Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by Egyptian comedian Bassem Youssef and later on by co-founder of the Daily Wire, Jeremy Boreing, for a heated and emotive debate on the historical treatment of Palestine during their conflict with Israel and whether Israel's decision to bomb Gaza in an attempt to get rid of Hamas is justified and proportionate after the attacks on October 7th.
Bassem condemns the terrorist organisation Hamas and tries to explain that people have been desensitised to accept that civilians dying is an inevitability of war.
Piers then suggests he doesn't know what the "proportionate response" to a terrorist attack of Hamas's scale would be. Bassem responds by referencing a graph that shows the total amount of deaths in the conflict prior to the attacks and questions the Palestinian killings in the West Bank, which has never been occupied by Hamas fighters.
Bassem then mocks Ben Shapiro for his public stance on Israel defending themselves, questioning how an occupier can be defending themselves. Shapiro's friend and colleague Jeremy is then invited by Piers to debate Bassem's criticisms.

Saw Basim on Lex Friedman podcast and immediately came here after I was finished with it. I have seen a few of Piers Morgan‘s interviews and I have to say I am usually so annoyed by them. This is the first time I really seen an interviewee get Piers Morgan on the back foot at all, and it was glorious, good on Basim

Yeah that was rather hypocritical. Piers had to ask the same question ten times, and he kept dodging it by asking Piers questions. Then when we tell him he had 30 minutes to explain his position and now time has run out he acts he was given unfair treatment. I'm not all that interest in that kind of person's opinion.

When someone from the street comes to occupy your house you resist. Palestinians had been resisting for 75 years.
This guy single-handedly passed a message that millions of people hold in their hearts but don't have a platform to say it out loud. It was a powerful interview that will be remembered for life because it happened during a historic event when every word counts to awaken people. As an American, I'm really glad that this interview took place, and despite my differences with Piers, I commend him for inviting guests that other mainstream outlets are afraid to invite.
It seems that I am the only one who has not published anything related to Palestine until now. I did not congratulate the Palestinians when their attack on Israel occurred because I believe that what happened was a political agreement between the leaders of Hamas and the Zionist entity in order to hand over Gaza to the Zionist occupation forces, and that what happened was planned. Between the leaders of Hamas and the Zionist entity, the price was paid to the leaders of Hamas, and the only losers in this issue are the intellectually absent and the civilians. Such a process was tantamount to giving the green light to Israel and the full pretext for occupying the remainder of Palestine, and gives the Zionist entity the right to kill civilians and children in front of the eyes of the international community, and this is what is happening currently.

Poor Piers... He comes down with few knock-out questions that , he assumes are enough for him to control and drive the meeting. It did work for him marvelously till now. The guy in front of him was more articulate and intelligent than he will ever be, knew his stuff way better than him, and was completely detached humorous and balanced. Never seen a meeting setup when the guy supposed to be knocked down gets almost all the punches and leave the big champion mumbling and rumbling on the floor completely lost in space and time. And this all the way laughing and in complete control of the meeting. It was not suppose to happen like that!! The second interview, asked again by Piers , was different but no win, even this time for him. He did recognize though, that he was pretty much lost and speechless in the first encounter. This interview is a marvel. It shows how you can use your mind to see the world in so many ways. PS. Bassem can turn a meeting like this( heavy story and a lot of hate traps) upside down where people, instead of judging others start thinking about their own judgement. and all this laughing down till the end.

Let's not ignore the fact that Bassem Youssef is not just a comedian, but also a *former cardiac surgeon* who practiced for 13 years before his move into comedy and political satire. I don't see how being a surgeon or a doctor in general is a qualification for speaking about political issues. You don't need to have studied and have a degree to talk about politics and especially about war.
