You do need many of those food items your selling for researching foods at the research station which can get you recipes and items that can give substantial bonuses and heals. The small chest in the Lodge basement crafting area 'seems' endless so chuck them into that until you don't need them for researching anymore, not a major loss in trading as they are not worth much. Note that the chest does not link to the crafting tables, which is weird, but just go to it before any crafting/researching and transfer everything to your character, encumbrance doesn't matter here, then pop it back in after you have finished)

In that first city " New Atlantis", there is a vendor close to your ship.
Go down the stairs from your ship, go left and upp the stairs.
Keep to the left and go up to the building, follow it to the right and thru the glas doors, there you will find a vendor.
That vendor even has a mission for you.
Commerce skill to me as a loot hoarder, is the first 4 skills I picked up. Easy to master rank 4, just pick up everything, Maxed out items are 20% cheaper to buy and 25% more from selling.
also, if you sleep for 24 hours. the vendor's will re stock their shops and credits. So you can sell at the kiost, then board your ship and sleep. then go back to the kiosk.
For me personally, I've found that just doing missions and quests is the fastest way to make a lot of money. For the amount of time I would spend doing inventory management and looking around for loot to sell, I could have done a couple quests that reward anywhere from 1,500-5,000 credits a piece.
I think it's a combo that works best for me. Do quests while taking everything valuable.

this is so useful! I made the mistake of selling contraband and not getting any profit from it didn't notice the vendors had a certain amount awesome video
There are more vendors in New Atlantis as well, including a Trade Authority in The Well. There's an elevator in the MAST NAT station that takes you down there. Multiple shops to sell to, buy resources and more importantly sell contraband at Trade Authority
Go to the Wolf star system and dock with the space station there. No scan for contraband, his vendor limit is 11,000, a chair right next to it to sit for a day and let his vendor limit refresh and he pays more for contraband than the atlantis trade authority.
Also use the Trade Authority to change out stolen items; like sell a gun you like and buy it back.
Just to the left of the coffee shop there's a store there that buys and sells anything.
Hey Z is there any way to sell directly from outpost ?
Why is the Trade Authority not the GO-TO place to sell items? They have the most cash at 11k I believe, and 5k+ from Yellow kiosk as well.
When your doing research you also need/want the food items like lemons, raw meat and other ingredients.
The ship also has another perk...Bad guys are afraid and will run from you...😁
also note for those who have Vasco running about with them or other robotic sidekick.
they can also carry stuff for you so don't be afraid to swap stuff around and load him up prior to heading back to your ship.
Any companions you have can carry items and you can tell them to equip any of the better armour/weapons that you've put in their inventory as well =)

Traders restock with credits every 24 in game hours so sitting on a bench or sleeping can time skip to keep on selling to the same trader

You just go back to your ship, bed and sleep for twenty four hours 😂 You don't even have to run around
Little rule I follow for looting is that I loot based on the mass of the item relative to its value (1000 creds to 1 mass). So if something has a mass of 4 and its worth 5k, I'll take it.

It's ship upgrades, but you need skills for the better stuff. I think he just dropped a video on it.
You ran right by Jemison Mercantile...They will buy just about everything. Convenient to spaceport to buy resources as well.

If you want to sell illegal contraband, the trade authorities will buy it. You just have to get to one without getting scanned.
Have you found a mantis yet? There’s something that you get when you loot some of the bodies they talk about the mantis the new ship that you can get for free
Maybe do the Red Mile challenge many times if need to level up by running/moving, or similar ones. XD

can you make a video for hoarders? i have a cargo ship with 2000 storage (filled with resources), but currently need to switch to my fighter ship with 400 storage. how to deal with all those excess resources? (selling them is not an option :)

If he only buys and sells weapons then it's not like you can accidentally sell or buy something other than that. So I don't know what you're saying to be careful about. On top of that, you should really think about scripting your videos. Not trying to be rude, but the majority of your video you are mumbling and tripping over yourself trying to figure out what you want to say. It makes for a very frustrating viewing experience. You take minutes saying something that could have been said in a few seconds if you knew what you were saying, instead of going Ahh.. err..umm..ahh...uhh.., constantly.
