon's performance was maybe too Melfest Idk. 2 points for Moldova was even too much but yes surprising low xd. Kirkorov or Dream team were more focus in other countries I guess to get easy votes for Moldova or Greece xd As for Hooverphonic, Idk what really happened. Staging was fine for me but maybe it was too dark and the whole vibe wasn't just what people wanted in this moment maybe. Juries you already said it xd. Top 10 should have been option. But they went for Bulgaria I guess Idk. Running order was terrible but someone has to perform easly 😅 Portugal and Bulgaria deserved easily that 10th place over Greece. I was sad when Victoria lost it. I was just happy for Blind Channel. I watched it with friends and everybody loved it xD It was bit Keiino's moment lol. I love their personality and they really deserved it. This Esc really belongs to bands and I was so happy for that as they have been very underrated many times. About time xd This time juries and televote were bit more balanced I guess yes. The only thing I'd chance with juries is that Malta was still a bit overrated and Ukraine or Lithuania deserved even a bit better imo but overall good. I always trust Go_A were going to have enough passion behind to get some Jury love heh. I was more surpised about Manizha but I'm so glad I was wrong. I was shocked She only got 100 televoting points tho. We can talk about this another moment but I was surprised with some televoting things XD I think Anxhela was saved by juries thanks to that Melfest staging and SJB factor but I might be wrong xd She was very good live tho :) I wasnt surprised Gjon had the edge over Barbara with juries for the same reason. Maybe his performance was seen more artistic and Barbara as you said was more simple and emotional. They remineded a bit of Portugal/Bulgaria 2017 situation xd. With Destiny, I might be bad with this but I enjoyed that low televoting score tbh. I feel bad for her because of what other people did.. but I was just relieved xd I think I'll be able to enjoy her entry more from now on. With Lithuania we don't agree that much heh. I didn't have Discoteque in my Top 5 probably but still a good song for me and I just really like The Roop and they deserved it after these 2 years. Like I said.. I was really rooting for all these bands this year 😅. And one of my favorites jury moments was when the Italian jury gave them 12 points if I'm honest. Next to Lithuania's 12 to Ukraine or Czechia's 12 to Portugal 😆 Some variety is always good. With Sweden, I was just happy it didn't flop with televote. Tusse didn't deserved all that hate and there were a few worse entries in that final. The Moldova thing xD Kirkorov is fascinanting tho As for televote, I was so happy with the outcome as usual. That Top 7 was just very solid and impossible to discuss. As I said before, I expected a bit better for Russia.. which is shocking to say 😅. Pop girls did flop in the final but almost all of them did advance from Semifinls tho. Fascinanting. I think there was no clear stand out and passion wasn't just enough to get points. I liked Efendi better in the SF maybe because I was surprised. I expected a higher televote tho. But I was happy TIX did quite well. He could have done even better in a year less strong I feel. At least he would have gotten some televoting point from us xd. Anyway, overall.. Italy, Ukraine and France as Top 3 is just perfection for me. Music and language. And as you said it was a very diverse Top 10 and probably this will encourage other countries to be more open and try new things :) Always nice to read your long comments and opinions. We just need to find the moment to answer but it's always interesting. Glad your friends enjoyed the show and hopefully 2022 will be even better :) . I have to say I'm so happy everything will start from 0 😅 P.S. I haven't read into much running order yet but you might be right. There will be time to see it. I still even have to digest all the new voting data 😁 And I'm still upset and sad for Fyr og Flamme 😌 I even voted for them in the end.. but juries did everything to stop them. I just hope Denmark will send Danish again at some point.
@@nilerra8181 Hi, these few last days have been really busy and hard for me, like I always study late and then I am to tired to write in English. Anyway today, I am fine so I am finally going to reply you. Sorry for the late answer, Nil😅 I don't know if you are following charts all over Europe and the world, but Måneskin are smashing them. They are 17th in the Global Chart and also 11th in the USA Billboard Chart, they're really getting the fame they desereve, their performance was entertaining and full of energy. And like you said this will do very good to ESC in future years, hope to see more good rock acts, like Jorn from MGP 2021, I still listen to his song. The fact France did better on the televoting is amazing, I knew people at home would get her, despite mainly searching for happy amd party mood after lockdowns, but she is just such an amazing performer and singer. I love the fact your mother texted Voilà, she always gets the right songs/singers (after Victor Crone in 2019😁). Luckily, the whole Italy/France controversy faded two or three days after the Grand Final, but for me it was sad amd frustrating to see even some people I know bashing and insulting Barbara and Gjon for being "sore losers". Most of them are just nationalistic people who don't care about the contest and the artists (they don't even care about Måneskin), but just root for they country to win. I think this can be applied both to Italian and French people. About the Host City, it looks like Coletta really wants ESC to be held in Rome, but they need to talk about it the next week, let's see. I hope they will consider we won't have the contest back in Italy without Måneskin 😉 I love the fact you voted for Dadi and Go_A, both in my top 5. Go_A are actually like second or third in my top, but really they did not need my help, we all knew they were going to rule Italian televoting. Also they are having great support from many Italians, Shum even got some plays in Italian radios, that's insane, Euphoria was the last Eurovision Song getting some attention here (well, except Think About Things in 2020 of course). I was sad to see both Gjon and Victoria out with the Italian televoting and Barbara getting only one point, but at the end Italian voters often care to support about special/ethnic and uptempo acts more than ballads, even if they are very emotional and authentic. Remember Italy was the country who gave the lowest public score to Salvador in 2017. Likely, Kirkorov amd The Dream Team worked hard in Eastern Europe to get easy votes from there. In the semi final Moldova was 1st in 8 telvoting countries, only to score 0 in the Grand Final with half of them. Kirkorov's magic can do wonders. About Spanish televoting, I wanted to point out that Rocìo actually helped Barbara, Gjon and Victoria, they were all in the top 4 alongside Måneskin with Barbara getting the 12. I was so happy to see Spain gave 24 to Barbara. Måneskin didn't get any form of advantage, but they still got 10😎. Shame on Spanish juries who selected all the safest acts, skipping Ukraine, Italy and Finalnd, it was really sad to watch on the detailed data. With Hoovperhonic, I agree but still 3 points was way too hard, I expected at least The Netherlands to give them some points, not 12, but something. I knew Lithuania would have given them something, they even heavily supported Sennek in that hard SF1 in 2018😉 By the way juries had no excuses, from what I saw, The Wrong Place was the more divisive song for individual jurors (closely followed by Shum), getting both many 1st and 26th places in individual rankings, meaning they were the most helped ones with the Exponantial system to calculate jury score. With the old one they would have probably got 22nd or 21st idk. I think Bulgaria being there may have hurt them, but still juries are often just random after the first places in my opinion. Just look at some rankings, such as Michela Pace's one. A shame indeed. She put Gjon and Go_A 25th and 24th respectively, I don't think any professional would do this. I got really sad and kinda mad the moment when Victoria got 11th for losing a tie break😅 I even kinda liked Greece, but I would have preferred to have it in the top 15. Blind Channel great, their song is really stage friendly, I also listen to Dark Side quite often, but on TV they give a whole different vibe. One of the best performances and deserved 6th place. With juries, we slightly disagree. I was okay with Destiny being third, but I would not say this if she got more points than France or Switzerland. Ukraine deserved even more with juries, I agree, but maybe I was so pessimistic that I got satisfied with only 90 points and a 9th place, they were still the most hurted by juries. You can't understand how much I was happy to see both Ukraine and Russia in the top 10 even before the televoting sequence. Unexpected and deserved. Manizha got a bit underrated by the public in the end, getting one single 12 points from televoting, really strange considering less appealing acts from Russia got better scores in the past. I think I like her more than Sergey and Polina, I just feel she is more true and genuine on stage. And you know I am not a fan of rap, but I have an open mind. Except Greece, which I would replace with either Portugal or Bulgaria, I am satisfied with this top 10, even if The Roop and Destiny would not be in my personal one, but they elevated so much live and I already knew I would love The Roop, but didn't expect to enjoy Destiny at all. I was really scared juries could make her win at the start of the season, but this just couldn't happen. I have to be honest and say I was happy too when Destiny got like 50 points from the public because I wanted Barbara to be as high as possible with the public alone, but still felt sad for her, she was already disappointed with the jury voting, I guess she knew she had no chance to get a a score with the tele. I'd say both The Roop and Destiny did a great job and I enjoy them much more live than in studio. I'm so sad I am not so keen on as Discoteque, especially considering On Fire was my winner in 2020 in SF1, but I just got a better connection, felt like it was less ripetitive and stood out more to me idk. It's sad to do comparisons of course, but I really can't avoid, especially when I love the artists. You get a good point with the Salvador/Kristian comparison, although I'd say I loved Gjon much more than Kristian. I rember I really loved Beautiful mess back in 2017, but that song and especially the performance really aged badly in my view; on the other hand Amar Pelos Dois is in my top 10 of best ESC acts in the 2010s. Sorry I got out of topic. Groups really deserve the award they got, it's amazing we had all of them in the final (well, except for the duo from Denmark😔) and 7 of them in the top 15! For once, the unsual 12 points from Italian juries weren't awarded to sonething random. My favorite jury monent was definitely Go_A getting 12 points from Lithuania though, that can't be overcome. I will be curious to read about your surprises with tele, when you will get free time of course. Tusse and TIX got such an amount of unjustified hate and that comes from a big KEiiNO's fan. TIX would have surely got some points from Spain's and Italy's voters in a weaker year. I remember you felt like this edition was a bit weak and entries missed passion, I guess you totally changed your mind since february/march😆 I had like the same feel back then, but at the end I enjoyed the songs live much more than I did in other past years. Maybe (almost) all the pop girls qualified from the semis, beacuse there people only had like 4 or 5 of them and of course the genral "quality" was lower, but when they really got their votes split in the final. There were 7 of them + Greece, so really toomich for viewers who only watch Grand Final maybe. You are totally right about the televoting top 7, I would extend it to the top 8, even if like I already said Manizha deserved a bit more, but those 8 were really great and impactful. Italy, Ukraine and France in the top 3 looks "too good to be true". Måneskin, Barbara an Go_A are getting big rewards all around Europe and this really shows how good voters's taste was once again. I'm sorry for the 0 pointers, they desereved more, but the year was too competitive I guess. I hope Spain amd Germamy wil step up their game next year, they look to take the cotest more seriosuly than UK, so I give them faith. Blas was great by the way, but the song was not impactful enough when you had other 5 slow tempo, but more memorable songs. This season has been so tense, I am not missing anything to be honest even if I loved it, but we all need some rest. I really hope 2022 won't be a failure. Many people here are worried RAI can destroy the contest, but I am faithful they will surprise us. I did not see detailed voting from Semis, but Destiny, Eden, Elena, Hooverphonic and Black Mamba all had much worse scores in the semi final than in the final, while it was the opposite way with Tusse. The difference was really big, especially with Destiny of course. Fyr og Flamme not making was the biggest disappointment for me too. I even wanted Vincent in, but I could see why people did not enjoy his song. But juries can't ve forgiven for this, it's even worse than Verona. I mean, I get the song is "dated" or whatever but was it really worse than Estonia and Poland? Moldova, then...that song is still in my nightmares at night😂 By the way, after two years I will miss a bit Gjon, Dadi, The Roop, Victoria, Roxen, etc... after two years I really got attached to these artists. It will be a whole new start. As you know, I really enjoy these long chats, we just need to find the right moment to reply. Hope these days you feel better after this exhausting season
@@Escuniverse4168 Don't worry for the late answer. I feel the same about writing English 😅 specially when it's something long and most of times as Mahmood would say... My head is ciao 😆 Your writing is very good always tho :) I do follow Maneskin news heh. I'm glad they are doing this well on the charts. I wanna be your slave is also getting popular and their albums are selling very well. European tour is the next step I guess. They will be very busy I think xd. Their performance was just fantastic. It seemed RAI really cared for the performance this time. With budget and everything. The intro was the strongest I can remember for Italy (maybe Il Volo was close) but it felt like Italy probably won that televote even before Damiano started to sing you know XD. Anyway those youtube views speak for themselves I guess xd. As for the meaning of this win, I hope we'll see other rock entries but at the same time.. If countries try to copy or follow.. you know.. It probably won't work. Eurovision is complicated and we know there's no rules :) What delegations should probably take from this win imo.. it's that they should have open minds to listen all kind of song and artists. Anything can work at Eurovision which is why many people enjoy it :) I think the lockdown was a factor with the voting or the mood probably. as you said, we all thought people wanted some fun or energy in these times but I always had a feeling that France had a chance because Barbara and Voilà had like escapism factor in some way Idk 😅 i really don't know how to explain it but It wasn't that sad, dark or depressing like others. Idk 😆 And it could easily stood out in this year's line up. Many things were in her favour heh. My mom is always point haha. I always trust her or my friends to give me like honest opinions or reactions xd The whole Italy/France drama was a bit too much. Specially if it goes like personal to the artists, but at the same time I guess when a country is so close to win, it's understandable. And some people is very passionate you know xd Spaniard fans would act very similar I think (or even worse xd). It'll be interesting if we see a France-Italy match in the Euro xD Go_A and Dadi really deserved my votes. Watching my friends reaction for Iceland's performance was very emotional for me somehow. They really really loved it. And it was a very weird feeling because I was so happy for that.. yet a bit sad because 2020 and Think About Things you know. Very weird xd Anyway, I'm glad Italian televote really voted for Iceland :) Maybe Think About Things being played last year helped but it made sense anyway heh. I always expected Dadi to do very well in Italy. Shum getting 12 was a no brainer yup. Too good and iconic + Ukraine. And I was very pleased with Finland. I was expecting some points but never those 8 points 😅. I thought Iceland or Lithuania could have been higher than Finland. Or Russia ofc. I thought Victoria could get some points but I guess the competition was too tough. And the Bulgarian diaspora seems to get weaker except in Spain and UK. Very different from 2016 or 2017 when they looked like a powerhouse. Switzerland for some reason really struggles with Italian televote. I find it bizarre. I tend to expect more points and then they disappoint somehow. I really don't know if it's because they calculate too much or why. It also happened with Luca in 2019. Anyway Eurovision magic I guess xd. With France, I thought they could do better like Salvador or Duncan. Like 4 or 5 points maybe. And France has been getting points these past years and they were stronger this time.. But Italians as you said.. weren't into ballad's mood this year I guess. Another reason might be.. the target audience. This year in Italy, was probably younger and that helped some entries. Idk 😅 As for Spain's televote. I think it was one of the most logical maybe xd Like not many weird things unlike others xd Rocio factor indeed clearly helped both Barbara and Gjon. I wasn't 100% sure but yes. They would have done also well without it probably.. But some promotion didn't hurt. Maneskin got all the young vote easy I think 😎 but you know Italy always does amazing😆. Just like in France, Belgium or Austria. People just love to vote for Italy I guess :) The rest of the Spanish televote went mostly to the favourites as usual. I thought Portugal would do better tho. Like 5 or 6 points. I thought it was gonna be next to Iceland more or less. In the SF, they got 12 points over Bulgaria tho xd With Spanish juries no words. Not surprised, yet disappoined xd They always vote safe. As you said, never for something rock or ethnic or edgy. And ofc they gave many points to the generic entry from Cyprus xd It's 5 different people every year yet it looks like the same people are voting xd I don't know if you have the same feeling with Italian jury. I thought the same with Lithuania and Hooverphonic 😆 They gave a lot points to Sennek in 2018. Their televote has been loving the Italian entries a lot lately as well. I can say.. Lithuania.. land of taste. One of my favourite countries with their votings I think. And they seem to really love Eurovision. And with The Wrong place, I was a bit worried at some point.. Juries were going to do a Blackbird.. so I'm not that surprised it was actually a bit divisived as you said I guess. Still a shame xd I thought EBU didn't reveal this time the name's jurors with their votes. Like with Jesc. I will have to check it then. Shame on Michela tho. But jurors are just random sometimes Idk. My only problem with Destiny being this high with juries was like we had a field this year with a lot artists that wrote their own songs and also perform very well.. But maybe her song and her vocals were worthy enough yes, I just would have put other entries above If I were a juror probably. Like Portugal or Belgium. Puting my personal taste aside. Idk it's complicated. The 0's moment was brutal. Like it was funny at the moment.. I have to be honest xd But it was a wake up call to these Big 5 countries. Imo I feel Germany really wants to do something most of times even tho they fail but UK or Spain are just lazy Idk. Hopefully this might change something. I agree this season has been just too long and tense. Even for the artists. I don't really wanna imagine what they have been feeling. Must have been hard. I'll be missing some of them but I really hope we'll see new faces next year. I really need it xd Specially in national finals. I'm just so happy everything will start from 0 xd I hope RAI will do a great job. I guess people is worried because of 1991 but that was a memorable contest at least xd I trust RAI and as long they do something with personality, it would be fine for me. They will have a lot of work tho.. now that I think about it.. with both Sanremo and Eurovision xd. Anyway, it will be excitng to see how they will do it. And the hosts and everything. Can't wait :) I wanted to write more but I'm tired 😔. Maybe tomorrow I might add something else. I'm gonna write something about televoting surprised for sure and we can discuss :) I think I missed some things 😌
For anyone saying Malta deserved better it didn't, just another fail attempt to copy American culture and their songs. Cyprus was almost identical to Bad romance from Lady Gaga, but at least she wasn't trying to hard to be a wannabe diva. It is supposed to be the best song not the best country so there's no point in esc when we already know which country is going to win with its same boring generic song every single year. Jury votes are yet another way of manipulating the winner, which is why we have terrible differences in placing for countries like Bulgaria, Portugal, Serbia, Malta, Belgium, Ukraine where jury undermined and overrated some countries. Well done Ukraine btw you really deserved all those points from the general public- authentic, representing their country, in their own language which ultimately should be the point of eurovision. Generally speaking Italy was a breath of fresh air, Azerbaijan completely underrated, Iceland overrated, many other songs alredy heard... It's no shocker some of the good countries that competed before, with great song btw, choose not to anymore. Some of the automatic qualifiers didn't deserve their place in the finals compared to some of the really good songs that lost their place in semifinals. What's interesting is that the countries which are on average every year amongst top 10 at esc rarely ever win, which is sad. Can't wait the next year for another boring, publicly acceptable song to win. 😒
I totally agree with that! I still haven't forgiven the jury for taking the victory away from Keino and Il Volo, both deserving artists representing their culture just to let some radio friendly english song win (nothing against Mans or Duncan though, I just don't think they should have won considering the majority of televoters loved another song more)
To me also Malta and especially Cyprus felt more like products that were designed to attract as many voters as possible. That's why I appreciate singers who sing about something that is close to their hearts like Spain. Spain was absolutely beautiful!
nope I voted for it and I ain't ukrainian. It simply was the best song. It was also voted by every single country participating so there goes your point.
yeah, cause there are 10 millions of ukrainian people in every single country in europe. Just fyi, the largest ukrainian diaspora is in Russia (well, obviously), Canada and USA (and let me tell you, they are not voting in ESC
I want the Jury votes gone! If I where ever to perform for esc and win, becaue of the Jury votes, I would feel like I had stolen the 1st place from the real winner!
The 4 zero points all being at the beginning was so brutal 😂😂
as a German I was so relieved we weren't the only ones getting 0 hahaha
In the UK we were just pissing ourselves laughing when it was announced. Anything higher than nil points is unexpected here every year
@@JulianNial Spain deserved the 0 more than anyone IMO. It was a very boring and self-indulgent song, even if sung well, and it was NOT sung well. At least Germany was entertaining and the UK song is actually pretty catchy. And don’t even get me started on the Netherlands. That was the real crime among all the zeroes.
@@17andtravelling hey y'all got 2nd place last year and 16 points this year

Lol instead I was sure of their flop 😂
Did everyone listen to my warning about San Marino's entry before the contest? Back in March 2021 I realized that San Marino was the GameStop of Eurovision and I told everyone to take Adrenalina very seriously.
I think they're so low because of Flo Rida. I mean it's so stupid they brought him there he's not even from San Marino. If he wouldn't have been there, this song would definitely be in my top 10.

And that's why internal selections are usually a bad idea. You don't know what impact these songs have on a larger public beforehand, even though they can be great.

@@jeremyroenick2202 no? they just send amazing songs so they qualify but theyre not an automatic qualifier -_-

Switzerland was also a top 10 everywhere, Greece aswell. Greece was THE top 10 (both 10th televote and jury lol). Maybe there's others idk.
pretty sure the original commenter meant Italy Ukraine and France were top 10 in every country's televote
@@lex8174 Exactly. It's very difficult to achieve such a result and this year we had three songs with at least 1 point from anywhere. That explains the low scores from 15th to 26th: top 7 totally smashed the televote
Televoters top are much more accurate for me. At least, they don't kill Finland and Lithuania like juries do.
I think the combined voting is more accurate than both juries and televoters. In my opinion the bottom 4 deserved to be there but not with 0 points. Also, Belgium and Albania deserved the final and should have been higher than what televoters put them.
i like the jury top more, but i think that 50/50 is perfect for the contest
@@Escuniverse4168 Accurate for what? Juries are just small groups of people, what do they adjust really? In Poland they were just random people who were told by our TV broadcaster "give 12 points to San Marino because I like them" - is that really what should be put up there equally to 12 points from the public?
@@LovelyAngel. Or course, some juries are manipulated, I don't deny that, but I think the three best vocalists with modern well produced pop song or well produced French power ballads were awarded with a top 3 and that was fair.
Without juries we would have had Belgium and Albania out of the final and that doesn't feel right to me and many people out there
The beginning was so harsh it was actually funny. Kudos to all these countries smiling and celebrating. Unlike Malta who was literally sulking hahaha
I really regret that I didn't vote for Portugal 😅 I though it would do better tbh.
Good night 😉
PS: I needed to add two more things.

I also hope France will follow. I really want them to win Esc asap. I like France proved they can do very well with televote so no excuses heh. Barbara was amazing. I still can't believe I didn't really love her back in January or February 😅. She's so classy yes. My mom even text me about France on the night. That was the moment when I knew France was going to do very well xd
I felt bad about the whole drama or controversy.
Hope you will have the chance to live Esc like that :)
You skipped Go_A but I didn't haha 😁 I really went with heart and voted for Ukraine and Iceland. That's what I felt. and I didn't want to choose between Italy or France and I knew they didn't need my vote like your case with Go_A 😆. I also didn't want to jinx xD
I was a bit surprised Barbara and Gjon did that poor with Italian televote. Specially Barbara. Gjon's performance was maybe too Melfest Idk. 2 points for Moldova was even too much but yes surprising low xd. Kirkorov or Dream team were more focus in other countries I guess to get easy votes for Moldova or Greece xd
As for Hooverphonic, Idk what really happened. Staging was fine for me but maybe it was too dark and the whole vibe wasn't just what people wanted in this moment maybe. Juries you already said it xd. Top 10 should have been option. But they went for Bulgaria I guess Idk. Running order was terrible but someone has to perform easly 😅
Portugal and Bulgaria deserved easily that 10th place over Greece.
About time xd
This time juries and televote were bit more balanced I guess yes. We can talk about this another moment but I was surprised with some televoting things XD
I think Anxhela was saved by juries thanks to that Melfest staging and SJB factor but I might be wrong xd She was very good live tho :)
I wasnt surprised Gjon had the edge over Barbara with juries for the same reason.
The Moldova thing xD Kirkorov is fascinanting tho
As for televote, I was so happy with the outcome as usual.
And as you said it was a very diverse Top 10 and probably this will encourage other countries to be more open and try new things :)
Always nice to read your long comments and opinions. We just need to find the moment to answer but it's always interesting.
Glad your friends enjoyed the show and hopefully 2022 will be even better :) . I have to say I'm so happy everything will start from 0 😅
P.S. I haven't read into much running order yet but you might be right. There will be time to see it. I still even have to digest all the new voting data 😁
And I'm still upset and sad for Fyr og Flamme 😌 I even voted for them in the end.. but juries did everything to stop them. I just hope Denmark will send Danish again at some point.
@@nilerra8181 Hi, these few last days have been really busy and hard for me, like I always study late and then I am to tired to write in English. Anyway today, I am fine so I am finally going to reply you. Sorry for the late answer, Nil😅
I don't know if you are following charts all over Europe and the world, but Måneskin are smashing them.
I hope they will consider we won't have the contest back in Italy without Måneskin 😉
I love the fact you voted for Dadi and Go_A, both in my top 5.
Moldova, then...that song is still in my nightmares at night😂
By the way, after two years I will miss a bit Gjon, Dadi, The Roop, Victoria, Roxen, etc... after two years I really got attached to these artists. It will be a whole new start.
As you know, I really enjoy these long chats, we just need to find the right moment to reply. Hope these days you feel better after this exhausting season

Don't worry for the late answer. I feel the same about writing English 😅 specially when it's something long and most of times as Mahmood would say... My head is ciao 😆
Your writing is very good always tho :)
I do follow Maneskin news heh.
Anything can work at Eurovision which is why many people enjoy it :)
I think the lockdown was a factor with the voting or the mood probably. as you said, we all thought people wanted some fun or energy in these times but I always had a feeling that France had a chance because Barbara and Voilà had like escapism factor in some way Idk 😅 i really don't know how to explain it but It wasn't that sad, dark or depressing like others. Idk 😆 And it could easily stood out in this year's line up. Many things were in her favour heh.
My mom is always point haha. I always trust her or my friends to give me like honest opinions or reactions xd
The whole Italy/France drama was a bit too much. Specially if it goes like personal to the artists, but at the same time I guess when a country is so close to win, it's understandable. And some people is very passionate you know xd Spaniard fans would act very similar I think (or even worse xd). It'll be interesting if we see a France-Italy match in the Euro xD
Go_A and Dadi really deserved my votes. Watching my friends reaction for Iceland's performance was very emotional for me somehow. They really really loved it. And it was a very weird feeling because I was so happy for that.. yet a bit sad because 2020 and Think About Things you know. Very weird xd
Anyway, I'm glad Italian televote really voted for Iceland :) Maybe Think About Things being played last year helped but it made sense anyway heh.
Idk 😅
As for Spain's televote.
People just love to vote for Italy I guess :)
The rest of the Spanish televote went mostly to the favourites as usual. I thought Portugal would do better tho. Like 5 or 6 points. I thought it was gonna be next to Iceland more or less. In the SF, they got 12 points over Bulgaria tho xd
With Spanish juries no words.
Still a shame xd
I thought EBU didn't reveal this time the name's jurors with their votes.
I'm just so happy everything will start from 0 xd
I hope RAI will do a great job. Can't wait :)
I wanted to write more but I'm tired 😔. Maybe tomorrow I might add something else.
I'm gonna write something about televoting surprised for sure and we can discuss :)
I think I missed some things 😌
Sweden and Moldova Overrated.
Azerbaijan and Cyprus Underrated.
Imagine how many more televotes Italy would have got if Finland didn't send a rock song.
Imagine how many more televotes Finland would have got if Italy didn't send a rock song
@@amusementfun4157 A valid point.
Portugal was so good they were underrated by the televote
Agree
SERBIAAAAA
16-12th all be wearing silver 😅
I agree with it much more lmao
Surprised rw is 8th place
Bulgaria 18th in televote😂🙄Ridiculous....
Now that's how the actual final standing should look like...
Sooo every good song got low televoting points. Noicee
Lol Albania would've placed 16th once again.
Serbia❤❤
The fact that Malta got less points than norway and moldova makes me angry 😤
I dont understand why someone should vote for france
Cause it was meaningful and powerful
Virgin pop divas vs Chad Ukrainian queen 😎🇺🇦
Virgin???
black contestants always flop on televote
Norway overrated
Unpopular Opinion: I don't really get the hype around Finland
Malta deserved better
ukrainian diaspora
nope I voted for it and I ain't ukrainian. It simply was the best song. It was also voted by every single country participating so there goes your point.
Sad people thinking that every good place of Slavic country is diaspora xD
I have nothing to do with Ukraine, I just voted for Shum multiple times because I am addicted to it.
yeah, cause there are 10 millions of ukrainian people in every single country in europe.
James Newman deserved zero points for wearing fur. Stop hurting animals.
Wtf
The fur isn’t taken off while the animal is alive so they are not hurt.
I hate Tele so much
said no one with taste ever
Televote really sucks full of neighbour vote
no thats the jury-
Did you even watch jury votes lmfao
@@thelazykoala1455 most nordics and estonia gave finland 12 points in televote
kornäes lol xD Finland received 218 points for the tele votes. Only Georgia left Finland without points. Are all these countries Finland's neighbors?

how france didnt won italy is not good as france
France was meh.
@@6891x if france was meh that means that Italy was shit
Still...it won. Deal with it, man.
I also think Frances song was way better and actually all of the over top 9 and Spain too, but the majority of televoters had another taste.
switzerland was soooo overrated. gjons dancing was horrible
